    A quick comparison of the all new Superpig vs the Warpig from Ride Snowboards for 2020. I rode both of these snowboards in size Large (154) because I prefer the especially wide waist width at that size. I have spent a lot of time on the Warpig in the past, riding it in all types of conditions, so it was fun to check out the Superpig and share my thoughts on how they stack up. Let me know what you think down in the comments, thanks for watching.

    100% agree, I’ve been rocking the SuperPig so far this year in the NZ season and it’s been an absolute menace on the hardpack and I often find myself bailing out on the speed even though the board just wants to keep going 😂 Even got to take out into the backcountry into some fresh pow on a heliboarding trip and it just blew my mind. Heaps of float and the taper certainly helps keep you locked in and avoiding nasty tomahawks. Love your reviews TJ! Keep em coming!! 🤙🏼🏂

    Nice work man, this video model is perfect imo.
    Comparing 2 boards from the same brand is a very good way to show where are each board's good and weaker points.
    way easier for new snowboarders to have a good idea of what kind of stuff they'd enjoy.

    I just ordered the Superpig today!
    I rode the warpig all last season and really enjoyed it, but I LOVE bombing and hard carving, so when I saw the camber profile with a race base in the same shape, it was a no brainer for me.
    70mph this season? My best on the Warpig was a little over 60.

Still up in the air if I should go with the 2020 warpig or 2020 DOA trying to do a lot more park riding, hiring bigger jumps and locking in on the rails. Any advice on what I should pick

    How does the camber affect the stability? One thing i love about my warpig is how dialed in bombing runs and going flat out... im toying with the idea of upgrading but i just dont know if my skillset is capable or comfortable going to a camber dominant setup for my all mountain deck

    • @jorshaw86
      @jorshaw86 5 лет назад +2

      The difference between flat and camber is a lot less than rocker and camber. I still have a Burton Flying V as my main board that I learned on many years ago and one thing I hate is at speed it will want to rotate on me as I'm coming off edge. So I went with the super pig because I wanted a directional charger that I could take all over the mountain. I haven't rode the warpig but from the sound of it probably not worth upgrading if you already have a warpig as they are pretty close. I almost went with the warpig but I just wanted something really far from my current board that I could progress further into advanced riding.

    • @Bad_Riders
      @Bad_Riders 5 лет назад +1

      jordan shaw thanks for the info. Ive heard that the warpig was decent enough but i love stiffer boards thats why i considered it but i might hold off till the warpig eventually cracks out or explodes. Have you gotten to ride your superpig yet? Looking at the graphics its this years best looking piggie imo 😁

    • @BoardArchive
      @BoardArchive  5 лет назад +5

      If you feel like the Warpig is doing everything you want, and not feeling squirrelly or nervous at times I wouldn’t upgrade yet. The Superpig is definitely more stable and better for carving and going fast, but it’s a lot of board. I wouldn’t go out of my way if I had the Warpig unless you feel like it’s letting you down in carves or something like that

    • @Bad_Riders

    • @WAZmc
      @WAZmc 5 лет назад +2

      buck choi my twin pig top sheet had a big chip out of it from icy snow. Really nice boards to ride but the top sheets seem really fragile on them. Ride said the top sheets were made tougher for 2020 but I disagree.

    • @winterzahn
      @winterzahn 5 лет назад +1

      no crack I think, probably just a scratch which did happen in the liftline, with a skier hitting the top sheet with his ski poles. that is imho the main reason for top sheet problems on ride Snowboards from pigline. If something splits off, do a fix with epoxy or glue if necessary and thats it. my mtnpig has also many scratches, especially the colors goes off pretty easy.. no deep pole impact so far.

    • @WAZmc
      @WAZmc 5 лет назад +2

      I had the 17-18 warpig and the tail cracked through almost all the layers after 4 rides. I ordered from The House, they ended up sending it to Ride who warranty it and gave me inhouse credit for a new board. So i ended buying the 18-19 Warpig same size everything and have over 25 rides on this board without a singe scratch. They did beef them up from my understanding and experience. Plus, Ride added 3 year warrantys so any issues just send it in. By far the funnest board ive ever owned!

    • @bukchoiii
      @bukchoiii 5 лет назад +1

      @@WAZmc Yeah my 2019 had a hairline crack right where the binding meets the nose after I landed a 180. Lucky I was able to warranty it. Will see how the 2020 do.
      I think I'll preemptively get some epoxy for this topless crapsheet quality. Buyers beware.

      Lorenzo Lungo well they don’t have one, but I’ve seen a lot of people posting pictures of their cracked boards right behind the binding on the tail. Could just be from abuse but I’ve seen it enough that I returned mine

    • @ddollerup
      @ddollerup 4 года назад

      Prep it like a skateboard deck where you don't have a top sheet either; you run some soft sandpaper on the edges of the top side of the board (not the metal edges itself). This makes it almost impossible for material to catch the sheet and crack. I ride my boards with no mercy and loads of abuse - no cracks in the sheet of my twinpig.
