We mainly communicate and guide each other on how we want to be pleasured, but sometimes porn makes it interesting and easier to demonstrate a certain fantasy. Yea so can social media, movies and tv shows. A lot of things can make any human perceive people differently. Porn ain’t the only thing that used to warp people perception.
How are people not woken up to how awful porn is in so many ways, for our mental health society family relationships etc it’s one of the biggest destroyers
For me I was addicted to porn and I used to see it as fun with orgasm etc, but now 4 years ago it is no longer like that! I now prefer without it, porn is purely commercial, inhuman and immoral! It's like destroying the subconscious mind and imagination! And a completely unrealistic picture of the body of a woman and a man and orgasm appears from what it really is! When I began to educate and discover my body and my orgasm, my desires by myself, and also when I learned about the body of women and men, genitals and sex in a correct and scientific way, I stopped watching porn.
L take. Porn as a concept isn’t inherently good or bad. Its your relationship to it how and for what you use it and where it comes from and how and with what intention it was produced. Same principle as with anything a human could consume. Food, drugs, media, you name it.

Porn is unethical and damaging. This is just the reality of it. I could quote so many articles but we all have internet connection here, if you care to know, the data is there, you will soon arrive to the same conclusion. As a former porn consumer who just stopped 2 years ago: just care to know, please.
For my masters I wrote a paper about porn and a few of my thoughts include 1) I believe that there is some form of porn out there for everyone, 2) With that said, visual media media might not be everyone's preferred form of content (there is audio, comics, books, short stories, etc,.. that people may perfer) 3) The stigma and shame around porn is the biggest problem. Having conversations around porn is very important. Parents and children in an age appropriate manner - just the same as there are conversations about internet safety, with a friend to normalize sexuality that we are all born with, and with partners to be open and honest and to further expand someones sex life. 4) If there were less stigma around porn there might be ways to further improve the sex industry that ensures the majority of porn is produced ethically and cast and crew are fairly compensated
@@CreativeC13 yes, this unfortunately is out there. And there is some porn that is not this. Hopefully some day there can be a turn away from inappropriate fetishization.
1) no porn is bad for everyone and no one should watch it Increase erectile dysnfunction, damage grey matter, decreases testerone, damage pair bonding, normalize violent and destructive sexual things. 2)it bad no matter what type of media form you consume it in 3)Yeah no it the opposite, porn is far to accepted in society and society whether it be movie, shows or whatever is extremely sexualized and pornified. 4)the sex industry is inherently abusive and dehumanizing. When the value of the person is how good of a human sex toy they can be it is not surprising abuse, dehumanization and other bad stuff is so commonplace.
several studies have shown porn alters ur brain receptors in a very negative way. lots of psychologists and psychiatrists have agreed. a porn addiction is one of the most damaging addictions one can have as it quite literally impacts certain chemicals in your brain. although imo its none of my business what anyone watches, i think porn as a whole shouldnt be advertised as something completely normal and okay.
Actually, as long as its not an addiction, watching non violent porn doesnt seem to have negative effects on people. I dont watch porn, but its not that bad.
i'm a christian, but the reason i don't watch porn isn't solely because of my faith. there are a few issues -- first, that it's a slippery slope (no pun intended), it's very addictive. addiction of any type is scary and best avoided. secondly, it's dehumanizing, objectifying and sexualizing people (mostly women.) it's not right to watch of video of someone doing it because it makes you feel good. even if the videos are consensual, at least my conscience tells me i shouldn't view humans this way. anyways if you do watch porn i won't freak out and say you're a horrible person, but i do generally advise against it. when i was a teenager i had access to porn once and it has really destroyed me and warped the way i view women to this day
The kind of porn matters. Anything degrading to women is a huge red flag and shouldnt be consumed. Unfortunately even if you just watch "wholesome, romantic" porn, you see images of not as wholesome things so youre subjected to it anyway. So for that reason, i think its not okay. If there were a magicalworld where you could go toa site and *only* see wholesome images, then fine. But that utopia does not exist. It's naive to think youre not affected by peripheral things. It starts at your subconscious.
Why is it a red flag? Also why specifically degrading women? There’s plenty of adult entertainment degrading men, trans people, people based on their race, etc. It’s a kink for a lot of people to degrade or be degraded. Who cares if people consume it or act it out in real life as long as it’s consensual for all parties? Live and let live
@@Ceerads Nah, I don't agree. Two sexy lesbians being romantic and fondling bodies and having sex (my favourite type of pornography) is not raw. It's wholesome.

I'm concerned about the girlie who said she stopped pleasuring herself bc of the Bible...girlie. You do you but repression is not healthy for anyone.
Yeah I felt really sorry for her. Man, religion is so harmful.
yup, thats also an unhealthy relationship with sex
The Bible is also very hypocritical and concerning if you actually read it and don’t pick and choose what fits you. And it’s heavily up to interpretation too.
Some call it repression, others call it self-discipline.
@@weidchar1646 the level of brainwashing and stupidity it takes for someone to think that some dude in the sky cares about you getting yourself off, is mind-numbing. @@Rattlsnke despite that most teens dont even watch the teen category. its popular amongst grown middle aged men the most. besides, if you have to create an entire category solely for minors, that should be enough of a red flag.

The fact that 25 said no is very surprising to me
Liars. People kinda feel embarrassed knowing this is going on the internet. It's like if someone asks something private and your brain just says no quickly.everybody watches porn, even religious people.
Why? There are hundreds of thousands that fortunately have not even watches a single second of porn, maybe even less seconds, sooo.
Those who are not accidentally exposed to it are sooo lucky bcz they get to keep their eyes clean.
I've come to believe that it's all around just bad, and people shouldn't watch it. I never had an issue with my partners watching it until more recently as it caused a lot of issues with our intimacy he would hide it from me and rather watch porn instead of having sex w/me and when I would ask he would say no bc he was tired or some other reason but eventually I stopped asking. I had tried to talk about it, and he basically said that I don't turn him on and the times we would it was very disconnected and I could tell he was just doing/saying things he would watch & seemed disappointed after. Idk how porn could enhance a relationship ever. It is like “I want you to be this for me, or perform this way” why not communicate, explore each other without watching other people having sex. My fiancé said he’ll literally be keeping notes on what I enjoy and that is more attractive than watching porn together to “get inspiration”
I have been and know of a lot of abusive scenarios when a male partner is known to stray and porn is used as a tool by a woman to keep him from cheating. Leaving is the answer there.
@@fatcatontario wow that’s so scary. I feel like women will do everything we can to keep our partners happy. Even if we sacrifice our own needs. We can’t help someone who doesn’t want help/recognize they need help.
@@SweatPea0014 agreed and if a partner is pressuring you to do something (especially sexually) one should run not walk away.
I think it depends on how it's used. My boyfriend and I have watched porn together to get us in the mood. It's not every time, but we use it here and there for fun. We mainly communicate and guide each other on how we want to be pleasured, but sometimes porn makes it interesting and easier to demonstrate a certain fantasy. Different things work for everyone, but I would say it does enhance my relationship. As long as people accept and understand that porn is not realistic, I see no issue.
Now that you asked, I can imagine looking up the top 10 most ridiculous poses in sex and trying them just for the laughs. If we can survive doing the helicopter I see it as a bonding experience lmaoo
I personally quit watching that stuff, it literally changes how you view people and sets unrealistic standards.
exactly It definitely can
That's why it can be a good idea to watch videos of people who actually love each other and passionately have sex. There are plenty of videos like that out there and can even improve your perspective of what relationships should look like. But porn has become a lot more mainstream and has resulted in most front-page content being full of generic pornstars who bang just for the video.

I honestly don't understand why some people have such strong opinions about porn.
Just because it's an addiction for some, it doesn't mean that everyone interacts with porn the same way or gets the same thing out of it.
Personally, I can hardly imagine porn interfering with any aspect of my own life.

I know it's unethical and damaging, I just don't care
@@painunending4610 So what?
when that guy said « 1 girl is cool » I heard « 1 year old is cool » I was like wtf
For my masters I wrote a paper about porn and a few of my thoughts include
1) I believe that there is some form of porn out there for everyone,
2) With that said, visual media media might not be everyone's preferred form of content (there is audio, comics, books, short stories, etc,.. that people may perfer)
3) The stigma and shame around porn is the biggest problem.
I feel like porn is so full of misogyny and weird treatment of women
Not to mention the weird racial fetishization
@@CreativeC13 yes, this unfortunately is out there. And there is some porn that is not this. Hopefully some day there can be a turn away from inappropriate fetishization.
1) no porn is bad for everyone and no one should watch it Increase erectile dysnfunction, damage grey matter, decreases testerone, damage pair bonding, normalize violent and destructive sexual things.
2)it bad no matter what type of media form you consume it in
3)Yeah no it the opposite, porn is far to accepted in society and society whether it be movie, shows or whatever is extremely sexualized and pornified.
4)the sex industry is inherently abusive and dehumanizing. When the value of the person is how good of a human sex toy they can be it is not surprising abuse, dehumanization and other bad stuff is so commonplace.
@Orange_creamsicle it's not just "out there," it's the norm.

several studies have shown porn alters ur brain receptors in a very negative way. lots of psychologists and psychiatrists have agreed. a porn addiction is one of the most damaging addictions one can have as it quite literally impacts certain chemicals in your brain. although imo its none of my business what anyone watches, i think porn as a whole shouldnt be advertised as something completely normal and okay.
Actually, as long as its not an addiction, watching non violent porn doesnt seem to have negative effects on people. I dont watch porn, but its not that bad.
@@shimblock the problem is that it usually does escalate to an addiction.

i'm a christian, but the reason i don't watch porn isn't solely because of my faith. there are a few issues -- first, that it's a slippery slope (no pun intended), it's very addictive. addiction of any type is scary and best avoided. secondly, it's dehumanizing, objectifying and sexualizing people (mostly women.) it's not right to watch of video of someone doing it because it makes you feel good. even if the videos are consensual, at least my conscience tells me i shouldn't view humans this way. anyways if you do watch porn i won't freak out and say you're a horrible person, but i do generally advise against it. when i was a teenager i had access to porn once and it has really destroyed me and warped the way i view women to this day
