Glad to see you get your plumbing fixed. Having lived in an old house with terrible plumbing I can relate to the problems you had to endure. I didn't own the home with plumbing problems and furnace problems-I just rented it in the 70's really cheap. It was hard but the house was affordable at the time and we had a roof over our heads.

Wow Tessie, That sure is a lot of work but by the end of the day you now have fully working new water lines new floors I just had some electrical work done here and maybe more to do look forward to seeing what else is being done you will have a nice new home :-) Love you my Sister :-) God Bless You and Ken :-)

I know your joy! We had our 120yr old house replumbed 11yrs ago & hooked up to the local water CoOp. Oh, the complete joy of not smelling sulpher, mold, or septic! Congratulations Tessie🎉
But who knew that the property would end up in the end that it would turn out a blessing. When we're humble God blesses. Im so glad all the mess is fixed! HalleluYah!! Your giddy laugh makes me chuckle lol.

Oh so happy for you guys! This is such a celebration. When all is said and done perhaps you two could go out somewhere or grill something special at home to celebrate a closing of a chapter in your lifetime and starting a new chapter. Debt free and everything, way to go guys! Tessie I think about all your past years of carrying buckets of water, and the word I think of is perseverance. Our ancestors had to do this a lot. My wish for you and Ken is to be able to sit back relax more and truly enjoy your fruits of all the years of perseverance, hard work and determination. It certainly all came to fruition for two very hard working humble people.

Hi there. Have you heard of Doug and Ashley from DIYfferent I think that's how it's spelled. Currently restoring a 1984 mobile home. They have done so many restorations. So much talent.😂 Completely gutted each project they take on. I appreciate getting the old stuff vacuumed out. One day it would be wonderful to get the ground under the unit cleared of all the debris and put down a barrier on the ground. There must be so much satisfaction in diy and seeing results! 🙂

But I have to wonder if it wouldnt have been cheaper just to buy a newer trailer that had decent plumbing/floors etc? And that poor guy that did all the work in your house without AC and over 100 degrees! He is truly a Saint!

This is fantastic! For years watching you I would always wonder- why aren't they fixing their hot water (especially with income from youtube and living so frugally) but now it makes sense! It wasn't as simple as a hot water heater- you needed your entire house replumbed!!! So happy for you!

So happy for you. So excited about new plumbing!! We celebrate 🎉 with you! The house we grew up and had some issues. It was in a fire so half of it was just beams, floor joyce, and part of it was not. You could see the gram below in the sky above. It had a toilet in the middle of a bedroom floor with a curtain around it, but you had to pour water to flush. It had a 5 gallon bucket in the ground for the septic tank. In the kitchen, there were no cabinets or nothing like that. There was just two copper pipes one for hot one for cold . And then we took a bath in a garbage can and filled with water. It took a while to fix it, but it turned out to be so beautiful over the years. I am so excited for you! Blessings.

I really hope that one day we can meet! I’m continuing to work and plan out extending my garden 🪴 I had to put many of my herbs in pots this year, so by fall I want them in a bed. Always lots to do as you well know. Oh I love the flooring in your “new” bathroom too!

I'm guessing that the plastic you spoke of is the vapor barrier. It keeps the wet ground from creating mold inducing moisture vapors from rising to the underside of the house as it dries.
...And some fancy new cupboard/cabinet handles from the thrift store...ooooh...that'd be so cute...and thrifty!
