@kmart014 Utopia is the last Oasis class ship. That class of ship is well established and Royal Caribbean fans already know what to expect. There are a few features that will differentiate it from its sister ships, but it won't be different enough to warrant tons of attention, especially compared to Icon being the beginning of a new class
Won't go on new ships until prices come down. But I don't like the older small ships, they feel way overcrowded, not enough entertainment and some rough issues with maintenance. Larger ships Quantum class and above do a better job of spacing passengers.
The Wife & I have done a few out of Norfolk VA. and it Seem's as We just get settle and it's Time to get off ...Not worth it for Us , But it was Cruising ...
To be very frank, I think after 3 days you'll realize it wasn't enough time and wish you were on longer. 3-night cruises are good for those with cruising experience and just looking for a quick getaway.
We have been on a 3 night cruise to Nassau (Bahamas) and Coco Cay. We felt that 3 nights isn’t long enough to explore the cruise and that was Independence of the Seas which is 2-3 times smaller than Icon of the Seas. If you’re also going to Nassau and Coco Cay, I would recommend staying back on the ship on the Nassau day and explore the cruise. Just do the Coco Cay on the other day. That’s how you get better value for your cruise ticket .
Thank goodness I can utilize interline rates because of my job 😂 Seeing people pay $6k+ for an interior of their choosing is beyond crazy. I was able to snag up a central park infinite balcony on Star in the location of my choosing for $5010. I personally like the central park balconies and the serenity of the scenery plus if I want to see the ocean I can just go to one of the open decks. Regardless, it was a gift for my mom and it's an experience I know she will enjoy so I'm happy with my decision to book
The new ships are beautiful but I really don't care for that name. Sounds cheap. Opulence of the Seas or something like that sounds better and more stately IMHO.
Another Ugly of the Seas ship.. I like RCI but these new ships look horrible.. far too crowded. Utopia of the Seas
@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog why isn’t there more content on utopia?
@kmart014 Utopia is the last Oasis class ship. That class of ship is well established and Royal Caribbean fans already know what to expect. There are a few features that will differentiate it from its sister ships, but it won't be different enough to warrant tons of attention, especially compared to Icon being the beginning of a new class
Because Royal doesn’t want you focusing on a ship coming out in July when there’s a ship coming in January
Won't go on new ships until prices come down. But I don't like the older small ships, they feel way overcrowded, not enough entertainment and some rough issues with maintenance. Larger ships Quantum class and above do a better job of spacing passengers.
We are sailing on the Icon in Oct and cant wait. Have you been on a 3 day cruise? What can I expect to experience for that short of a cruise?
The Wife & I have done a few out of Norfolk VA.
and it Seem's as We just get settle and it's Time
to get off ...Not worth it for Us , But it was Cruising ...
Mega ships are cool but their prices are not
I Jutta booked utopia
Its in front of me in meyer turku finland ship yard
I did it for October 2025
Thank goodness I can utilize interline rates because of my job 😂 Seeing people pay $6k+ for an interior of their choosing is beyond crazy. I was able to snag up a central park infinite balcony on Star in the location of my choosing for $5010. I personally like the central park balconies and the serenity of the scenery plus if I want to see the ocean I can just go to one of the open decks. Regardless, it was a gift for my mom and it's an experience I know she will enjoy so I'm happy with my decision to book
Icon of the Seas: Mega Olympic
Star of the Seas: Mega Titanic
Nope. Won’t be booking for several years I’m sure. We like to vacation a few times a year and that would blow our budget.
I guess RC is wanting only people making 6 figures or more on their megaships
It’s supply and demand. Lots of ppl like this ship it’s had lots of views so since a lot want it it’ll go up in price
Too too much money too expensive $8000-$9000 for a balcony or outside cabin
The new ships are beautiful but I really don't care for that name. Sounds cheap. Opulence of the Seas or something like that sounds better and more stately IMHO.
$2300 per person 😂😂😂😂😂 that’s funny. They aren’t Disney but pricing higher than Disney.
You should know it's very expensive.
your a star
More overcrowded ports.
These ships are getting out of peoples price range next you'll be taking out a mortgage just to cruise 🛳.
Another Ugly of the Seas ship.. I like RCI but these new ships look horrible.. far too crowded.
Honestly though how many of these big ships do they need to service the one area of the world.. all these monstrosities haunt the carribean and thats it. then you have all the other cruise companies doing the same thing.. thats alot of ships for one area.. thats blows my mind
Naw going to give it a couple of years first
Pronounced co co CAY . . . Actually not so much Key
Don’t like the decor (bright neon colors) of RCL newer ships. Looks cheap, not classy
The price is TERRIBLE
OK this is getting out of hand this is WAY too big
also when you get to land to go out HOW many people will have to deal with how many other ships are at same place NO thanks
