    Remarkably clear and well shot video! I'm a recently retired Delta captain. I flew the 75/76 as a first officer for almost 8 years. I then went to the 737 for my first captain assignment. I pulled out my logbook and saw I flew this very bird from SAN-ATL about 20 years ago. It was fairly new and wasn't yet sporting the winglets. BTW- I recently visited Madrid and decided to video the takeoff going home. I watched the 1st half before I deleted it; I earned a lot more respect for those who make great videos!

      That's awesome my friend. Man, I wish we had cameras like we have today, back then. What I'd give to be able to have that flight you flew 20 years ago on the channel in 4K! Alas, a Motorola RAZOR was the best selling phone then, and it's safe to say it's camera could barely take clear photos, let along string thousands of clear photos together to make a good video haha. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate all of that. I get a lot of comments from people who think I just fly on random flights and stick a camera in the window. They don't realize the amount of planning, and work goes into creating these high quality videos. I'd never say it was "hard," but I put a lot into these videos and this channel to only put out super high quality content. There's a lot more that goes into it than "just booking a ticket and sticking the camera in the window." So, I appreciate it when someone realizes that and acknowledges it. Thanks for watching!

    The Opera browser just upgraded to Version 95 and they added a new feature called Lucid Mode where when you turn it on, it'll enhance the quality of whatever video you're playing and whatever still image you're looking at.
    Wow! Your videos comes out even better now! You can see a lot more fine details. Yes, when you watch this in 4K, it comes out even better now. It's like watching a UHD movie, but even better.
    This takes me back to my teen years living in NY back in the 1970s. Good view of LGA. Great views of Jamaica Bay. Good view of the A Train line. I was at JFK back in September 1971 with my mom. We watched my sister get on a 747 going to London to spend a year living with her grandmother. I commented to my mom that I wished that I could see what it's like inside a 747 as they were brand new planes back then. Just then, my dream had come true. The get agent said "Hi, come with me. I'll give you a quick tour." Wow! He did just that. I saw my sister sitting in her seat and I said "Have a safe flight" and then, he took be back out to the gate.
    Jeez! That plane was HUGE!!

      I am going to guess back then, they allowed people without tickets to go the gates. Must be why television still portrays airports like that.

    Beautiful approach, rare instance of them using those runways. But, I gotta say, as a pilot, I had to rewatch that landing a couple times. Buttery smooth, 10/10!

    • @SYDAirlineEnthusiast
      @SYDAirlineEnthusiast Год назад

      As a New York City resident, I disagree. Runway 31R is used a lot for landing along with Runway 31L sometimes as well, though only Runway 31L is used for departures. Sometimes, Runway 31L is used as a crosswind takeoff runway when Runway 4L and Runway 22R are not enough to handle all of the departures. Frankly, jfk, it is common to come in from all four directions.

    • @condor7964
      @condor7964 Год назад

      @@SYDAirlineEnthusiast Yes, I'm sure that's true but I just meant it in comparison to how much they use their other runways, primarily 4's and 22's.

    • @SYDAirlineEnthusiast
      @SYDAirlineEnthusiast Год назад

      @@condor7964 for landing, I suppose that could be true as sometimes Runway 22L is used as a crosswind landing runway when Runway 13L is not sufficient enough to handle all landings as Runway 13R is never used for landings anymore. For takeoff, probably not as Runway 31L is used as a crosswind departure runway when Runway 4L or Runway 22R are not rough to handle all departures as sometimes they are used for sidestep landings when Runway 4R and Runway 22L have too many landings.

    You should report that the plane you were on might have a mechanical issue. After you land, you can hear a jackscrew trying to do work, which it shouldn't be doing. Flaps, spoilers and speed brakes are fully deployed. That sound should not be heard on landing when the airfoils are not intended to be moving.

    You have to stop using the word "stunning"!!! Please! 😉

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Год назад +2

      What’s wrong with the word stunning? I feel like it accurately describes a lot of videos and here’s the kicker. It’s two characters shorter than beautiful, which is a lot when you only get 100 total. 😂

    • @jaypek43-Phil
      @jaypek43-Phil Год назад

      How about..."cool"..."neat"..."nice"..."epic"..."great"..."must"..."rad"..."wild"?

    • @sla31
      @sla31  Год назад +1

      All potential adjectives that would save characters. But I can see the hate comments now if I were to call a landing or takeoff “wild,” and it was in fact just a normal takeoff or landing 😂. See, my videos are all about high picture quality and being as pure as possible. And often times the adjective in the title is describing the overall presentation, including the phase of flight, scenery, weather and everything being showcased together, not necessarily that the takeoff or landing is particularly specialty. I feel like my go-to adjectives like stunning, awesome, beautiful, gorgeous, and amazing help reflect that. I feel like ones like cool, neat, and nice don’t project the same presence, if that makes sense.
