  • We want to extend our gratitude to Kristan Ash the Executive Director of the Fraser Northwest Division and acknowledge the work she's done within the Division for the past 9 years.
The Division has had the privilege of collaborating with Kristan Ash for a span of over nine years. Through that time, Kristan has passionately pursued the Division's collective goal: improving primary care so our members can work for their patients with purpose, connect with their colleagues and strive for excellence. Kristan has had a keen focus on listening to our members, amplifying their voices, and ultimately accepting nothing less than what our members and their patients need and deserve.
With Kristan at the helm, the Division has achieved significant milestones:
Facilitating physician engagement and advocacy efforts.
Orchestrating the development of operational infrastructure to effectively sustain the needs of our 460+ members and the dedicated team of 17 staff who uphold our mission.
Cultivating productive relationships and partnerships with entities such as the Health Authority, community partners, our Indigenous community, the Ministry of Health and Doctors of BC.
Spearheading innovative quality improvement initiatives that have gained recognition within the sector.
Building a network of collaborations with peer divisions.
Laying a strong foundation for BC’s first Primary Care Network, which includes the nurse-in-practice program and a low-barrier counselling service with SHARE.
Now, Kristan is embarking on a new chapter in her journey, and although we bid farewell with a heavy heart, we wholeheartedly respect her decision. We extend our deepest gratitude for her unwavering commitment to strengthening primary care within our community.
