Thank you Brother! I am here in my farm in SC with the same issue. Is good to see someone doing before I attempt it. God bless!

I haven't done a up date yet but it didn't hold, so now I have to figure something else out

I had the problem with my small echo2511tes, I cut a 1mm slither of plastic from the body of the saw where the dog would bolt to, and put the plastic slither inside the stripped hole, then take the stud out of the fire after it’s nice a hot and screw it back in place, the hot tread melts the slither back into the threads and body of the saw, it cool rather quickly locking the stud in place, worked a treat.

I'll have to try that. My way didn't hold....

@@PaffordHomestead when I tightened the 13 mm nut that holds the bar it tightened perfect, where as before I could feel the stud being pulled out, I am sure the plastic is ABS which is common in my field of panelbeating, if the temp of the stud is hot enough to melt its way in with out blowing smoke, it should hold great, good luck.

Be better to double nut the stud next vs.tearing it up with vise grips. Good repair, hope it's still holding!

I went the helix coil route and I feel more comfortable with it rather than the jb weld repair!

I can see it is a Echo CS-310, label briefly seen at 20:01. Put the Playback Speed to 0.25 just before then and you can catch it.
I have the exact same model and mine stripped out also when I over torqued the wrench.

Well what I did didn't fix it back to the drawing board 🤔

I used a thicker lag bolt, cut off the stud in half removing the part that goes in the case, then welded a piece of the lag bolt and set in place with epoxy.

I think it’s a design flaw to be installed in plastic, I have the exact same saw with the same problem with the same stud. Let me know how long it stays together and good luck guy.

I had the exact same thing happen to my old cheap blue max chainsaw. Front stud striped out. I used it quite a bit. So far, J.B is working. Blue max is a pretty good saw for price. Motor is excellent, however it small things like the stud striping out that drives me crazy. Blue max parts wear out quickly. Thanks for the video. Please keep us a updated on your experience with JB weld.
    Thanks
