This was my first Medal of Honor game and my first ever WW2 game. I was so young and naive at the time that I thought the first mission (D-Day) was a training mission; but that sparked a love of WW2 history that has lasted for well over a decade. It brings a tear to my eye to hear the theme for the game that will always live on in my heart as the best WW2 shooter I've ever played, and the spark that ignited a passion for history that will follow me until my final moment.
Wow, same here, except my first was MoH Rising Sun, then followed up by Vanguard. Spiked my interest in wars, weaponry, history and global politics. I'd say the old (Brilliant) Medal of Honour games did the same for quite a few people
I feel you, I listen and remember watching my brother play this. It brings tears to my eyes hearing the music that makes you think, people died in this war for honor, courage, freedom, and peace. MOH thank you for teaching us all true fans the truth.
I loved MoH Fronline and Rising Sun for the historical value... It taught me soo much about WWII My Grandfather, god bless his soul, who is 90 this year and still alive who fought on Omaha beach first wave 144th division of the US Army Infantry saw this terrifying war with his own eyes and he tells me stories all the time and I want to preserve them in a word document,, My grandfather saw me play MoH Frontline and he teared up hearing the theme song. He probably knew alot of good people who lost their lives stopping the Nazi war machine in WWII My Grandfather is a inspiration to me until I draw my last breath.... When my grandfather dies I want to play this at his funeral when they lay him to rest to honor a great man who survived the unthinkable to the day he died of normal reasons... (a memorial to my grandfather in case he dies this year or lives to 102 like my great grandfather did) Doyle Tatum, Papa, until I go to heaven and rejoin you; you will always inspire me and be the most influential person in my life. I will never forget your stories you told me. You are a true soldier and american. I will miss you soo much when you're gone. Every day I saw you was a blessing. you are a great man who looked death in the face and didnt fear for anything. You were a godly man and a great role model. God is going to reward you well in heaven for your service in the war and everything you did after. The family will miss you at reunions. It wont be the same with you gone. Thank you for your service in WWII you may be gone but your actions and words will never be forgotten.....
I teared up reading that. Jeez dude that is really cool. My grandfather, who will be 95 this year, is the same. Hero and major inspiration to me until the day i die. He also fought in the war, but with the British army and became a friend and guard to Winston Churchill
The old man part reminds me of an indiana jones film where random civilians try to help the main character in their own way. Come to think of it... even though Frontlines is set in the 1940s... I still have this nostalgic 1980's feel to it everytime I played that awesome game.
+Poindexter Gaming, Well... if you think about it, this is a soldier from the United States Army, the Marines were in the pacific, like Okinawa and Japan.
Now, the generations sit around listening to their grandpa's war stories. World war 2 vets are going golden with their age unfortunately. As did the Great War veterans.
And when he get's to heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: One more soldier reporting sir- I've served my time in hell. My first MOH game. My dad gave it to me, along with European Assault, Vanguard, and Rising Sun.
you had a fantastic Dad, my brother and i got the first Medal of Honor game for PS1, soon after we got MOH Underground, i've loved the Medal of Honor games and even the call of duty games if they had something to do with WWII, i'm sick of modern era/near-future crap. We need to bring back the good old days of WWII games, back when War games had Respect!
THATguyTOMO I also had the first medal of honour and in fact collected all the ones until they got bad. I remember those days with my dad and brother playing medal of honour 1 all day on sunday. and the multiplayer was the best there has been!
I played and finished this game with my father when I was a child. Nowadays we don't talk as much as we used to (although there is still love). It's not his fault, nor mine. It's the circumstances. Still, those memories remain. These are memories that will stay with me forever. The game's nighttime setting has always captivated me, and its music has always moved me since I was a child. In fact, the entire Medal Of Honor franchise is special to me. In addition to Frontline, Medal Of Honor Allied Assault is also close to my heart (as are all the other PS1 and PS2 MOH's). A salute to all my fellow fans of this franchise - which is the best when it comes to war games, in my opinion - and to history lovers! Medal Of Honor will be a classic forever!
I feel like im in WW2 listening to this, the hardship, the duty, the struggle, yet the romance, the hope and the glory are all captured in this amazing song, does anyone else feel the same way?
+spoons Me too. Remember when you went into the bar and spilled the glasses of beer and the level where you went around stealing top secret Nazi plan blueprints. Those were the days.
+TailsBit I think there are a lot of good games today. But the fps genre is over. Activision and EA don't care for the single player campaing anymore. Did you see how short was the campaing in Battlefield 1? I will never forget the ps2 era WWII games. Such a good time...
BillGunslinger, I hate to admit that you are right, but you are right. The single-player era is effectively over (unless you count Mario and Zelda). This game, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein will always have a special place in my heart because they take me back to the cold autumn/winter afternoons when I played these games. Hot chocolate, cozy sweatpants and socks, completed with hearing this music on my brother's PS2; such good times...
"Remember the fallen. Remember the strong and weak. Remember me". That was a good poem there. But seriously remember WW2, don't forget those who fought against evil.
As a WW2 Reenactor of the 82nd airborne I can relate to all others who said they got emotional upon hearing this. And actually this game is a big reason I got into reenacting. Getting set up and putting on the 1942 uniform with web gear and loading the Garand with blanks and hearing that ping.... all of it is amazing! I played that game learning a lot about history and in turn ended up helping keep their stories alive by my hobby!
To this day, this is the most epic World War 2 anthem there is. I remember the feeling I get when hearing this and thinking to myself how undeniably insane that war was. The game was incredible. The story line. The characters. The levels. You name it. Outstanding.
God this gives me goosebumps to hear. Still have this game back home on my GameCube. Currently enlisted in the Navy stationed in Virginia wishing I was back in Missouri on the river camping with my dad.
+Dope Dude this is literally the same for me, I have some of my fondest memories as young as 3 and 4 playing this game with my Dad. The nostalgia I get from this theme is too fucking much man :')
My dad and I could not beat that last level, the one with the bunker. We had to use cheatcodes to get past it in the end :l I was about 7 when I played this with my dad. MEMORIES HMMM
When I hear this song I think of a certain episode in the game, where you're on a mission somewhere in the Netherlands and there's a lot of windmills and yellow fields. I imagine a young pretty woman singing this song while I'm walking my way through the yellow fields alone. I hear this beautiful song in the midst of all terror war brings. Almost as in a fairy tale. When I hear this song I think of this and it always gets to me, because not only do I think of the game but also part of my childhood which is forever gone and only the memory remains.
hen I hear this song I think of this and it always gets to me, because not only do I think of the game but also part of my childhood which is forever gone and only the memory remains. I could not agree more.
Why can't most games be like this with the Classic WW2 Theme and nice soundtrack and not Dubstep or whatever. Like COD and MOH had really good soundtracks and themes which made you think you were in the world. It's sad to see these tracks go now, because they're money srcubs and the about the DLC packs. I hope one day they'll remaster these games and it would bring some fans back.
Chills. This game came out when I was 15 years old. The best Medal of Honor game period, peeked my interest in WW2 history. I had the time of my life playing this game with my friends, some no longer here. I miss those days, good times. Thanks for the upload friend.
Medal of Honor was a monument, yet EA let it be buried by the sands of time, only remembered by those who were there, and thank god there's a hell of a lot of us.
Well, there isn't much of a story, but then a story isn't always required for a game to be good, and sometimes it is best to not have a story. Story, afterall, should not be the only determining factor as to whether or not a game is good. The graphics were amazing for its time(Ride to Hell Retribution 1%, it looks like everyone has severe burns), the controls are intuitive so one doesn't have to spend five hours trying to remember which button jumps(Twisted Metal(who has reverse be a double-tap to the brake button?)), there are no dorky support-characters taking away precious gameplay(Metro 2033, stop it with the tour-guide aspect), and as already stated the soundtrack is amazing(any game made by LJN).
I cried like a little boy to this, i remember back then in 2006 i was just 7 years old and my dad gave a gift to me and my bigger brother, this gift was medal of honor frontline for ps2... i used to play this game with my brother all day long and heard this music hundred and hundred times... now i'm 23 and last year my dad passed away and now i cry listening to this, this song reminds me my father... God bless him... miss you dad, miss you more than ever, i want to turn back the time
The history and the war it was he's passion , i miss watching with him story documentary or anything else , miss you dady we dedicate to him this song my bruda . I miss those times when we was just child with our dady
I'm growing up in my dad's house and because he has a GameCube I have learned to respect old games and consoles. Because of this I bought for myself a PS2 with medal of honor rising sun and vanguard. I love the old games!!!! Also my dad owns frontline and European assault on GameCube and we have so much fun on that. I'm going to miss those days when I move out and as they say: You don't play, You volunteer
Fact: Did you know that there is only 10% of WW2 veterans still alive. Don't forget who fought and died for your freedom. God Bless the US service and are allies!
What? Germany was fighting for freedom, even though they invaded Czech-Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, and Norway, while allying a country that 3 years prior invaded Ethiopia, and another country that invaded China?
@@LinkoofHyrule Germany was Germany. They were not the Italians, nor Japanese. They banded together out of necessity, not ideology. Hitler did not want the war. Poland forced it on him. The Danzig corridor should have never been in the possession of the poles. It was German land. Look at the allies' own colonial holdings. Can you really say that they were saints? Can you really say that Germany was the only one fighting for total domination? Churchill, the cunt said that he was in favor of using gas on the Indian people should they rebel. Is that the voice of a man who wants liberty for all? You've been fed the victors' perspective. But that is not the entire truth. You will find in this world, few things that you think you know, are.
What about austria, czechs, denmark, norway and the rest of Poland where he deported or killed natives and replaced them with his own people. And the Churchill quote said that they should use a gas like tear gas as it would cause the least amount of casualties. You spend too much time on /pol/ and not enough time in the real world, mate.
@@LinkoofHyrule Lies mate. Austria was German. Czech was made from German and Slavic land. Denmark was aiding the allies and was in control of the straights that led into the Baltic sea. I slend very little time on /pol/ Yet another projection from a person who got all his facts and views straight from a textbook, written by people who won the war. Also it matters not what context Churchill wanted to use gas. He still said it. He still wanted to use gas to suppress the colonies.
This brings me back in time to my childhood, things were good. Got this game from my father and played it every day with him sometimes watching from the side. This game woke my interest in world war history and it will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks for the beautiful memories, love and miss you every day dad ❤️
The levels of nostalgia are painfully unreal. It's impossible to explain. What a beautiful stretch of audible masterpiece... damn I miss how the times where back when this was playing through my tv. Brings a tear to my eye every time.
AND WTF YOUR NAME IS NELSON!? My last name is Nelson! We aren't the same person though, I played this game on the original Xbox when it came out. My first shooter.
I listened to this yesterday on the anniversary of D day, there is a reason we call them the greatest generation. This song makes me think of how brave those soldiers were who were younger than me....risking everything for our freedom today.
I remember buying this game at Blockbuster if you know, you know. Not only was this a masterpiece game but it was played during times when cell phones didn't require 24 hours of use. These times were different, can't get that same feeling no more. This came out around 911 attacks I remember all the 911 ceremonies in middle school and high school so when I played the game I always felt like I was really fighting for all the people this one of the best games I ever experienced of all time.
The good old days when everything was still badass they don’t make them like that anymore too much weird shit going on these days , the good old days 👊🏽
Frontline and Rising Sun were such good games, I used to play them with my grandpa when I was a kid. Now that he's gone I really want to go back to these although it would be a strange feeling without him playing with me.
+Bubbles there was a story of a Nazi on RUclips from his perspective. He went through the same as our allies. He thought he was fighting for the right side. Can you blame him? Or are you too scared to blame authorities like most are?
Just like everyone else, this brings back so many memories. I remember I started on Moh 1999. My uncle got me hooked on gaming when I was six years old in 2000, my dad didn’t like it at first cause I got into video games but then after that he bought me a ps1 and ps2 of my own. I played all the Moh games and just thinking back on those memories I wish I could go back in time. Thanks for the upload of this piece.
Dude, imagine how wonderful would be if we could back in time and play again this beautiful game, I remember my father, here in Brazil, playing this with me and having so much fun during the missions, I wish I could go back to do it again.
"Good morning Lieutenant Patterson, it's a pleasure to see you again." Of all the games that I actually wanted to see a remaster/remake for was all the MoH games, my first shooters and first games ever.
Truer words have never been spoken. These songs remind me of all the brothers and sisters I lost in a present day war. I cant imagine how it must feel for WWII vets and those effected by such a large scale event.
I wouldn't say it is the best, but it is in my personal Top 20. You should check out the theme for Secret Weapons Over Normandy; Michael Giacchino wrote that theme as well.
This game was a masterpiece. It was every 12-year-old boy's dream game. The nostalgia hits hard when I hear this. You really do miss being a kid even in your 20's
My step grandfather now gone, used to watch me play cod1 and he would have such memories come back and stories and tears. It’s a feeling that reaches across generations passed to all my fellow players a big hug
This brings me back. Im 24 now. Me and my dad use to play this together back when he was alive. I wish i could go back and share these memories with him on that game cube.
I served 7 years, I am not happy at all with the state of the country and the many atrocities America has done over the years to many nations, but god damnit this track and these games always bring me back and remind me of those who truly died for our freedom and the pride we should have to be American. Hoping for a better time when America truly takes care of the world and acts like the symbol of justice. 🇺🇸
This song gives me chills throughout. I absolutely love this game to this day. This theme in my opinion is the best theme to ever come out of a war game ever. It's beautifully composed, and performed. So many good memories form this game, I'll never forget them.
Wow.....just on a huge nostalgia trip... I was 10 when this game came out and my parents bought it for me on PS2. Instantly fell in love. Helped me get through some tough times as a child. Just turned 27 a month ago.... Doing okay. Both parents dead now, but I'm surviving. Sry for the rant...... I'm beyond torched.......
back when FPS games had a story and were actually good. i miss those days. when the developers actually put effort into the game and you fall in love with the story and listen to their moving soundtracks just like this game.
Back when games were complete on launch day and there was no pay to play or mandatory internet connection required to enjoy gaming... And this soundtrack is chilling, in the best ways possible.
I'm going to miss CDs and DVDs, manuals.. the excitement of getting a game and you have no idea what the journey ahead of you is 90s and 2000s were the golden age of video games
My grandfather served in WW2 with the Navy. He passed away in 1997 and he would tell me stories during his tenure. Every time I hear this theme, I think about him all the time. RIP Seaman Harold Johnson, SR
I recently found an old copy of Frontline in my closet, its been hiding there for about 7 years now. As soon as I put the disc into my gamecube and heard those gunshots across the logo and this song I had to drift into my own little wonderland of childhood nostalgia. I don't know why I am on RUclips right now when I could be shooting up some Nazis.
I remember playing this game when I was six. It was the second video game I ever played. At that time this theme would send chills. The uneasy feeling of sorrow pumped up by hype... I spent so many hours on d-day trying to get as many of my fellow soldiers up to the seawall. I was too young to realize they weren't supposed to make it. Hearing the music brings back so many of those moments. So many emotions... all brought back by one beautiful song.
What happen to you EA? Such beautiful music, fun games, the times i would smile when i see the EA logo appeared. This song sound it selfs sounds like it should be an a academy award best picture movie

Wow, same here, except my first was MoH Rising Sun, then followed up by Vanguard. Spiked my interest in wars, weaponry, history and global politics. I'd say the old (Brilliant) Medal of Honour games did the same for quite a few people
Same Here, The First Medal Of Honor on my Console (Gamecube), but my first Moh was Allied Assault when i was 6, i got Frontline when i was 8
Mustafa Hosdil Allied Assault was Amazing from what I remember of it. Ohh thinking back to the days when you had to also borrow games from friends.
It taught me soo much about WWII
My Grandfather, god bless his soul, who is 90 this year and still alive who fought on Omaha beach first wave 144th division of the US Army Infantry saw this terrifying war with his own eyes and he tells me stories all the time and I want to preserve them in a word document,,
My grandfather saw me play MoH Frontline and he teared up hearing the theme song.
He probably knew alot of good people who lost their lives stopping the Nazi war machine in WWII
My Grandfather is a inspiration to me until I draw my last breath....
When my grandfather dies I want to play this at his funeral when they lay him to rest to honor a great man who survived the unthinkable to the day he died of normal reasons...
(a memorial to my grandfather in case he dies this year or lives to 102 like my great grandfather did)
Doyle Tatum, Papa, until I go to heaven and rejoin you; you will always inspire me and be the most influential person in my life.
MKStunting Productions THAT IS AWESOME. Respect bro.
I teared up reading that. Jeez dude that is really cool. My grandfather, who will be 95 this year, is the same. Hero and major inspiration to me until the day i die. He also fought in the war, but with the British army and became a friend and guard to Winston Churchill
MKStunting Productions I cried so hard reading that..
That made me tear up. Right in the feels.
if hes still alive... show him this
ruclips.net/video/XTbrotEVw1Q/видео.html
Who else remembers the old man with the shotgun?
Lol tried saving him multiple times
Hector Aguirre same here.. :D
I tried to save that poor paratrooper who landed on the windmill...he died in my arms...and I have to live with...JOHNY!!!!!!!!
The old man part reminds me of an indiana jones film where random civilians try to help the main character in their own way.
Come to think of it... even though Frontlines is set in the 1940s... I still have this nostalgic 1980's feel to it everytime I played that awesome game.
I always hated that one guy in the mission with the Nazi Mansion who would blow your disguise by saying "Youre not Fredrich!!"
best Picture to a game. A Standard soldier in a Beach storming. The music. Sad and great
MARINE not soldier :)
+Poindexter Gaming, Well... if you think about it, this is a soldier from the United States Army, the Marines were in the pacific, like Okinawa and Japan.
+GFC Reaper I stand corrected the USMC were on Iwo jima on d day :)
+Poindexter Gaming just making sure you weren't one of THOSE people
+GFC Reaper what do you mean by that? o.O
WW2 games soundtracks are awesome:)
George V Jr lmao that didn't sound like u really wanna b his friend.
Hao Luong of course they’re awesome. They have heart put into them
My grandpa served in WW2 he passed 7 years ago and I miss him everyday. Thank you to him and all the lives lost. Rip
I wouldn't play this game again, because I'm pretty sure that I will cry...
why not try medal of honor airborne
Random Whiterun Guard how about medal of honor vanguard
@@gamerreactor454 how about... this
ruclips.net/video/XTbrotEVw1Q/видео.html
derp
I won't play any other old medal of honor cuz i will not be able to stay 2 mins in the menu without being a tearjerker
It's sad that I was probably one of the last generations that got to sit around and listen to grandpa's war stories.
Now, the generations sit around listening to their grandpa's war stories. World war 2 vets are going golden with their age unfortunately. As did the Great War veterans.
I had a Grandpa who was in the Army Air Force during the war, but he died when I was very young, so I didn't know he served until after the fact.
My grandpa was a core man and fought on Iwo Jima, he didn't fight he just help treat wounds on the transport boats.
not really, my grandpa was in the navy
Man all I got was a Vietnam vet who intered the war as a captain and the closest he got to combat was a mortar that hit about 500 yards away from him
Nostalgia
SS; ..)
uno de los mejores juegos de ps2
Only one word van describe this game, nostalgia.
você já jogou Medal of Honor?
Fala não mano, já se passaram sei lá uns 10 12 anos e lembro como se fosse ontem
It feels... empty. The feeling of when a show ends. Or a book ends. It’s nostalgic as hell to listen to this.
Like looking upon a battlefield of endless bodies but you being the sole survivor
"And when he gets to heaven,
to Saint Peter he will tell:
Just another soldier reporting, sir.
I've served my time in hell."
And when he get's to heaven,
to Saint Peter he will tell:
One more soldier reporting sir-
I've served my time in hell.
I remember those days in my head, playing medal of honour with my dad and my brother. Those times were the best i have had
THATguyTOMO I also had the first medal of honour and in fact collected all the ones until they got bad. I remember those days with my dad and brother playing medal of honour 1 all day on sunday. and the multiplayer was the best there has been!
THATguyTOMO I Agree!
Alex Beamiss I know that feeling of just sitting around playing a good MOH
Michael Giacchino is a genius , this is so well composed , utterly magnificent
4:11 is just so good. That trumpet.. the memories...
i like the way it rises from 4:15
+HandsomeJosh gives me the chills everytime
Makes me tear up how World War II was and how many Us soldiers fought for us.
Jernulf Yeah 4:15 is my favorite part.
GOD SO MANY MEMORIES WITH THIS GAME/SONG. MY DAD WAS ALIVE.. I WAS A KID. HAPPIER TIMES. GOD I MISS BEING A KID.
It's rare that a soundtrack to a game can give me chills, but I got them feel chills right now.
Same here!
If you think this gives you the chills you should listen to the medal of honor european assault theme :)
I did and thats awesome too! I had that game
One of the greatest video game scores in history.
i can't help but think about all the death, destruction and sorrow that came with this war, this song does a good job to remind us that.
I feel like im in WW2 listening to this, the hardship, the duty, the struggle, yet the romance, the hope and the glory are all captured in this amazing song, does anyone else feel the same way?
i almost teared up listening to this, this was my childhood....countless hours on this game
+spoons Me too. Remember when you went into the bar and spilled the glasses of beer and the level where you went around stealing top secret Nazi plan blueprints. Those were the days.
Same here man
This theme....always hearing this and crying at the same time, amazing games, not like nowadays.
You're right.
Rodrigo Lopez agreed. Games like this and Freedom Fighters had amazing moving soundtracks!
Not even MW2, can compare to how beautiful Medal of Honor was.
Medal of Honor...a tear is shed for the death, but there's hope of rebirth!
***** I wish, most likely EA will try to rehash another cod clone in a year or two.
***** That would be kinda boring..
Bob John Or how about doing the most epic thing and releasing the sequel to MoH: Rising Sun? I'm still waiting to finish that fight.
bakathirteen Oh heck yeah but with controls that make sense this time. :D
***** meh be nice maybe 1 or 2 times
As a WW2 Reenactor of the 82nd airborne I can relate to all others who said they got emotional upon hearing this. And actually this game is a big reason I got into reenacting. Getting set up and putting on the 1942 uniform with web gear and loading the Garand with blanks and hearing that ping.... all of it is amazing! I played that game learning a lot about history and in turn ended up helping keep their stories alive by my hobby!
Evan Anastas Member of the 5th SS "Wiking" here. I'll see you on the battlefield. Even if we are on opposite sides.
Evan Anastas Why the 82nd? Screaming Eagles all the way!
Too bad that ping is something you don't want to hear in combat!
I'm putting together my M42 82nd Airborne uniform too ^^ !
To this day, this is the most epic World War 2 anthem there is. I remember the feeling I get when hearing this and thinking to myself how undeniably insane that war was. The game was incredible. The story line. The characters. The levels. You name it. Outstanding.
It's good. I like this theme from Pathway to Glory: Ikusa Islands on Nokia Ngage: ruclips.net/video/SlmFKiJ7MZg/видео.html&ab_channel=Roushimsx
Not to forget there is no difficulty levels, its only veteran level 💪
Man this theme song is just amazing
nostalgia...
Velhos tempos no ps2
muito épico a esperiencia de zerar esse jogo...
VC lembra daquela fase do bar onde VC se disfarçava de nazista daí depois começava uma pancadaria de bêbados?
+Mr. Thiago Alexandre Santos Experiência. E sim, muito legal, mesmo.
+John Highway Well if it isn't you again :P
Definitely.
Golden Lion, melhor fase
God this gives me goosebumps to hear. Still have this game back home on my GameCube. Currently enlisted in the Navy stationed in Virginia wishing I was back in Missouri on the river camping with my dad.
Patterson !
Excellent work , we're sending you on a special mission.
***** I'd like more missions to have been like the D-Day one too, with a squad
***** Any Medal of Honor game set in WW2 was better than anything Call of Duty gave.
***** Yeah i have always wanted that
I remember my dad and I playing this game. Those were the days.
+Dope
I remember setting my dad up with the cheat codes so he could beat each level
+Dope Dude this is literally the same for me, I have some of my fondest memories as young as 3 and 4 playing this game with my Dad. The nostalgia I get from this theme is too fucking much man :')
+Dope Haha, yeah me too! Was such a great game!
My dad and I could not beat that last level, the one with the bunker. We had to use cheatcodes to get past it in the end :l I was about 7 when I played this with my dad. MEMORIES HMMM
I remember playing this game as a kid in third grade, I’ll never forget this song
Dude, same
When I hear this song I think of a certain episode in the game, where you're on a mission somewhere in the Netherlands and there's a lot of windmills and yellow fields.
***** Ahh you ruined the ambience :]
***** Yeah.. fuck u :( :(
war is hell
hen I hear this song I think of this and it always gets to me, because not only do I think of the game but also part of my childhood which is forever gone and only the memory remains.
I could not agree more.
GigsinGlasgow why don't you just turn your ps2 on and play it that's what im going to do when I get home from school.
I agree
Hipo tard THANKS YOU FUCKING SHIT
CherryFrostSoul lol.
I agree
whatayaDO543 No I just don't like cod or Battlefield.
This, along with Halo CE were the first two FPS games I played.
This game felt so immersive and authentic.
Very very leggend
this song makes me so emotional
This songs makes me feel back my Army years. And also to remember World War II veterans. They were the bravest soldiers. Thank you for that sacrifice!
This may be the best FPS to ever come out. The soundtrack is beautiful, the story is compelling, and it was way ahead of its time.
Marcus Gomez Really? Wait, is Audie Murphy still alive or dead?
Out of all the games I have played this theme has always stuck with me. Not the whole song, but mainly the beginning.
DUDE SAME
This brings me back in time to my childhood, things were good.
I was six when this game came out reminds me of more simpler times when it came to games. Had it for GameCube.
Me too, probably one of the first fps games I ever played. I'm surprised to see how many people had it for PS2 and not good ol' GameCube
Wait no I wasn't six when it came out lol, I meant me too as in that I also had it for GameCube ;P
And....I just did the math lol, I WAS six when it came out too although I ended up playing later on
ODST Nelson I was also six, this is kinda weird. Born in '96.
AND WTF YOUR NAME IS NELSON!? My last name is Nelson! We aren't the same person though, I played this game on the original Xbox when it came out. My first shooter.
I was young when this came out but for some reason this theme stuck with me
i remember missions from other moh like pearl harbor...uss california...sgt tanaka...
Tristepan Parsifal Pear harbor... pearl* and i think it was uss california???
sorry...my memory isn't good ^^''
No problem i still play these games that is probably why i know still...
i can't play them anymore...R.I.P. PS2 ç_ç
I listened to this yesterday on the anniversary of D day, there is a reason we call them the greatest generation. This song makes me think of how brave those soldiers were who were younger than me....risking everything for our freedom today.
Oh.. my childhood. I cried a little bit. I hope that one day Medal of Honor will return, with WW2.
That kid sung his heart out for the trumpet to only hit me in my feels
I remember buying this game at Blockbuster if you know, you know. Not only was this a masterpiece game but it was played during times when cell phones didn't require 24 hours of use. These times were different, can't get that same feeling no more. This came out around 911 attacks I remember all the 911 ceremonies in middle school and high school so when I played the game I always felt like I was really fighting for all the people this one of the best games I ever experienced of all time.
Dopamine Rat I can empathize with this 100% :( The nostalgia from this is just too much
The good old days when everything was still badass they don’t make them like that anymore too much weird shit going on these days , the good old days 👊🏽
Frontline and Rising Sun were such good games, I used to play them with my grandpa when I was a kid. Now that he's gone I really want to go back to these although it would be a strange feeling without him playing with me.
This was the song that got me into playing trumpet as a kid. I don't play anymore but hearing that trumpet now brings back so many memories.
My childhood! Makes you think about those who went through hell and back, no matter what side they were on! 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇨🇦🇫🇷🇷🇺🇦🇺🇯🇵🇩🇪
*Fuck Nazies, *Fuck Hiroshito. Otherwise quite fine.
+Bubbles there was a story of a Nazi on RUclips from his perspective. He went through the same as our allies. He thought he was fighting for the right side. Can you blame him? Or are you too scared to blame authorities like most are?
Not scared of anything. Fuck the Nazzies.
Let's not forget about China.
[insert Chinese flag emoticon here]
Finland!
"Good morning Lieutenant Patterson, it's a pleasure to see you again."
Of all the games that I actually wanted to see a remaster/remake for was all the MoH games, my first shooters and first games ever.
They played this at a video games live concert about 10 yrs ago and it was absolutely amazing
Literally the best game soundtrack ever hands down 💯💯
Truer words have never been spoken.
Doggystyle was way better doh.
Man this hits home so long ago I was like 8 or 10 years old when I played this game thank you for uploading it
Me too bro. This game is life and nostalgia
Same man its so underrated. Ps3 did a remastered version . Theres still a chance of playing it .
We were so spoiled having MOHAA and Frontline coming out practically next to each other! Pure bliss!
Gah I was so young when I got this game... I played this game so much, it was truly a great game...
this really makes me think for every single solider out there
R.I.P
back when FPS games had a story and were actually good. i miss those days. when the developers actually put effort into the game and you fall in love with the story and listen to their moving soundtracks just like this game.
Back when games were complete on launch day and there was no pay to play or mandatory internet connection required to enjoy gaming... And this soundtrack is chilling, in the best ways possible.
I'm going to miss CDs and DVDs, manuals.. the excitement of getting a game and you have no idea what the journey ahead of you is
90s and 2000s were the golden age of video games
My grandfather served in WW2 with the Navy. He passed away in 1997 and he would tell me stories during his tenure. Every time I hear this theme, I think about him all the time. RIP Seaman Harold Johnson, SR
Listening to this song honestly brings me back to simpler times
I recently found an old copy of Frontline in my closet, its been hiding there for about 7 years now. As soon as I put the disc into my gamecube and heard those gunshots across the logo and this song I had to drift into my own little wonderland of childhood nostalgia. I don't know why I am on RUclips right now when I could be shooting up some Nazis.
This is the best Medal of Honor hands down
I remember playing this game when I was six.
So many many memories... I hear this and I can still remember those days like it was yesterday. 😢😢😢
Back when FPS games have souls...
0:47 - 1:05 that part will stick with me forever. Something about the music
What happen to you EA? Such beautiful music, fun games, the times i would smile when i see the EA logo appeared. This song sound it selfs sounds like it should be an a academy award best picture movie
Frontline was one of the first games I ever played on my Xbox. I remember struggling to past the 1st level D-day. I was 9 back then. I am now 28.
This music gives me chills and gosse bumps hade me up all night when I was a kid I used to get popcorn hot Cheetos and sodas and stay up late playing this
Jimmy Patterson .
Beautiful. Man I remember when I was a kid and I would watch my older brother play this game. I miss that.
One of my favorite games of all time and one that brings back amazing memories of sleep overs playing split screen multiplayer together ❤ this game was and always will be a masterpiece
When game devs and publishers allowed the music department to pour their heart and souls into soundtracks.
I'm still freaking out everytime that damn drum hits in the very beginning... The feels, man.......
