This is fantastic! It took me weeks to understand this rhythm back in music school (pre-youtube). Thank you for helping to make music education accessible.
Fantastic.Do you have any of these beats to download that could be used in a DAW.I am not a drummer but could make use of these in my tunes I lay down.I am thinking Horace Silver for this one.
I'd love to see this in an app that I could put on my iPad and then be able to adjust individual volumes(along the idea of B.Bucketgeneva's 1 limb at at a time idea....
do you have any chance to give us the pattern retranscription with notes? Your system to follow the beat is great but it is still hard for those who learnt with notes (i have a visual memory!).
Hi Aurelie, Did you try to find the Nanigo notation on google. I'm pretty sure you should be able to find the classical notation in seconds, it's a very common rhythm. Or better yet, try to transcribe it by ear with the video, it's a good training ! Thank you for your comment
I'm working on a coordination book, but it's not ready yet, i'm taking time to choose the appropriate exercises. It will probably be free and ebook only. Thank you for your interest.
@@DrumsetFundamentals Oooooh that's crazy! Do you make these in After Effects? Their so well done. have you thought about the app idea? :) I would pay ;)
Hi, yes it's all in After Effects (for the graphics) with a lot of expressions programmation. I did thought deeply about an app, but it's still in draft phase for now.
This is a very easy rhythm to make sense of... it sways nicely. I think it is somewhere on Crosby Stills Nash and Young's Deja Vu album... of all places!
@@DrumsetFundamentals It was my perception. You're right. Another point: Most people are used to reading notes. Have you given any thought to having a conventional staff below the circles so we can use both. I think that could help.

something else cool would be if you introduced on limb at a time. maybe after the full beat played 16 bars then slowly added in the limbs
Hi Bob, that's a good idea, to isolate the limbs, i'll think about it for the future. Thank you for the suggestion.
Ggg
I know this is a 3 year old comment but if you're looking at this now like I am you can use the video speed settings to speed it up or slow it down!
I think in shapes and patterns, and this greatly helps me play guitar and create riffs
Never Seen a easier way to explore a rhythem. If tout are thé first one who do that tout worth my respect.
This one is really cool but difficult. Love it.🎉
Hey these are awesome. Thanks for this.Keep them coming
This makes it a shuffle. I had fun learning to read and play to this notation though. For sure!
Thanks man! Just started playing drums and your videos helped me getting started. Just subscribed ^^

Hi Robert, thank you for your suggestions.
Agree 100%. as soon as I found d these videos i went looking for the app. It didn't exist.
@@DrumsetFundamentals I love the idea of being able to mute/volume slider for each part. i would gladly pay for that app.
oh man I would too!!! And to be able to slow the tempo down WOULD BE HUUUGE!!
Excellent. subscribed.
So cool

so cool
Just soo damn good.
So is it 2 on the floor tom or 3 because it sounds like 3 hits even though it shows 2. AMAZING VIDEOS and animation by the way!!
Hi lukesuperflyjones, there's 2 floor tom hits, the bass drum hit just before is tricking your brain, but the representation is accurate.

Oh, this one uses the long bell instead. Cool
Me gusta mucho
Woow, 😍😍
Good
This is like trying to pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time 😵
What program did you use to design this?
This beat gives me the stank face.
Not quite my tempo, were you rushing or were you dragging?
👍🏻
Wonderful concept, but the visual happens before the sound on some rhythms, which throws me off.
Hi Greg, If it's happen then the problem is somewhere in your playback system or perception. Because it's 100% accurate and in sync.

How the hell do drummers manage these patterns? My brain 'n body just isn't up to it!
I’m still having problems with my cymbal
Practice. Learn one part at a time and slowly put them together.
