It still doesn't stay matte for me, it gets a bit of a sheen to it after a while, even with powder over, but it's comfortable, it doesn't smudge off or look streaky, and it covers up my actual skintone very well! i did a drag clown look with their white foundation and it lasted all night and didn’t even feel like i had regular foundation on! their products are amazing
Could you maybe compare oil based face paint with the colorful foundations? specifically White or Anything with red in it. does your red foundation stain like a lot of face paints do? and how does ut compare to oil based face and bodypaint?
As a cosplayer who tried Sunset makeup... OH MY GOSH GUYS ITS WORTH IT. I cosplayed Jack Skellington and Beetlejuice and both days I had to WORK to get the foundation off my sweaty face (this was because i forgot my oil based makeup removing balm, that usually does the trick 😉) I have tried so, so many white face paints and concealers and every time i ended up in the bathroom removing it after only an hour because they just didn't last. Also... They are SO pigmented! I got the white and green foundations to mix with my regular foundation color for Beetlejuice and during my CosTest i put half a squirt of green into the mix and it overpowered the mixture. Talk about quality!!! Unfortunately the white isnt quite as pigmented, but with some setting powder and maybe even a second layer its still the best white foundation in the game! Thank you Sunset Makeup!!!!
I definitely need to get your foundations as a scare actor! I always worry if my sweat or the rain will streak my makeup while working in season and plus saves time from having to build up opacity with some face paints.
For Halloween I was going as the Joker and needed a white base. I bought two face paint options from the costume store and it was like a white wash which didn’t cover my brown skin tone. I was so disappointed until I found an LA Girl white foundation at the drug store- game changer! I nailed the look. Your products aren’t sold in my country but I definitely support the notion of using proper makeup for things that are going to sit on your face for hours, for aesthetics and to be kind to your skin.
I'm really thinking about buying the white foundation for when I do my favourite makeup looks (skeleton and clown), but I don't have the money quite yet 😅 Very interested in these products though!
i love how much you cater to everybody. i remember seeing your corpse paint video and every black metal fan gathered in the comments like "omg she even did real corpse paint!". glad to see it extends to being sensory friendly & diverse
Omg this seems like it’d be such a great makeup for me! I’m a clown and the grease paint is always uncomfortable at first when I have to put it on, so something that’s more sensory friendly would be amazing!
Face paint; cheaper, might irritate skin, drying, good for short term ware, perfect to paint animal faces on kids, good for minor details. Easy to wash off. Foundation; good for longer wear, moisturizing, less cracking, good for solid colors, more expensive, professional use.
I think the difference is about what are you gonna use it for, are you going to paint your face once for Halloween and never agian and dont mind the texture? Sure go for the cheaper option, are you a cosplayer and paint you face regularly/ you cant stand the feel of the cheap paint and can afford this one? Then buy this one, but theres a clear difference in quality between the two
As a person who has used a lot of crayon kits and airbrush face paint there is a time and place, but I definitely prefer them for short wear. They get really weird after even an hour and it feels crusty. (Easy blending though, there are definitely things to like)

It still doesn't stay matte for me, it gets a bit of a sheen to it after a while, even with powder over, but it's comfortable, it doesn't smudge off or look streaky, and it covers up my actual skintone very well! A total life-saver for cosplayers and alt fashion folk alike.
I used the white and end up crying while wearing it and that shit dont budge. Ive worn the eyeliner while in a pool and it doent come off till you want it to come off ❤
This girl should be giving masterclasses on advertisement. I don't wear makeup but I always watch her when she pops on my feed and I'm shocked how quickly she can sell her products to even me 😅
this is so unrelated but you are ur eyelashes are GORGEOUS!
Omg now I really need it as a cosplayer, face paint literally makes me moisture my skin with 3 layers after I’m done taking it off
I love the argument “because it is” 😂
the more i learn about these the more excited i am to eventually have spending money and use it here
great job, that's awesome!! 👍🏻👏🏻 what a great new product people to have access to!! ❤️🧡👫💛💚👫💙💜
TYSM FOR MENTIONING SENSORY ISSUES ILY
If it’s water resistant how do you wash it off? Honestly curious no hate
You need a makeup remover designed to remove water proof makeup
I love your brows!
I wore their red and grey colored foundation + translucent setting powder to SDCC this year and it LASTS omg and feels so light. Skeptics will be skeptics, but their stuff feels amazing and looks amazing and is amazingly durable
i did a drag clown look with their white foundation and it lasted all night and didn’t even feel like i had regular foundation on! their products are amazing
I can not get over her lashes, I envy them!
Ma'am you rarely smile and when you smiled today it was so odd but your smile is so pretty😭😭😭
AH THE SENSORY ISSUES BEING TAKEN SERIOUSLY OMG😭💕💕💕 THANK YOU! regular foundation makes me wanna scream sometimes tbh
i like how you didn't dis the commenter or the face paint but still definitely proved your point!
Could you maybe compare oil based face paint with the colorful foundations? specifically White or Anything with red in it. does your red foundation stain like a lot of face paints do? and how does ut compare to oil based face and bodypaint?
I think we can all remember getting our faces painted as a kid and then the itchy feeling of it cracking during the day 😂
Like comparing a bar of soap to lotion. Foundation is different than paint
Where were you when I was doing ICP makeup for Halloween huh 😭⁉️
For anyone wondering an oil based cleanser or a cleansing balm can remove waterproof makeup! I use the cerave one :).
As a cosplayer who tried Sunset makeup... OH MY GOSH GUYS ITS WORTH IT.
I cosplayed Jack Skellington and Beetlejuice and both days I had to WORK to get the foundation off my sweaty face (this was because i forgot my oil based makeup removing balm, that usually does the trick 😉)
I have tried so, so many white face paints and concealers and every time i ended up in the bathroom removing it after only an hour because they just didn't last.
I bought a couple colors to mix for a hazbin costume, and can absolutely promise you its truly concealer.
Woah your eyes are so pretty
I painted my whole body with your pink for Halloween last year!!! Stayed on so well
Sunset makeup is EPIC for cons/cosplay events, especially longer ones😅
I definitely need to get your foundations as a scare actor! I always worry if my sweat or the rain will streak my makeup while working in season and plus saves time from having to build up opacity with some face paints.
Not the only reason being, because it is.
Literally 💀
Valid 😂
Can you do other color foundation like diffrent brand vs yours!? If not its fine!!!
Does it cover dark skin just as well?
For Halloween I was going as the Joker and needed a white base. I bought two face paint options from the costume store and it was like a white wash which didn’t cover my brown skin tone. I was so disappointed until I found an LA Girl white foundation at the drug store- game changer! I nailed the look. Your products aren’t sold in my country but I definitely support the notion of using proper makeup for things that are going to sit on your face for hours, for aesthetics and to be kind to your skin.
i love sunset foundations
Lol @ saying foundation is just paint. If it were brown no one would say that!
As someone with bad sensory issues but really wants to experiment with fun makeup looks I see this as a massive win
I'm really thinking about buying the white foundation for when I do my favourite makeup looks (skeleton and clown), but I don't have the money quite yet 😅
Very interested in these products though!
goals! hoping to get this for teifling cosplay
i love how much you cater to everybody. i remember seeing your corpse paint video and every black metal fan gathered in the comments like "omg she even did real corpse paint!". glad to see it extends to being sensory friendly & diverse
If I had the money, I'd totally buy a white one for a cosplay I want to do. But unfortunately I can't afford it :(
Omg this seems like it’d be such a great makeup for me!
The face paint side with your cheekbones kinda looks like the evil magic book with a woman’s face from the carebears movie w
Thank you so much for making it sensory friendly I hate makeup because it makes my face feel dry and heavy and I love your colourful foundations
I got your foundation for a cosplay! Thank youu❤
I like how they're basically giving you content.
😮 I have been using yellow eyeshadow for Bill Cipher cosplay. Now I need to save up to get your yellow foundation 👍
you guys should make a pack w all the colours but a lot smaller size so that you dont have 100ml of green foundation that you will use once a year
I'd love to see you compare with Madeyoulook face paints!
I think the difference is about what are you gonna use it for, are you going to paint your face once for Halloween and never agian and dont mind the texture? Sure go for the cheaper option, are you a cosplayer and paint you face regularly/ you cant stand the feel of the cheap paint and can afford this one? Then buy this one, but theres a clear difference in quality between the two
Plus hers is only 12.99, so still affordable
As a person who has used a lot of crayon kits and airbrush face paint there is a time and place, but I definitely prefer them for short wear. They get really weird after even an hour and it feels crusty. (Easy blending though, there are definitely things to like)
Great explanation!
