Visit ajanta and ellora caves in aurangabad . Its a world heritage unesco site. Largest monolith structure of the world . Entirely carved in basalt rock by 6th century indians. Also bibi ka maqbara is a tajmahal like structure nearby the caves. That is something to be in awe of. Not the buildings of mumbai.

Just some info on Haji Ali - You seem to have visited on a low tide day which is why you could get down on the rocks. If you go on a mid tide/ high tide day that area is all sea and only the centre walkway is accessible. On High tide nights even the walkway gets covered by water at times. It's pretty cool!

If you are in mumbai please visit Kanheri caves ( old Buddhists cave surrounded by jungle) it was located in sanjay gandhi national park . It was completely different from mumbai city, you can do bird watching and tigar safari there

Since you're in Maharastra state. Try to visit - Ellora and ajanta caves, Forts. Believe me you'll be Amazed to see those Things. And then Try to visit - Gujurat state and explore - Statue of Unity (world's Biggest statue) ,Balasinor Dinosaur Museum, Rani Ki Vav, Champaner, Laxmi Vilas Palace, Adalaj Stepwell These are amazing places.

I had visited the Gateway of India in Mumbai so many times, even stayed in the Taj Palace Hotel fronting the Gateway for 2 weeks on official duties.
