I know it doesn't look as flashy, but the DC launch he did while Cortana was talking right before this hammer launch is actually much harder to do lol. It's hard to tell what even happened there, but he launched himself through a whole hallway before the hammer launch.
So for the second level I swear I saw this man once use some type of teleport with the shield. I could be tripping but I swear on my life. When u have to evacuate after activating the bomb, u jump down to the first door that opens in the mission and in that room u throw a shield in a specific spot and it just tps u to the end. I’ve only seen it done once but wouldn’t that strat be faster? Or is it a glitch that’s hard to replicate? Is it even allowed? Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
That trick is really hard to pull off, there are several DC clips that can be utilized on several levels (crow's nest, floodgate, covenant), but they're so precise and hard that they're more of an IL strat than fg strat. As a runner, going for giga insane tricks late into the run is a big risk, even the earliest possible use on this (the one you're saying) is an attempt that must be done each 10 ish minutes to get there.... and mostly fail/die on that trick can be a wearysome drag. Even the best h3 runners agree it's a bad trick, just of how difficult it is.
I know its never going to be allowed for proper speedruns, but theres a mod that removes the cortana and gravemind flashes on the workshop, would you ever be interested in trying a run of that just for the sake of not having those annoying sections slowing your time?
It could be a proper speedrun, if someone downloads the mod and just starts setting records on it. The community would follow out of curiosity and optimization.
