I am professional chef, researching regularly and always aiming to improve. One of my favourite things to cook and eat is ramen. My son has been raised in the kitchen. He is now 17. 3 years ago on his birthday he educated me on the aroma oil & tare elements in the bowl first. He does his research too!

I'd love for Uncle Roger to review a Miso Soup recipe. I wanted to make it for my family, and I ended up patching together three or four different recipes. It tasted good, but I have no idea what to do to make it better

My favorite thing about Uncle Roger is that when he points out a mistake he's able to move past it. Like, when he was pointing out the noodles were the wrong size, he praised the plating immediately after. He's a constructive critic and I appreciate that.

Actually for traditional tonkotsu ramen, thin ramen noodles are used.
As a rule of thumb, if the broth is rich and salty, thick ramen noodles are used. If they are light, thin ramen is used.
Thin noodles are used to increase surface area while thick noodles are to decrease it, and this is how noodles are used to control how much broth you take in with your ramen.

I've been to a lot of ramen shops that let you choose the thickness of your noodles so i think personal preference is part of it as well.
When I do my origami projects I love the rolling I have to do at each step.

You can find cheaper rice cookers. But honestly if you eat a lot of rice it's worth dripping a couple hundo for a nice one. And unlike a smoker they don't take up any space at all!
@@Rakumei672 I do get the first part, just having fun with the irony. Not as much the second. This might be a very US thing, but for me, outdoor space is at much less of a premium than kitchen counter space. Room for a smoker is EASY. Room for all kitchen appliances is a trick.

I have to say, the last time I was in Osaka, I went to a ramen shop right near Morinomiya Station that used roasted pork rather than braised. It was freaking amazing.
