TODAY IS MY 24TH BIRTHDAY!
Since its been raining all day and I couldn't think of doing anything better I thought it would be nice to present myself with a new review. Since I'm not selfish I also share it with you ;)
I had really great flights aboard SAS, their new business class is among the best I ever experienced! In my opinion, this is the best among the european carriers! I loved pretty much everything about their service, the seat, the bathroom window, how friendly the FA's were and so on. Great product SAS! Also, Hong Kong is one awesome city! I totally fell in love with HK and will be back soon!
About my SAS experience:
-the lounge: the SAS lounge in Stockholm is pretty new. Its a lovely decorated lounge, though it reminds me a bit of the IKEA interiors. There are plenty seating possibilities, work stations, arm chairs and so on. The food choice was pretty poor. Only carrot sticks and salad leafs, potato salad, crackers and soup. I was there 5 hours and nothing has changed much, no main meals were served or something like that. However its a decent lounge!
-the seat: the new business class seat is awesome! very wide, comfortable, big screen, very sensitive touchscreen, much privacy etc. I love the layout, every pax has direct aisle access. There is good stowage, power and usb sockets. The seat goes fully lie flat, and for better sleep comfort they also have a very thin blanked like mattress you sleep on. Very comfortable! Total awesomeness!
-the service: The crew was doing an outstanding job! I was feeling welcome all flight long, they were very friendly and open towards me recording everything. Always in the mood for a quick chat. They also cared about you, this is so important IMO. The food was delicious too, enjoyed it very much and there was plenty of it. Also the choices you were given are good. I like how they serve you from the trolley, makes you feel like you're sitting in a real restaurant!
-the ife: the ife was good too. I loved the huge screen, the perfect working touchscreen and the different kinds of things you can do. A little disappointment was the amount of movies and shows, there could have been more. And half of the selection were scandinavian. But I managed not to get bored at any time :) They also have games, music and a very nice inflight map!
So this is what I think of the new SAS cabin. Once again, I totally love this product!

I really got into this video making thing, I have so much positive feedback and many people loving my videos. I decided to upload new reviews weekly. Every friday there will be a new vlog, review or something like that! This is not a promise, I still have a life beside youtube and I might be not able to upload one on every friday. Fantastic flight review! Enjoyed a lot! SAS really stepped up their game in terms of inflight service with their new cabin and aircrafts. Flying to Hong Kong myself in October, I am very excited. Also flying with SAS, I'm economy tho, so I am looking forward to see that vlog from Hong Kong :)

Excellent review, amandeuce. I really enjoyed it. It looks like a spectacular product, and it's great that it is *A, so you can get credit on Miles & More. I think this is comparable with the top business class products around the world. Their old angled lie-flat seats were not up to par, so this is a vast improvement. Was that circuitous route that they took over China because of weather or because of certain no-fly zones that China imposes? I am looking forward to your Hong Kong flight. Did you go for vacation or for work? Great video!
thank you very much jacob! great comment. yes you even get 150% on miles and more, thats another reason I booked with SAS, turkish for example gets you only 25% of miles for the same price. yes they avoided heavy thunderstorms over china thats why we flew that route. always for vacation :)

I noticed you said you order everything whether you want it or not because “it’s all thrown away after the flight.”You also said you had an amazing crew which really made your flight. In reality your crew does get food but it’s generally lower quality. As a way of saying thanks for great service, I generally order only as much as I will actually eat. That way those outstanding SAS flight attendants can enjoy a well earned treat. Cheers

Great video and happy birthday! I wish SAS hadn't canceled their Seattle flight, it was such a convenient Europe connection, and a Star Alliance airline other than Lufthansa. The product you had was better than the stuff on the old A340s we got though. I kinda like the new format, of shorter vlog style for the short legs and true trip reports for the longer ones. I like LH, but SAS has far more reasonable prices. Then again, Lufthansa has a 747.

love the SAS lounge at Årlanda. the design and furnishings are superb. and when I was there, they had commendable food options. perhaps you were there in the dead zone between breakfast and lunch service? great video, as always!

Nice review. Looks like a totally awesome product. I was on the very same flight in May 2017. However in Y+. Btw. EY has windows on their A330 Economy Class lavatories.

Excellent Loris...and you teasted all your many thousands of AV geek female Swiss Money Man fans with a mirror shot at the end 😂😂😂😉. I thought the new seats looked absolutely fantastic. Did you fly this cabin home as well? The bathroom looked like one for the best on board bathrooms I've ever seen in a business class cabin. Food looked really tasty. All together a wonderfully done TR.

This is an outstanding flight vlog. The details were not overdone. I liked the way you broke up the menu by course and immediately showed the food. btw, I chose exactly what you did although you got to eat it. Please tell us what new device you used to shoot the clouds etc. I loved the way the pictures bent so you could see things coming and going. This as the best flight vlog that I have seen for ages.
