The vase itself is already so beautiful! The first two branches were enough! And then, oh my, the forsythia! And then a touch of iris and a narcissus group! I am quite envious. Here in southern Ontario (Canada) we aren't seeing much blossoming yet--give us a week or two. Just gorgeous John. I love what you do with wild, natural and "found" things. I like the eggs added on as well. It has a Japanese touch to it doesn't it? Bit ikebana-y, and "plum" branches. I really love this. By the way, I like the links to older videos. Such wealth in all of them. Thanks John.
Thank you Lynne. 😀 I was quite restrained with the eggs, but afterwards I added more and I really liked it 😀 I think the container and branches give it that Ikebana feel 😀 Hope you at ready for the spring weather there - it’s lovely when it arrives. 🌼🌱😀
I love, love, love this, John! Thank you for this one. The line of the branches is so interesting, coupled with the gorgeous vase. You may find it funny. but I kept thinking while you were arranging the branches, "put in a small bunch of tulips or daffodils". And you did! Wonderful design! And, if I'm not being too bold, it appears you've lost weight. I have to say you look great! See you next week! Meanwhile, take care.
Thank you 😊 I’ve been trying to lose a little weight but kind of stuck, but maybe the clothes helped! 😀 The little touch of daffodils just add a splash of colour and stop the design looking too bare - it brings the spring into the design! Hope you have a great week! 😀🌼
You make the most beautiful yellow arrangements, John! Love it! I have a pear tree (that I am not very good at taking care of) and I just noticed the other day how some of the budding branches might be usable in an arrangement. Guess what I'm going to do tomorrow?! 😊 Thx for always inspiring me!
I so enjoy seeing you again. Happy Spring.
Happy Spring to you too 😀🌼🌱

I love it so much. I wish I had a large living room and create large designs like this.
Thank you! I think working big is easier - but you are right, you do need somewhere for it to go when it’s made! 😀

The hedge twig is a hawthorn. They have quite vicious thorns.
Thank you! Yes, I realised later it wasn’t the one I thought. Big thorns and ideal for a hedge really 😀🌼
Too early for Hawthorn. Id say blackthorn
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you 😀🌼
Blackthorn blossom
I don’t think the iris leaves are necessary, nice arrangement and lovely vase

Pear Tree Branch bit too long!
