When I played GTA 3 growing up, I had a cracked version that didn't have any music except for the title music and in game cutscenes ones (thanks Myth cracks) so I never got to experience the soundtrack as a kid. Since replaying it properly, and discovering MSX, I've been listening to MSX FM while playing other games because it's that good. This and RISE FM are the best ones
Rockstar really helped put drum and bass and more of that UK sound on the map with its inclusion of MSX and RISE. Sure, a lot of PS1 and PS2 games featured drum and bass in their OST, but not the way Rockstar did it with tracks from the actual producers and DJs. I feel a lot of us Americans and non-Europeans wouldn't have been so exposed to that sound otherwise. When I hear those two stations, it's not long before i feel i'm being transported into the functions/raves of that era. Especially with RISE, I just picture a bunch of sweaty people having a good time in some 24/7 warehouse or nightclub (The Planetarium!)
MSX FM is and always will be my favorite radio station in the GTA series, it's a huge shame you don't get Moving Shadow or any other underground DnB tracks of that style in any of the later gta games anymore.
With how they added so much radio stations in GTAO after like 2020, i figure we gonna hear some DNB If not, Fans can 100% deliver, some of GTA SA "alternate" radio stations is just real fire
@@acayette totally not true Blonded, Blue Ark and FlyLo are all pretty fire, with interesting deep cuts and not much hits Also Non-Stop-Pop and LSRR are all pretty nice stations for people to chill and listen to the good old hits It's not a instant classic like 3D GTAs (Can't argue that just ANY station is actually Goated, be it MSX, K-Jah, V-Rock, The Wave, Radio X, Playback or other, i'll still bop) radios but it's good nonetheless
It's Drum and Bass music from an actual music company called Moving Shadow who's artists consist of Omni Trio, Aquasky, nCode, Dom & Roland, Rascal & Klone, and many more. As far as my knowledge goes in terms of gaming related content, I believe some of their music was also in both the introduction movie to GTA 2 and also in Rollcage: Stage II. EDIT: MSX FM's song line-up in GTA III is a short version of their full set on the 01.1 mix album and is remixed and dubbed over by DJ Timecode and MC Codebreaker.
I love how you used the gta lcs version in the thumbnail. Its LCS 98 fm it stands for "M"oving "S"hadow remi"X"es if you didnt know. Also the the gta lcs version is much better than this. Especially the amen break at 3:40 ish munite idk
Facts MSX is so fire
ESPECIALLY when Omni Trio comes in, amazing
Yes yes yes

@@somesortafitnotquiteright "Well, that's one pest exterminated"

Ever since this game, DnB has became one of my most all time favorite subgenres.
let's agree that first contact is really the best song on msx radio
First Contact in mix with Spectre especially, Spectre break in harmony with First Contact break making that unique feel of speed and epic
T minus, winner takes all, get wild and monolith good too
My three personal favorites is Get Wild, Spasm, and Spectre.
Never gonna stop, never gonna quit
Thanks G

“…MSX is the best no contest…”
Rise FM would like a word with you!
“Never buckle unda pressha, bad tricks up my sleeve, what made me wanna try dis? No one trusts me….”
with MSX on, cars have +10 speed & handling

Well dnb wasn't born fully yet and haven't adopted any attention back in the 80s, it's more of a 90s-2000s type of song
My driving skills get better when listening to this radio station. I lay it when doing taxi missions.
Shoutout to the email crew
The station got me into dnb and the whole uk scene lmao
msx and rise the best radio in the game
SHOW THEM MR TIMECODE

Cg... I always like VCS more than LCS so i didnt knew sorry, I wanted that thumbnail to look good
Good station I just hated that Jamaican guy rapping and saying random shit over the music. It would have been better if it was just the music
Imo that goofy guy makes it better cause of his funny accent
