Word about this just spread through our family, I think our grandfather (Christy Shannon) would be tickled to know he had a hand in documenting some of Cappawhite history. He was very proud of where he came from. Thank you for sharing. P.S. lovely to hear Frank Forster's voice again, he was a lovely man.

Christy Shannon was my great uncle, his sister was my grandmother. Frank Forster was my father. This whole clip made me cry. I spent my first couple of years in Cappawhite and haven't been back since 2004. I lasT saw Christy in Santa Barbara, California, USA when he and his wife came to stay with my parents.

This isn't the whole video taken by Christy...he also photographed Dublin that same year...classic footage all dubbed over by my father Frank Forster. It should be in the national archives, I have the whole thind on DVD luckily as he gave it to my father.
