Very practical and honest video Sir. I was in the same situation a year back when I scored a rank of 7k but I was not getting my dream branch. Took the leap of faith of dropping a year and scored 775 rank this year.
Leap of faith is the first step, the other steps like planning , executing, and fighting are equally important ! And you did all that to get where you are today ! Wish you the best 💙🐢

I got 22k which was not my best sir. I prepared properly for April NEET. After postponement, i was totally not in form. Literally didn't touch book for 3 months sir. Family members were affected by covid and I can't handle studies along with it. My family insisted me to take non clinicals but my dream branch was internal medicine. So i convinced them for another attempt. But you cleared all confusions about my decision sir❤️
@Mohit yeah bro! Im preparing again. I don't even get DNB intenral med! Im not okay with private colleges. So the only option is to go with another attempt.

@Mohit boys. Let me be of some help. I have written NEET 4 times. Didn't qualify during internship (too much work). Then on I didn't prepare well in 19. In 2020 the exam completely caught me off guard. Got 21k. Was planning on taking Anaesthesia in a private college/DNB but my mind wasn't ready to give up on my dream of GM. My confidence was in the gutter, but i somehow convinced my parents that I have to move out, took up studying again and ended up with a rank less than 6k. I am telling you this, cause its possible. Don't give up without trying, cause you didn't try hard enough. Go for it again.

It is definitely worth it to drop a year for preperation after your maiden neet. I scored 44607 rank last year. I dropped a year (and a half! Thanks covid 😒😒😒😒) and took my first proper prepared NEET. After so many nights of agony and sleeplessness, after so many postponements... I made it to AIR 1237 this year. Chest up and chin up ya'all. Make it count!!

This was my first serious attempt. I am from 2014 batch and didn't even sit for my internship year. This time the rank was average. I always wanted ortho. But not possible this time. Everyone told me to take whatever I am getting but when I imagine myself being anything else apart from ortho resident things don't fall into place. I was very much confused. But after seeing this video I am sure what I need to do. Thank you so much sir. This is going to be tough for me cause all of my batchmates are residents and it's even a possibility that I might have to work under my juniors someday. But all that is beautiful if we get to do what we love. All my fellow colleagues keep strong, we shall all get there!! Sir please keep us guiding. Me too 2K14 batch bro and my dream branch was General medicine. Definitely i won't get for my rank. Most of my colleagues would take seat this year. But its okay, i convinced myself success is delaying and i will reach it soon if i work hard. All the best for you!

@@dr5640 yes, many including me are disheartened by this huge difference pertaining to the confusion if we have made lot of mistakes(which is not according to our recalls and got a good score) or there's some fault on the other side. If the 2nd is true why isn't it with everyone? And why only few like me had to suffer with this?
@@Boneteachersir, if some technical glitch has happened and many got less scores than expected, it's more frightening to take a drop year, having no assurance that the same wouldn't happen in future.
@@vaishnavisai947 I too got a difference of 140 than expected..people are either fighting at court or are depressed...but as u said even if we drop another year,there's still no guarantee that this technical glitches wont happen next year

Sir, thank you for your motivation. It meant a lot during my preparation. I am an oldie..passed my MBBS long back in 2012..lost focus..
After my daughter was born in 2018, I don't know what happened..but I felt that I must get back into this race once again..I felt that I must have the same respect for myself which my daughter should have for me..so then I started..cleared MRCOG 1..was a bit confused about appearing for MRCOG 2 or NEET-PG 21..but my father convinced me to go for NEET-PG. I exactly remember the day I started..on 5th Sept 2020..I chose Marrow and started very slowly. At that time,the exam was scheduled on 10th Jan..it was very tough..I had a full time job..and a 2.5yr old daughter..it was impossible to study at home. After duty hours I used to hit the library to study. There was absolutely no scope to study at night or even watch videos at night..things turned worse after Covid vaccination started at my health unit..it became so very hectic..I hardly got 3-4 hrs/day to struggle..A married doctor,with kid, old parents and full time administrative job..I think you can get the picture..
But well, I didn't give up..I got tired sometimes.. especially after the exam got postponed after 18th April..but I think God saw my effort..my parent's sacrifice..my colleagues help.. everyone around me had pitched in their support.
I am so thankful to everyone who helped me..and to everyone who dis not..since they just made my resolve harder. I really thank you, Rohan Sir, Ila Ma'am, Krishna Sir, Ranjan Sir, and all the faculties of Marrow for being so outstanding. I was facing a gap of almost 9yrs..but you all made it so easy..
I have cleared NEET-PG 21 with a decent score..maybe not something great or outstanding..but maybe enough to get my choice of subject.

Wish I had someone like Dr. Abbas to advise me 12-13 years ago. Wouldn’t have made the mistake of dropping for 4 consecutive years! Just kept on repeating the same mistakes year after year and went into a depression spiral until I finally “cracked” my exam and got in.
Follow Dr. Abbas’ advice to the fullest guys and save yourselves from such a situation (like mine). He’s an absolute selfless gem of a person and kudos to him for helping out all prospective PG students! May his tribe increase! 🙏

Oh m god sir. Thank you so much for this. For past two days, I’ve been just sobbing because I got around 10k. And I wanted under 1-2k anyhow. I’ve been looking for scope of Ophtha which is only branch I could do at this rank. Everyone told me To go for drop as it’s my internship attempt, first one. But I felt I’m exhausted mentally in two months. But I think I should drop. And you’re right even though I feel like I’ve done everything but no, there’s always some scope for improvement. I’ll do it all over again. My parents are fairly supportive, told me I’m just 22yo and they’re already very proud with whatever I’ve done, but this state of panic disorder is consuming me but I think I got my answer through this video.
Ek acha attempt toh Banta h sir, I was biased on getting 160 correct in GT that I might make it this year only, but I think I should target better. Thank you sir. Hopefully I will start again in a week or so. You’re literally some guardian angel for me today. My eyes are pooled while writing this but you just cleared the fog over my head, Ophtha vs drop. I’ll drop. Let it be. Let me prepare with all I’ve, it doesn’t matter even if results won’t turn out in my way next exams, atleast I won’t have the regret of not taking a drop. Thank you so much sir. But what bothers me is 1) my low self esteem (like if I am good enough to do this course in the first place) 2) overthinking (what if I regret taking a course ? Clinical branch is always better if that is your passion
if you think you can improve by doing the things you didnt previously, then drop, but if you think your circumstances will become more hard then take your other options
