@ I really would hope you do go sometimes soon! I feel you give your videos an aspect, not many Vlogers give. Ok it’s great to see Buddymoon or Others stop in a restaurant and say the Chicken Schnitzel was great. But you go into a bit more depth and explain it!
Thank you for this. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one interested in the details and I should cut back on them. But Myanmar is still on my list, when it's safe to go.
@ well I don’t want to push you to go anywhere you would feel uncomfortable at. However, we seasoned travellers are very cognizant, that there is the Stereotype News Version and the Reality Version. Let’s face it, neither one of us would ever have ventured to Colombia, had we waited for it to “become safe” 🙄😆😆😆
As a Thai. Pai is one of my favorite places in Thailand, even though I’ve only been there once, 12 years ago. I once planned to return, even purchasing flight tickets and booking accommodation, but I had an accident before I could go, so I never had the chance to visit again. Some people say Pai has lost its charm as a simple village, but to me, it is still filled with peace. It’s a small and lovely town. If you take the time to explore the town, its people and atmosphere will truly make you forget the outside world.
I think you would be shocked at how much the town has changed. I did not like it as it was filled with partying backpackers and many were rude and inconsiderate. But once you get outside town it is magical.
Breakfast looks great and price is reasonable even for native Thai. A big town like Pai will certainly have a proper petrol station, either the giant PTT or the private one PT (green logo). BTW, if your dish comes with a piece of lime, squeeze it on to enhance the favor. This is so for this Burmese salad or Pad Thai or Khao Soi.
I was so confused as to why Pai didn't have a proper station. I could see PTT on google but the google directions kept taking us to the station by our accommodation. Maybe someone was making jokes to keep it local. And thanks for the lime tip 😊
🎉😂😮😅_I'm Thai. Two months ago I was in Pai for two months. It was a very permanent place to live. Simple life. Happy to meet people from all over the world who come to visit Pai. I want to have a foreign boyfriend and we will buy a house in Pan. _and I think I saw you at Pai Park 2-3 months ago because the rice fields were still green, so it must have been the same time. and is the same gas station
It's DJI Mic 2 with a windscreen, although in future videos I had some problems in the last while as I realized I had noise reduction on by accident and I don't like that, I noticed it quite a bit in videos coming up in Singapore
You should avoid traveling to Pai in the summer because farmers in Thailand and neighboring Myanmar use burning methods to get rid of rice straw and corn stalks because burning requires a small budget. That is the source of smog throughout the summer.
All of the bad things I heard about Pai were really about the town. It’s a beautiful area but the centre is just people looking to party. Our first impressions were not great at all. Wearing a bikini or no shirt in town is not respectful to Thailand culture, there is no beach around. But no one enforces it so a lot of younger backpackers dress like the other people they see. In Gili Air island outside Bali we also saw signs like this but they were more prominent and it seemed that travelers respected it. So I don’t want to blame young backpackers because I think most would try to be respectful if they knew what was expected.
Pai valley is nice. All the valleys up north are nice. Often the centre of towns the worst part. Centre of Chiang Mai and Rai are cool but the other towns are pretty ugly.
You’re 100% right, in Chiang Mai when we drive to go somewhere I’m always thinking wow this city is not beautiful at all. Chiang Rai is coming next week 😊
You guys are awesome. Its a privilege to be able to travel to beautiful places like that. Hope you guys have a safe and joyful trips.
Agree 100% thank you so much!
Wow, Pai is really beautiful and the food looks delicious.
People always think of Thailand as beaches but this is just as beautiful.
Very useful v log.
Thank you
So happy you found it helpful!
Thanks for your shout out 👍
Thank you for the inspiration to go there 😊

Yes! I actually learned my lesson in Laos as I was there last April and it was so bad we had to leave.
Fabulous
It's nice to be surprised like this, I really was worried from what I'd heard.

When the mercury retreats, that is where it gets beautiful everywhere! Quite surprised that they have these signs on dress code.
