This is a fantastic video and I am so pleased I found it. I was born and raised in Sussex but in recent years discovered that my paternal Great Grandmother Joanna Donegan, was born and grew up in Ballyporeen. She later married a man called Patrick Carroll and they moved away to Charleville in County Cork, where my Grandmother and her siblings were born. Following the death of Patrick, the family eventually moved to Bognor Regis in West Sussex at sometime in 1923-1924. My Grandmother then married a local fisherman who in turn had a number of children, one of which was my father. I Know this is a long shot but if anyone knows anything about the Donegan family in Ballyporeen, could you please let me know as I would be very grateful for any information. Although I have been to Ireland a couple of times, I have never been to Ballyporeen but I am very much hoping to rectify that on my next visit. Brillant video- well done.
