They could scale it by teaming up with poultry farms, but that too till a limit because only big players would be willing to pay for these insects, like eggoz. They should have pitched in that way only, that we are trying to build a market of poultry feeders.

No one is going to order them online when there are dry feeds available in their local stores. Oscars for example and other large cichlids are affordable and owned by many, but why should they bear the headache of ordering it online if they can get a dry feed nearby. People are less aware regarding this and hence it needs to be pushed and backed by local pet stores.

Its equally entertaining and educative, i learnt about customer acquisition cost, advisory shares, inventory, Co-packers, cloud kitchens and few other nuances of what makes a business scalable and profitable. Sharks in USA version will actually have a brainstorming session to understand the economic sustainability of the company instead of only focusing on how profitable the business is. From comment section it's appears that people are understanding this business model more than some pf sharks.
Sharks just want to invest to make money but i guess entrepreneurship is all about developing solution for problem.
Yeah it may be true that product isn't unique but if it is produced here in India and then exported to European and western countries then it would have significant amount of market capture cause as far of my knowledge developed nations me apane pets ki care ekdam insan ki tarah hi ki jati hai and they focus on nutrition of pets as well.
Unconventional business ka majak udana asan hai pr usko business bana na hi entrepreneurship hai i guess.
All of i commented because i have seen positive response about business model in comment section

This business has potential and there is one type of fly known as black soldier fly (BSF), this fly is in his larvae stage can be used to feed livestocks, used to produce manure, Larvae contains high lipid content, there are some industries which extracts lipid content from this larvae and by doing some processing on it they make biodiesel from it and one of its byproduct known as chitin is used in beauty products as well. This insects also produces NH3 gas and that gas is also stored and used wherever necessary. To setup this plant you require very less space and very low capital investment and every stage of this fly's life is useful to make revenue out of it so in my opinion If you don't know anything then use to listen to the people instead of laughing on them!

Have watched many of these episodes. This was definitely a "new low" for the Sharks. Persistently "laughing at" the entrepreneurs from behind their leather files was really disappointing and childish!! Manners is essential. It is clear that they could not understand the science behind this product. Some of them are at times downright rude also, calling the entrepreneurs names (in other episodes) etc. Money apart, manners is important. Just think, would JRD Tata or Godrej or Mahindra ever make fun of people? No! Sharks should be mindful of not exhibiting a "nouveau riche" mentality. This business had science behind it and needed more research and experimentation, which clearly the sharks did not appreciate. If you don't agree with the product, then fine, but don't criticize the people and their thinking behind it.

@@meetme59 Yes, true! In one episode an entrepreneur was called 'Shakal' (a character from the movie Shaan) merely because of his appearance. He had a good innovative product which the (so-called Sharks) merely trashed. Another was the entrepreneur who made a gadget to check freshness of fruits. She clearly expressed her displeasure at one sharks' behaviour. Would be good if people with manners are chosen for the show. How much money they have does not matter in the least, what counts is manners and respectability, which many of them do not exhibit on the show.
