    I saw Michelle from Lab Muffin Beauty Science do a video about the issue and she got labelled on one of those studies as a "propaganda source" which I found insulting as well as hilarious in sarcastically way. It is wonderful that Dr. Dray also talked about the issue. These two wonderful women offer such great information and I am glad to have found them before getting into the fearmongering.

      I had to chuckle and reaffirm myself that the paper was a joke by saying lab muffin is a propaganda source and a blog site as reference is a no no for published works, as much as lab muffin puts out good info.

    The fact that this article went through the whole scientific peer-review process and got published in a specialised journal is for me the main cause of concern. If this study is so inaccurate, cherry-picking its data, why was it not detected, corrected, or dismissed from publication? Had that been the case, none of this aftermath would have happened.

    Dear Dr.Dray, you have helped me so much over the last years to solve so many skincare problems. Both on my body and face. You have helped me save so much money by guiding me to effective products. You have saved me huge amounts of time testing this and that latest miracle ingredient or researching harmful ones. You have educated me to help me get the best from my doctor visits. But - MOST OF ALL- you have given me the enormous gift of PEACE OF MIND and reminded me there are good sincere and honest people willing to put their heads over the parapet for us. I was suffering from all this conflicting false advertising and FEAR and felt used like a pawn by the industry, lost, confused and angry. Thanks for taking me off that merry go round. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Siobhan. (From Ireland - you have fans here too.)

    Exactly, cannot agree more!
    As we say in pharmacology, and you most certainly often refer to this very underlying pillar of medicine and/or therapeutics. which is _dosis sola facit venenum_ .
    This means, "only the dose makes the poison", which in turn refers to the very fact that every chemical could be a poison provided that it was eaten, drunk or absorbed in excess.
    I just love and appreciate that you are taking time in informing people and demystifying these things in a jargon-free way for a better comprehension! And for what its worth, many thanks for this! 😊😊😊

    I'm always getting prop 65 warnings about cancer when I order things in California. Things like bone meal and pumpkin seeds. It's very confusing.

    • @db-gb5xi
      @db-gb5xi 3 года назад

      We're special in California like that, lol. I know I've seen prop 65 warnings on jewelry sites depending on how the jewelry was made/ingredients it might contain. And I want to say at one point there was a brand of potato chips I liked but disappeared from stores in California. Come to find out it was due to prop 65. I guess eventually the brand was able to start selling in the state again but I don't think a couple of the products are as good as they used to be (could be my imagine though).

    I have no idea how doable this idea might be, but I would be interested in seeing you review studies/papers/research making inflammatory claims about ingredients to see how to interpret the data. Maybe it’s not doable because maybe the average subscriber (myself included) doesn’t have enough foundational knowledge to be able to understand how you break things down. But if I could learn how to read through that sort of information and be able to pick out where they might be being inflammatory, that would be sweet. Just a thought! I appreciate all your videos and work you put in to educate us. My skin and my wallet are grateful for your content. Thank you!
