I use to shift+tab in csgo all the time because I would hold shift to walk and then push tab to bring up the leaderboard and shitf+tab is the steam overlay

I play together with people who use all kinds of operating system, but Linux is in base game the most stable one and the one which desyncs the least (also, if Linux users host it desyncs normally less for everyone else too, especially in Stellaris).
But in the mod we use our modder managed to fuck it up so badly that they are most unstable clients...
And add to that that they not only don't use a version control system (like an idiot; version control system are the only thing which keeps you sane as a developer in the long run, you only don't use them for experimenting and one-off scripts) and have a stick so much in their arse that they refuse help (around anything really) and then complain about the amount of work, yeah, things don't always go well.
generally the problem is with all the people still running on dial up sub 1MBps internet instead of an actual decent modern connection

I love how the title of the video went away from the more common 100 college numbering system to a 200 numbering system because at the end Swimmy and Golden are trying to teach Bo stupid super advanced Paradox bugfixing that I've never heard of to keep the game going.

Idk how to tell you this but any college that has “101” probably has “201” as the next class sequentially. The first number generally represents course level, while the other two are the actual ID of what the course subject is.

To those that dont know why it was crashing, I think its because of a map error caused by that port, since they did change it, they probably forgot to add in the buildings file where every model for everybuilding in the game is assigned to, so essentaly, it assigns it there but no model is placed there, so it crashes. and they tried to use the nudge tool at the end to fix that, since it can generate said buildigns for the state. Just gotta drag from the doccuments folder to the mod folder. In fact, in baffled by how no one noticed the issue when they changed it, since if you load the game in debug mode, it literally tells you if there's an error as well as giving a log.

I really love how paradox designes an online multiplayer who gives you the nostalgic memories of trying to get a game to run at a lan party in 2006.
Paradox using the cosmic power of the universe to make it so nearly all of their games have the most unstable and broken multiplayer systems in history be like:

Making a stable multiplayer game?
Four players? Possible. Just 8 times harder than single player.

So like everything that would go wrong with 8 will definitely happen here. And we have new problems. Fun.
I think the easiest fix would be that the map be hosted by two parties and used by others to reload. But no. That isn't how HoI does it.

Modelling hundreds of production lines battles armies fighting and event chains? A touch more challenging.
Why building a port in a province is enough to trigger instability is unclear to me.

On the other armies of 40 units with potentially unique stats with logistics and health and organization and entrenchment and air support and antiair and all these things change over time.

But keeping that spreadsheet identical for everyone is important. And probably why desync happens.

The streams where the game breaks and all sanity is thrown out the window to try to solve it (boot down the stream Bo), those streams are the best. Although understandably frustrating and annoying for you as a host, it's hilarious watching 30 mouth-breathers try to get a game of mappies up and running

This was likely caused by people not cleaning their cache. This exact issue happened to my friends and I as we were playing Road to 56 RP Beta.
Clearing the cache is their standard go to fix and when it kept crashing they explicitly told everyone to do it again, it still crashed.
So either someone was a major asshole or that wasn't it.

Just a suggestion that I think would be a fairly nice thing to implement in the mod you guys use is adding Svalbard/Spitzbergen depending on where you are from as the small artic islands were extremely important weather stations for naval combat and maybe there could be something that adds a buff to naval combat of the country that controls the islands? like a small buff thats called "Weather advantage" or something like that. but thats all up to you guys.

About the pump-and-dump, it's not really an evolutionary advantage. Conception is more likely when the woman actually enjoys it too. Your pump-and-dump strategy you have to try a bunch of times and hope you get lucky, but the guy that lasts as long as he has to is gonna be a one-and-done. Also the risk of getting killed during coitus is very low. Unless you're cheating/sleeping with someone else's partner. Being killed by animals during the act hasn't been a major problem since we invented houses. A bear isn't going to ring the doorbell and appreciate you being done so you can answer the door.
Game is still more stable than my sanity on alt history hoi4 games…
