one of the best fights I ever had, played a max block gladiator against Inzaro who had shield and sword, how epic it was when we both used shield charge and hit each other with perfect timing with this music in background
You have the imperial trumpets and choir of the Emperor, and the high-speed mechanical percussion of the Labyrinth. Combined, you get Ghost Cyborg Emperor Badass. ...holy shit, Izaro's a Tenno. He kitbashed himself a Warframe.

I wondered the same and finalky tried it out.. much better experience. You are forced to pay mire attention to the game yiur build, your drcisions, gearing, everything. And it feels good when you succeed. Fresh break from the endless mindless and in the end pointless currency grind. For me as an intermediate poe player, I'd say, HC is a learning opportunity and a challenge of "how far can I go"? This league I managed to get to yellow maps, but I got unluckily oneshot. I agree poe is frustrating, too many random oneshot unexplainable deaths. But the benefits are there as well, try it out really if you have at least some grasp of the game.@@tunnar79
@@ubelmensch I went Necromancer for my first run. I am a glass shell surrounded by Flesh, Bone, and Spirits! (Haven't died yet, but came close a few times. I can take exactly 1 hit without dying. xD)
+Sunny Lu I don't have a good enough rig to play hardcore. Also, I play far too recklessly and carelessly to play HC at the moment. I don't like to lose a whole character because my computer seized for two seconds or whatnot. So what I do is try to make it to level 90 or w/e without a death. Usually, that fails miserably on my first character, but that's fine =P.
I've actually cried for Izaro. So wise... yet so naive. He just wanted the emperor to be the Inca again, and he was right. If only Chitus had had to fight him at the end... Wraeclast would have had a very different history. And we'd have had a totally different game.
He learned from that, too bad that Izaro is forever trapped and damned by his own creation. Izaro is one of the characters that I love learning about, his story reminds me a fair bit of Marcus Aurelius and his son, where Marcus was a fairly competent ruler and is heir was.... less so and devolved the Roman Empire into a mess for a time. Turns out that sometimes, no matter how you design your tests to weed out those incapable, the worst always seem to grab power.
Here you can hear why the PoE-soundtrack is great. The first half engaging, like the challenge of a trial (to become the new emperor in the past) should be... ascending into the last part of pure heroism. You can feel the epicness while figting Izaro, with all the lore behind it... the only reason I don't become insane after years of lab-trials xD

Even today, this music makes me think of high wire circus performers. (but due to the context I am always scared of lacerates, poison spray bombs, and minion drain)
Just a straight fight avoiding his AOE's too... Too many fights involve 'you stand here and die' mechanics... Most all games seem to do that these days. Just a way to make it harder, even if you have sufficient gear/decent skill.
+rhodan74 the first two fights are fine. The THIRD fight is a hot mess because 90% of the room is a deathtrap, and the other 10% is left for Izaro to corner you in.

"No two fights are alike." Yeah, well, after 100 tries each dying to misfortunate lags or random one hits + exact same boss room mechanics I really doubt that.
I think one of the best experiences in the game is doing your first labyrinth and fighting Izaro for the first time. It never gets old.

An emperor alone is just a man.
