I’ve been waiting for your video for so long. Thanks for providing such a great content. I’ll looking forward for A95K and A90J comparison.
Once again the best reviewer on RUclips have given us the goods. Great advice Vincent.
Thank you so very much for all of your videos... they are incredible and at this point the most scientific and informative comparisons. I dont think there is anyone better in the space. These are the gold standard. that said... I was wondering if you had a S95B vs G2 with a reference monitor or are planning to do one? Thank you again.
What everyone has been waiting for. Thanks Vincent.
Vincent, I finally subscribed to your channel and think it’s absolutely awesome and love your dry humor! With that said I am anxious to see what Samsung does in regards to firmware/software updates moving forward. Obviously you have a tremendous amount of clout with the major manufacturers as it appears they highly respect what you do. Case in point… Samsung supposedly came out with their last update based on your findings.
I hope all manufacturers take note of what you do. I’m sure none of the companies can afford you! 😉. Best regards and thank you for everything you do.
Pros and Cons on both sides… seems like I didn’t make a huge mistake buying a C1 earlier this year. Maybe a future generation of QD-OLED will be worth upgrading to.
Edit for clarity: I didn’t meant to sound like I upgrade TVs every other year… my last TV was a Samsung LCD from 2013. I just thought it maybe was bad timing to buy my first new TV in almost a decade shortly before QD-OLED TVs were a thing.
Yeah I jumped the gun before on both Samsung and Sony. Never again.
BTW if you're in a dim or dark room the C and G1 are still banging for your buck! You can get these for around £1000 pound in U.K
@@SSNebula For which size of the C1?
Ditto. Did you get the Evo on yours? I did but it doesn't matter really bc I'm unwilling to void my warranty by activating it. But the temptation is always there. Lol
Surely the C1 should hold you good for 5 years atleast?
Great comparison as always!
Thanks for the video, Vince. I hope all is well.
Sony A95K all the way! ❤️
The lower APL is a BIG deal! I honestly thought due to OLED's nature it was not possible. Happy to see sony pull it off.
Great work as always
Hey Vincent if you haven't figured it out yet you can configure the 123 button on the Samsung smart remote to take you directly to the settings menu when you press it twice. Very useful during calibration.
Doesn’t work though if you left that menu in one of the other sub menus that don’t contain the settings app? btw I don’t understand why Samsung didn’t add quick access to the input/connections menu there. Same goes for quick access of streaming apps. Tizen is really not thought out.
@@yappa6222 Agreed that the new Tizen is a dumpster fire. The best solution would of course be to have dedicated settings and input buttons, but no matter how you slice it using the 123 button to get to the settings is faster than navigating through the dashboard.
This is one of the reasons i stick with Sony. Shortcuts to all the important stuff right on the controller and a shortcut menu for brightness, picture modes etc.
Samsung S95b out-best every TVs in market in gaming and highlight and color depth and level of blackness and in movie both Sony A95k and S95b are the king buy A95k has permanent built-in blue screen issue but in Audio A95k is slightly edges and btw S95b is half the price of the A95k but worth two times more lol.
Wow, Vincent. As enthousiasts consumers, we're so happy you're making these in-depth videos. Not only does it help us make better choices, but you pointing out to manufacturers where they need to improve things, means that we'll be getting even better products in the future.
Everyone was waiting for this one. Thank you for delivering Vincent! I like that you pointed out how brightness measurements on a simple test pattern is only part of the full story. What happens with real HDR content in practice when tone mapping comes into the equation is also important. It was interesting to see that Sony can actually be brighter at times due to the XR processor studying the frame and applying the light more accurately.
HDR and Dolby Vision with the words accurate color tones is an oxymoron.
I just don’t trust samsung built quality and software on the s95b. Also that raised black in the day is a deal breaker for me. shame sony stick to that inferior mediatec chip. As others think, its first generation beta testing. I will upgrade in a few years and it will also be cheaper.
XR Contrast or brightness comes out of XR Processor is nonexistent compared to the JZ2000. That is against the A80J and you will say jZ2000 iS a FlAgShIp CoMpArE iT tO tHe A90j but the difference on highlights between the A80J and the A90J is 40% at best but the difference between the JZ2000 and the A80J was 5 times greater! Lights reflected on a guy's hair was nonexistent on the A80J and the background wasn't even visible when you set Black Level at 27 on the A8H while it was visible clearly on the JZ2000. Sony sucks. It doesn't worth the money it asks for. They don't do Panasonic's level of work.
@@MuzdokOfficial Why? According to RTINGS Samsung's build quality is on par with LG and Sony. Why? You can control Black Level on Sony with way more control. 🤣 So it's not a problem, if it's raised out of the box then you crush the hell out of it even more than LGs. 🤣 Well, Sony is gonna make its own chip in 2024 that they also may plan using for their future consoles. Keep that in mind.
@@YavNe Panasonic is not without their issues. They were the first to abuse white subpixel and introduce dilution. Hopefully they learned a lesson
I love the section titles in the video :D
Hi Vincent, thanks for another great review, in the UK the Samsung is available for £1399 for 65inc model so makes it an absolute no brainer imo
You don't need to navigate through all the menus using the home button or purchase an older model remote to get to the picture settings quicker on the S95B. You can literally get to them in two button presses once set up to do so.
Press the Settings/123 button in the upper left hand side of the remote, if you see numbers, press up on the pad and you should now see "All Settings". The TV will remember your preference of having this button set to go to "All Settings" until reboot.
They are new technology televisions, new generation and so expensive but even so you have to think carefully before deciding on one of the two. My preference is with Sony for several reasons, Dolby Vision, Android, heat sink but I think it's better to wait for version "2.0".
Good review, thanks.
Tizen on Samsung TV works better than Google on Sony TV for me ... on other hand i prefer Sony backlit remote to Samsung solar remote. Sonys are also sturdier built, better packaged and statistically more reliable. Depending on what country you're in though the price premium may not be worth it.
Not expensive at all. They literally cost the same as WRGB OLED. What are you on? lmao. 🤣
You know dolby vision doesn't make a difference in picture quality right? Its already been exposed by that

New subscriber…thank you for all your videos and all the knowledge you share :) I am undecided between the Sony A90K (48 inch) and Samsung S95B (55) and LG C2 (55). Seems like the A90K often gets overlooked online…all of your info is fantastic and allows us all to make the best possible decisions :)
Amazing review as always, your the best.
I hope Sony starts including an internal LUT and Gen so that Calman can support them for not professional but pretty fargin good calibration.
Calman for Home on my CX is totally awesome for getting the necessary E < 2 to use as an offline studio monitor when proper color mastering isn't in the project budget.
The Sony elimination of the ABL is a hard PRO to beat from any tv. It's gotten bad on my LG C9 after the last few of these firmware updates and it's something I'm definitely looking for in my next TV. I am looking forward to your next video QD vs WRGB in identifying if I go with Sony or LG.
I recently disabled ABL on my CX. If it leads to burn-in, then I'll have an excuse to buy something new. I didn't buy a product with high performance specs just for those specs to be self regulated. It's like buying a Ferrari that can't exceed 55 mph. Where's the enjoyment in that?
No? It's because of the heatsink combined with the QD-OLED panel. You don't know sh** you're talking about. They've failed to do that on the A90J and was dimming af by like 50% after 3 minutes of watching content or playing games while JZ2000 wasn't dimming at all. So, there is a TV that does that even before Sony doing that. XD
@@travisjacobson682 Then go buy LED? lol.
Would go sony. Have c1 and Im selling it for half price because of webos problems. I compared it side by side to a80j and a80j also somehow looked way better although explosions showed abl but it was still better than on lg

Ooh, interested in this year shootout, wanna see how would the LZ2000 stack up against the QD-OLEDs as well as Sony WRGB OLED A90K and A80K. Additionally against the G2 as well.
Hi Vincent, great comparisation! But my S95B has just been updated and the peak brightness suddenly dropped dramatically !!
How do you like it now? I was thinking of buying the S95B. Is the drop off in brightness that bad to the point you regret buying it?

@@kuxii_youtube calibration is always overpriced, that's how Vincent made millions and now he is retired. 😂😂
Thanks, Barry, but why are you yelling?
1:36 Seems like shadow detail or blacks are compressed on the Samsung given how Samsung is green tinted there. From my experience of watching comparison videos for months that's what happens when the shadow detail is compressed. On the other hand Sony looks how Panasonic does in dark areas, colors are a bit more brown. I prefer brown over fugly green. 👍 Can't wait to see Panasonic's take on QD-OLED and actually a comparison to the JZ2000. Also, LG QD-OLED. Since QD-OLED fixes flaws of WRGB OLED, there's a chance that LG wouldn't give fugly colors like it does on WRGB OLED. Otherwise LG would do great, IMO and these fugly colors caused by WRGB OLED.(Not counting bloody orange red, I think it was on LG's side. 🤣)
Great video as always. Any chance we can get a 48" Sony A90K vs. 48" LG C2 comparison video? I am looking for a new TV to use with my Xbox and the space is limited, so a 55" TV would likely feel a bit too big for the room (my current TV is 42"). The TV will mostly be used for gaming with a bit of movie and TV streaming using the Netflix and Disney+ apps on my Xbox, and I'm just not sure if the extra premium features in the Sony would be worth the higher price for my use (I only have an Xbox so only having 2 HDMI 2.1 ports on the Sony isn't an issue). Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Any QD oled is going to knock the socks off regular oled...that's just a given.
I'm a little shy of this price range :P but I still enjoy knowing how the leading manufacturers are doing at the top end
Hi Vincent, hope all is well. I have viewed all your videos on HDTVTEST on RUclips. I am grateful for all the information and reviews you have provided. I just purchased a Sony 55" A95K and I'm hoping to calibrate it. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Thank you for the side by side.
Could you please expand on the issue with the A95k 4:4:4? I use my tv with my PC quite a lot (gaming)
Apparently 4:4:4 renders text better, and also has a better color depth which is good for games more than video.

Hello Vincent. Happily watching you from Mexico!! Quick question, will you at any point review the Samsung QN900B? If not, what are your thoughts on the QN900B vs the S95B/A95K? I'm sad to report that neither Sony nor Samsung are bringing their QD OLED models to Mexico, at least not officially :(
Yeah, same for Turkey. :((( It's a shame that we can't enjoy great display technologies the day 1. :/
Not that hard to buy a US version and have it delivered to Mexico. I'm sure it can be done.
@@LazyCrazyGuy yes, of course. Thing is, TV is already somewhat expensive, doing all of that adds up to almost twice it's cost, and with something this costly, I would absolutely want a warranty I could rely on.
No doubt QD-OLED will eventually end up being consumer choice, which will help SAMSUNG create a very strong comeback advantage. Considering QLED are still comparatively worthy for their insane level of brightness despite significant drawback against OLED. Thus, it is natural to specifically be seeking it's evolution to intensify retina torching light. Although still incapable of passing G2 in standardized experience due to tried and true refinement, I prefer it to LG style of pixel layout even if not their software AI GEN 3 processing onward. Not sure how Sony thought they could drop the ball this hard, should have had those frontier convered. Aside from ABL, SAMSUNG is offering a sneak peek at what it eventually will be in future next generation hence they will market their eye popping fidelity first and foremost to those impatiently awaiting. Still doesn't surpass CX
you can quickly access the settings menu by hitting the number button on the smart remote of the S95B and go up using the arrow :D
Thank you for this Vs. There 're shorcuts on the samsung remote to access parameters and sources. No classic remote to add or pass on the home dashboard. ;)
I will once again admit that the a95k is a bit better overall than the s95b, but I put a big emphasis on the word "bit" there. Most of the differences mentioned in this video will not be noticeable in regular content and as such, I find it extremely difficult to rationalize the extreme price hike for the a95k.
100%
All depends on use case. Im more into gaming so i went with s95b. Also i want my picture to pop n have higher brightness(not being significantly inaccurate) so s95b
Ppl who watch a lot of low bitrate content, i wud say go with a95k as it wud be noticeable to them. It’s also for ppl who r crazy about accuracy (most probably ppl who r into color grading n filmmaking although qd oled tv wudnt be the best choice for these things anyway)
Also the ports are an issue as well. If u use just a soundbar i guess 2 hdmi 2.1 works.
Black smearing OR overbrightned dark secnes WILL be obvious.
Wait till next year
Great points everyone! I agree!
Awesome video Vincent, thanks once again! I’ve been saying this for months, as I already saw this coming as I own both brands. Both of these TVs are amazing in their own rights, and both have pros and cons that favor one over the other as mentioned in this video. Tons of Sony brand loyalists were acting like the A95K would decimate the S95B and we clearly see they are neck and neck as I’ve been saying for months now, and you can’t go wrong with either depending on your use case. I’d recommend either again depending on a person’s budget and use case, but do know they are extremely close and can be manually adjusted to be even more similar (as we will see in future reviews).
If the Sony decimated the Samsung it would only be knocking off 1 out of 10.
Hi there - I do I find more about the shootout event you mentioned?

Hi Vincent, has Samsung improved the dimming problem with the new update ?
Great video. I would like to see a side by side with dolby vision on the Sony and HDR10 on the samsung. Because I think the lack of DV may be a dealbreaker for me
Sony's iteration of DV leaves a lot to be desired. The HDR10 performance on the Samsung looks better than any DV content on the Sony.

I get Directv premier movie channels like HBO in 10 bit color and some 4k movies in 12 bit color. But the best viewing experience comes from Netflix movies in Dolby Vision Bright. just got the Sony A80K in 77 inch! couldn’t be happier😎
Even though I'm usually a Sony person I have to say I like my Samsung S95B QD-OLED TV it's so good for gaming.
Great comparison as always! I bought the LG C1 77" last year, and I plan to use that for many years to come. If Sony can get their gaming features down and offer 4x HDMI 2.1 ports then that TV will be on my short list. I couldn't imagine being the A95K for $4000, and it doesn't match what my LG C1 offers in terms of gaming.
It's annoying it doesn't have 4x hdmi 2.1 but I'd happily pay for this TV over LG (as a cx owner). The only real gaming difference is gsync which I don't care about.
Thanks Vincent! Any chance of a review of the A90K?
Hey Vincent! The Tech Chap measured 2358 nits of brightness on Samsung's new Odyssey Neo G8 gaming monitor!

Vincent, any workaround for watching older shows that have lifted blacks on the S95B? The gamma and shadow details don't go low enough to reach the black level intercept of the content. Why did they take away the brightness control? 🤦♂️
Great video, what is the impact of not having Dolby Visions on Samsung vs Sony
Hopefully the advantages of QD-OLED will prompt LG Display to work on addressing those flaws in WRGB OLEDs. Also hoping to see a more traditional pixel layout in the future, or some other way like improved processing to avoid color-fringing in PC monitor use. And more competitive prices, of course. Really impressed by A95K's sustained brightness.
Would love to see a 42" QD-OLED monitor with heatsink and LCD-type pixel layout.
Seems like both OLED still has VRR + gray area flicker. Maybe one day we will see a IGZO-like back pane to fix it.

Went with the S95B during Memorial day sale plus a little extra off due to using Rakuten. If the difference in price was in the $500 ball park, I probably would have gone for the A95k.

Watch any pro review post calibration and you will see that WOLED is more accurate. QD-OLED is great but it's far from destroying WOLED or even close. Especially not in terms of value and size. Both has pros and cons. QD-OLED panels are small but expensive. 65 inch tops is crap in 2022. Most high-end TV buyers wants 75+ inches, and have been for years. QD-OLED needs 75+ ASAP to even compete in the high-end markets. Most that buy high-end is not going to settle with a silly 55 or 65. 65 might work in the bedroom, but living room, come on. I have 77 inch OLED in my living room. Next is going to be 83 minimum, if not bigger. I could not care less about QD-OLED if they don't make bigger panels. Money is not a problem, I have 77 inch LG G1 in living room now. I buy a new TV every 2 or 3 years and then the old ones goes to the bedroom. I have 65 inch C9 in the bedroom. Still looks insanely good 4-5 years later with zero burn-in. Go read about users complaining after updating their firmware on the S95B and you will see that the brightnes dropped ALOT. Overall, the Sony looks to me like a better TV, although it's maybe slightly less capable as a gaming display.
Which is ironic since they're a console manufacturer
@@andrewc31394 The same can be said about Samsung as they are most likely the one who supplied their oled panels to Sony
Sony TV has always been anti gaming and only focus on movies and cinema experience, it's like their TV department and Playstation hate each other or something.
@@yuesu2325 yes and no 😂 . Sony TV department thinks everyone will buy their TVs simply because their sister company makes a console . They don’t understand that there’s a lot of gaming tv alternatives and with the internet , it just takes a few quick searches to find out their TVs aren’t the best for gaming . Either way It’s a really stupid approach
@@yuesu2325 To be fair, the A95K is not a BAD gaming TV. Pixel response times are VERY low and input lag in game mode is pretty decent as well. It just doesn't have the extras that make for a GREAT gaming TV. It's merely a GOOD one.
UI/Sound/Colours /motion look way better on the Sony, Sony also support Dolby vision(Samsung does not)Sony ticks all boxes even gaming(input lag is still low)
Dunno about sound but nah, it's the opposite except motion. UI and colors look way better on the Samsung to the point Sony can't even compete on these segments. But yeah, motion is way better on the Sony. Samsung just got more beautiful colors, Sony gives out ugly, warm colors that Samsung choose not to. Dolby Vision doesn't matter if you got better colors already. Plus if you want warm colors Samsung known giving these warm colors out of the box and you can always go to Warm2.

Any luck on that WRGB OLDE vs QD-OLED comparison? I keep seeing the S95B vs. A95K, but what I really want to know is which is better between the S95B and the C2 or G2.
Vincent, I would appreciate a QN90B QLED / Mini LED discussion or settings set up. Thanks!
Motion is way better on the Sony imo. It's way smoother.
Thanks, Vincent, for posting this excellent comparison between these QD-OLED models. I'm fairly convinced that when I buy my next TV I'd prefer to invest in QD-OLED technology rather than WOLED. I like saving money, so I'm tempted to choose the Samsung S95B, while at the same time I'm feeling somewhat reticent, because I have owned 2 flagship Samsung TVs and BOTH of them have needed expensive repairs. I figure that if the Sony A95K can provide me with several years of reliable, trouble-free performance it will be a better long-term value, even if its initial purchase price is much higher. I'll also appreciate the superior picture quality of Sony's QD-OLED. I'll wait until Black Friday sales to see what sort of discount will be offered on the A95K...
I'm not sure there's much long-term value to be had in the first generation of a new technology. It should get cheaper (and more reliable) as manufacturing processes mature. In the meantime, you could enjoy a WOLED for roughly half the price and (subjectively) ~90% of the picture quality. Buying the latest and greatest is almost always the antithesis of saving money. Returns on your dollar diminish rapidly the closer you get to the top of the lineup (in any technology). There is far better value in the middle of the pack.
@@travisjacobson682 While QD-OLED is a new hybrid panel, the technology of using OLEDs and Quantum Dots in displays is long-established, so I don't expect QD-OLED to be substantially less dependable than WOLED. The other electronic components of QD-OLED TVs will be very similar to those found in WOLED models, so in that regard the TV's reliability will be determined by the quality of those components and the care with which they are assembled. This is only an educated guess on my part, but it strikes me that a company like Sony would want to build their introductory QD-OLED TVs with the greatest attention to detail so they can avoid higher than average failure rates in their new flagship model. (By the way - the two Samsung TVs I mentioned that needed repairs were models whose display technology had already been on the market for more than 15 years.) You're right that buying the latest and greatest tech rarely yields bang-for-the-buck savings, but a state-of-the-art TV that provides you with delightful picture quality for several years in a row can prove to be a personally rewarding investment in the long run (and for those who are buying a 55" Samsung S95B the current cost is only $200 more than the 55" LG C2 or the 55" Samsung QN90B and it's the SAME price as the Sony A90J). I agree with you that the best TV values can often be found among the second-tier models: If I were purchasing a WOLED TV today I would definitely opt for the Sony A80 or the LG C. Still, I think that QD-OLED technology is an improvement upon WOLED and deserves to be supported. If the TV I'm now using stopped working this year, I'd probably want to replace it with a QD-OLED.
@Vincent:
Thanks so much for your great content. I have a question;
One reviewer says the Samsung s95b doesn’t keep its black black, but turns purple
In a room with ambient light, what is your take on this claim?
Linus Tech Tips did a video with the s95b and A95K. To me it looked a tiny bit purple in their decently lit room. My take it that it can be the anti-glare coating used. In his LG G1 and G2 comparison one looked considerably greener than the other, but in a dark room they looked almost identical in color and that was his conclusion.
Hi Vincent! I was looking at getting an S95B at one of my local retailers (They just dropped here in Singapore) but I realised under the TV specs it says it only has a refresh rate of 100Hz… Does this mean that despite the HDMI 2.1 capable of 4K 120Hz the TV will only ever output up to 100Hz?
I am gonna buy a new tv for movies and games. I think I will opt for the Sony, even if input lag is higher than Samsung. I prefer Sony for the image quality and for the design.
wouldn't you be better off with an LG C1 or C2 ?
Good decision ... already the presence of a heatspreader is more than enough to decide for the Sony.
Samsung already massively reduced the S95B brightness capabilities close to the level of the A95K ... the reason for sure is the S95B gets too many and too intensive hotspots and will not last long without limiting it to healthy values.
One of the other options will be a LG G2 ... for the same reason (heatspreader) ... the G2 already outperforms the A90J and a comparison with the A95K will probably be quite tight.
Two other options will then be the Panasonic LZ2000 and LZ1500 ... both probably using the latest "EX" panels and a heatspreader ... as the G2.
@@BlazeBluetm35 No, because the C1 and C2 are lacking a heatspreader ... which the Sony A95K has !
The G2 would be the more reliable choice (and comparable) ... because it uses the "EX" panel and a heatspreader ... AND ... more important: it's no "first year tech" and "first year product" ... the G2 is a thoroughly matured product from 9 years OLED tech and OLED tv development
@@marcuscole8796 I would need to buy a stand for the LG G2 and I can’t seem to find where G2 stands are sold in the UK
@@marcuscole8796 The heat sink does nothing but help with image retention which has been a problem since early years of OLED. S95B is still brighter with an actual game mode. The C2 is also great without the heat sink. It's not that special lol
Easy win for the A95K. That ABL on the S95B is shockingly bad. This is why the addition of a heatsink is so important. Not surprised to hear that Samsung is limiting peak brightness with recent updates as well. Great comparison as always Vincent.
For me, thats the part of the video when i feel irrelevance, when will you run stg 100% same image looped longer than 5min at home AND that requires to maintain the image quality???
@@kuxii_youtube it's not about the same image looped. The Samsung gets overheated more quickly and it doesn't retain the same brightness as sony. Try to watch or play a bright game and after 7 minutes its gets dimmer
@@IEcLiPsEI95 Most OLED doesn't have heatsink and sony is also 1000$ more expensive.
@@blueisthecolor3463 this is not even an oled, and oled don't typically reach 1000 nits, but the led ones
@@IEcLiPsEI95 this is an OLED ? It’s a Blue OLED panel beneath a quantum dot colour layer it’s not LED at all
Any word on how bearable the BFI is? I know it is subjective, but... maybe any comparison with other TVs? Is it a mild flicker? Strong flicker? You mentioned, that it's 48 Hz BFI on the Sony. So very strong flickering...?
From what I could try with the S95B, in the earliest firmware version it was horrible in 60p, but at 24p it was near plasmas (with no soap opera effect). With later firmware versions it was completely ruined, with undefeatable soap opera effect.
Hi Vincent, please, can you tell me which episode of GOT do you use as an example in your videos? Thanks
LG QD-OLED when? Seriously the trade-offs from both sides (Samsung’s Tizen and no DV vs Sony’s lack of hdmi 2.1 ports and poorer gaming experience) are too hard to ignore for me.
LG will not buy QD-oled panels from Samsung... Panasonuc may, or may not do it in the couple of years.
Will be sticking with my C9 for the next 3 years at least. I cant see any meaningful reasons to upgrade. Use for PS5 and Plex streaming 4K movies and the usual Netflix etc it’s brilliant and these new tvs don’t really improve that much. I bit brighter etc but nothing that make the extra cost worth it for me.
Same for me with my Panasonic GZ1000, still a beast!
What are you on? Are you crazy? The C9 sucks, any WRGB OLED sucks. They lack COLORS!!! It's not just brightness, it's COLOR brightness along with way bigger color volume. Your amazing OLED lacks colors and image looks lifeless in reality. You didn't even see the better one. See a Sony OLED next to it and see how LG scr**s up the color accuracy on skin tones when light reflected on people's skin then I bet you will never ever buy LG again. LG makes a black guy looks like an Asian!!! Panasonic is even better but difference is marginal and negligible against a Sony. Yep, it's brilliant until you see a QD-OLED then you move on.

3 years is a long time. Next year.... you'll want a new TV.
Hey Vincent, can you do a video of your thoughts on the samsung 1302 update and how the nits took a drastic hit
Man I'll tell you it's great to not ever had an OLED of any sort. Anything I decide to buy will be a upgrade from my old, failed Samsung with its 9 glowing orbs lol. I'm leaning LG G2 at this point as it looks like a good all around TV.
@HDTVtest do you think they will have bigger screens for QD-OLED next year? I really want this sony but I have a 65" tv already it doesn't make sense to me to buy the same size!
Hello Nick I had to see this review too brotha.
Hopefully 75 inches at decent prices. 65 inches to too small for me, had 65 inches for many years and I will never side-grade in size. Always at least 5 inches up, pref 10+
@Bzake maybe they are not sure about larger sizes yet for QD OLED.
Hey Rick but it's a QD OLED.
@@Dr.WhetFarts yep man , i just went from 65vt60 old dimm plasma for Sony oled 83" A90J
I'm going with the A95k for my living room, primarily for the movie quality picture settings.
Will be interesting Panasonic with this technology QD OLED next year.
How accurate are the game modes? I currently own a Panasonic OLED and they made the game mode an option, that seems to work well for every picture mode. This seems like the correct choice to implement low latency.
Thanks for another great video Vincent. So both companies are keeping the same focus - S95B for gamers and A95k for movie lovers. I'm really disappointed that Sony is still using an old chipset and not really showing any interest in gaming which is really odd too me, given their PlayStation gaming heritage. Now that you've got that comparison out of the way, when are we going to see the TCL C935K review ?
because they can't. They have a contract with the mediatek SoC till 2023
Yeah Sony doesn’t focus on making TVs that will work with a person that has four or five gaming consuls to connect to it in high-powered computers they focus on being the most accurate picture quality in gaming and movies and best performing TV in the market.
@@mastixencounter Yes but surely this doesn't stop them using a newer model MediaTek Chip
@@alambe7275 Yes, it's not great - at a minimum it should be a minimum of 3 high speed 2.1 ports - 2 for consoles and one for Earc to support all the standards.
@@alambe7275 That's not what I'm saying. Sony doesn't have control over having 4 hdmi outputs. Mediatek makes the chipsets in the sony tv's, which only has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports. And Sony has a contract with them till 2023. So you have to tell MediaTek to update their chipsets, not sony.
