Duel of Legacy is the story of the battle between the next Formula 1 champion generation drivers: Charles Leclerc vs Max Verstappen. These two young Formula 1 drivers are fighting on track since they were kids in karting. Now the battle for the Formula 1 throne in the coming years is on their hands. Discover the origin of this battle, during the 2019 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix. The second round during the 2019 British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the best moments and highlights of Leclerc and Verstappen in the first season in Formula 1 when they started to fight each other for wins and podiums. The story follows the wire until this season, 2022. Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc will fight, for the first time ever, between them for the maximum achievement: The Formula 1 drivers championship trophy.

You can clearly see the potential and talent in Charles, but there comes Max and shows you how it's done
Leclerc needs more race experience, consistency and Max has become a nurtured prodigy through his F1 years.
max was always a prodigy
I don’t think that Leclerc has a lack of race experience
I mean overall he is racing for probably 10-15 years
And even in F1 he was in every position had battles in front in the midfield and even as a backmarker
The main problem for Charles is that the Ferrari isn’t as good in the race as the Red Bull, in terms of tire and energy management
leclerc doesnt need more experience. he needs a new team

I started watching F1 in 2020, I wish I would've founded about it much earlier to witness these amazing battles! As a huge Max fan, I hope Charles is able to compete with Max like this in the future! Max is in a league of his own but Charles is definitely the closest to Max on the grid skills wise.
Ah Floz, you understand that f1 has so many narratives and are able to show them so clearly. I just love it!
Charles has better qualifying pace and is a better defensive driver. Max has better race pace due to his consistency and is more comfortable attacking. Very equal in ability.
I think Max is an equally good defensive driver
Qualifying pace doesn't give you certain points on Sundays, only track position. Race pace is the most important, because it can lead to getting victories without pole positions.
@@beanmr1273 Yeah Canadian GP 2022 clearly showed that. Defended the lead against Sainz in a faster Ferrari on fresher hard tires. I just think Leclerc is slightly better at defending than Verstappen.
Also Max is on different level to Charles in wet conditions
@@vineethpinto903 Yeah agreed. Max is a more versatile driver than Charles at the moment. But Max also has more F1 experience than Charles. Fascinating rivalry.

It'll probably be Lando tbh. Lando has options and McLaren are good at making recoveries, Mercedes have fallen for 3 years in a row now, and dont look like theyll get any better anytime soon.

Charles is a generational talent, but Max is another level.
Very true.. BUT I also think that Ferrari has a weaker tactics team than Red Bull.

Except in qualifying
Max had a great team to nurture him while leclerc has been growing himself while being in a red circus. We may not realize it now but i think we have our messi and ronaldo of F1

I think it's good for Max to be besting Charles rn because Max has a killer instinct that Charles needs to develop.
It still amazes me that Max and Charles battled wheel to wheel for half the race at silverstone without one incident.. fast forward to 2021 with Lewis and it took one lap before Max ended up in a wall at 56 G’s

Well, this is just a 3 seconds take from a 10 minutes long video where I am explaining what it means this rivalry between Max and Charles. The explanation is longer and I am not saying that exactly.

more than vettel yes he can but the other too is too dificult and depends on the car he is going to have in the future years
Silverstone 2019 was the best fight in the hybrid era so far. And it also proved to anyone that doubted it, how skillful both Charles and max are. In my opinion they are equal. Charles is a bit faster in race pace and quali, but he makes more mistakes and max is consistent and almost as fast. If Ferrari sorts themselves out, the duel is gonna be fire
When it comes to race pace and race craft, I think max has an upper hand over charles..

Charles is not faster in race pace. He has never won a race from outside P1. Max has won 11 races with a non pole car.

Max never moved under breaking, Vettel got his braking marker wrong. He apologised to Max after the race.

As we've seen in 2022 as a whole, Leclerc is no match for the record breaking Verstappen.
Think its more to do with Ferrari’s strategy than anything else. They were just a mess

Charles is more talented, he drives a lot like a young Lewis better at qualifying. Max is great, more aggressive but Charles is wittier. Put Charles in a RB and he’s beating max
