One of the most beautiful albums ever written. I can't help but to be brought to tears. It is an absolute tragedy that this the only album this band ever released.
God, the very first note of the album takes me straight back to first year of university, sitting in my room in student halls doing my work. It speaks volumes for a piece of music when it can have such an effect. It was neither a happy nor a sad time particularly, and this music speaks wonders for that, for me - it's just an intense burst of memory.
I have no words to describe how much I agree with you. I think it's about 10 years since I have heard this band for the first time. In my case, it was making the first steps in programming. Maybe my first ever "Hello world" was written to this song. I didn't understand most of the things, but it was such an amazing time.
@@sergeypotekhin1109 Love to hear about others' experiences and knowing that people out there besides me have a deeply ingrained love for this album, to the point that they have specific memories attached to it. Thanks for sharing!
One of my new favourites. I cannot wait to hear what they come out with next. I stood in a storm verging on gale tonight as it went dark, with my jacket off and only thin top on, being cleansed by the music and lashing rain. It was utterly magical. No drugs involved, either.
Favorite Track : Waiting and waltzing in airport terminals 13:03 01 I just wanted to make you something beautiful 00:00 02 Waiting and waltzing in airport terminals 13:03 03 The lights weren't that bright, but our eyes were so tired 26:10
The more amazing person on this world recommended his playlist to me, and in it was this song. Am grateful to the universe for having met her, her and this song
+Simon Young Vinyl and CD is limiting. PCM with a large frequency range and very detailed quantization is the way to go. But it is pointless without good speakers.
Yndi Halda is so amazing. I've been absorbing all this wonderful music on your channel for a few days now and Yndi Halda have been one of my favs so far. It's funny because I've known of Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, and Mogwai for many many years but never really got into the Genre as a whole but as I've grown older my taste in music has changed and these days I find a lot of the lyrics in music annoy me so I recently added all of Explosion's in the sky's albums to my Google Play Music library and then I added Sigur Ros (since I can't understand what they are saying) and then I found your channel and it's been such a wonderful blessing. My Google Play Music Library is almost nothing but Post Rock now. I literally have deleted almost all of the stuff that was already there because for some reason all I want to listen to now is this amazing music. It's so beautiful.
I'm a big fan of Yndi Halda; this band reminds me of them. Do you know of any other bands that have a similar sound and style? Can't get enough of it sometimes. Thanks!
Ricky Lais I am big fan of Yndi Halda too. I can say The Ascent of Everest, The Evpatoria Report, Hungry Ghosts maybe Magyar Posse, Hrsta but they are not similar as much as Industries of the Blind. I think we have to wait their new album, they are unique.
+Worldhaspostrock I saw yndi halda live a couple of years ago, their newer material is interesting but very different from the first album so don't expect another 'Enjoy Eternal Bliss'
Try “The Sound”, by Swans. This is pretty similar to that song. Even the Band name is similar to the name of the album The Sound came from. “Industries of the Blind”, “Soundtracks for the Blind.”
It's a really good album and I've been listening a lot to it since I first heard it last week... (and obviously here follows:) but, am I the only one that thinks the intro to 'The lights weren't that bright...' sounds a lot like the bridge in Explosions in the Sky's 'Your hand in mine'? I'm not saying they 'stole' it, to be clear. (ruclips.net/video/cdiY6kijYHE/видео.html)
As you listen to more music you'll start to notice common patterns. For example, if you listen to "Things of Beauty Burn by Hammock," you'll notice that it has patterns similar to "Wonderwall by Oasis" and "The Frail by Nine Inch Nails." Another example is: "Tomorrow I'll be You by Thursday" and "Pride War by Further Seems Forever." I don't believe any of the bands are stealing riffs off of each other. I think there are just some amazing patterns in music that a lot people keep rediscovering.
It doesn't to anyone who truly listens to the music and doesn't normally simply listen to lyrics. At the unfortunate risk of sounding like a douche bag, I think you have to be a certain type of person to understand.
I like the band's name. Reminds me of Marx and his automatic subject... "In several passages of his texts, Marx says that capital is Subject: For example, in the Grundrisse, he say that “Capital is the all-dominating economic power of bourgeois society” (p. 107) and further on, considered it as value, “Value enters as subject” (p. 311); in Capital he characterizes it as “an automatic subject”, “self-valorizing value”, “the subject of a process”, the “dominating subject”, “a self-moving substance”, “value in process, money in process” (PP. 255- 6). This means that men are not rigorously the subjects (in a plain ontological sense) of capitalist production but capital. Listening to this for the first time, 5 minutes in and I'm already in tears
Still waiting for Vol. 2 Even though this group is more then likely gone. Masterclass first album

Unlike plenty of commercial chart music these melodies.. they come straight out of their hearts
Been a fan since 2013. Man, time flies fast.
Mind blowing... I'm in heaven...
I’ve had to have been at least a thousand of these views. I love this album so much 🤍
This gives me peace.
this never gets old. so calming yet powerful. one of most beautiful albums ive heard
truly perfect album...if paradise were half as nice

Hah, omg, I remember that night. It truly was magical. I think I am going to make a proper sustained effort at keeping a journal.
Yes, fury of nature goes well with kind of songs. Beautiful.
I just wanted to make you something beautiful - and you did just that, IotB.

Absolutely haunting.

One of the greatest of post rock.
I will always dream of going to some beautiful city where you guys are playing and there is a sea behind you
I love this band
Awesome!
This is deep
I desire this on coloured vinyl! or at least a CD.. but they've nothing. very sad, so talented.

could you explain your words? it sound really interesting :)
@@unison_moody Any recommendations for the kind of speakers needed? I have to admit to a certain lack of knowledge when it comes to such things.
wonderful album
keep it aliveeeee!
Just the genre I like!
Great stuff, relatively short though...
Is this style called "post-rock" or ? Because I like it a lot and want to know :)
+Mario Navarro Kamonte Yes mate :)
+Worldhaspostrock If you like this, you should listen Yndi Halda too.
It is my favourite album !

@@worldhaspostrock what's a good album to start with ? Can you recommend anything similar to this will destroy you ?
Sadly these guys don't have a bandcamp site... :(
First song is essence for me what means to be lonely. Alone.

Don't they release any more albums? :(
1. Is this their only album?
2. Why can't I find it on CD ?
make more pls

yeah I see your point. but those notes so explicit to explain this emotion that I easily understand that thoses two bands use them

I really like this, esp. "I Just Wanted to Make You Something Beautiful," but why does all postrock sound the same
