Totally! Clapping along seems a bit basic but it is an actually a high level exercise that can help musicians tighten up their internal pulse and learn to hear any imperfections that "flam" with the metronome. Of course it's also a great exercise for beginners to develop an internal pulse and learn to follow a metronome.
Congratulations! Your work is very well done, and I wish you a lot of success. If you can indicate the metronome program online would be great. If you can't, no problem. Once again, congratulations (from Brazil).
Thanks Haroldo I was using the ios app "Tempo" on my ipad. There is a good online metronome website that has all the same functionality... metronome-online.com/ Cheers!
Playing with a metronome is a helpful tool to improve pulse and rhythms played to the pulse. The metronome can also be used to keep track of progress while starting to play a piece slow and eventually fast. The important thing is to feel an internal pulse while playing music and musicians often don't realize that their sense of pulse could be improved until they start working with a metronome.
I can see many people on RUclips, not liking this part of the lesson, but so crucial clapping and knowing how to internalize
