Speedrunner beats EVERY 3D Mario in 42 Hours (NO SLEEP!)

- No Sleep? 2 Days Straight? 100% 9 GAMES?! That's right, this Mario Speedrunner got over 2400 combined stars in every 3D Mario game from Super Mario 64 DS with 150 stars, to Super Mario Odyssey with 880 moons! The RUclipsr Nathaniel Bandy attempted this challenge in the past, but ultimately failed. This speedrunner did it in a 1/5 of the time, and without breaks or sleep.

(Summary)
There are multiple Mario 100% challenges out there, such as the Mario 602 speedrun challenge, the Mario 1862 speedrun, and the devilishly Mario 2405 challenge. The latter challenge includes all 3D Mario games, including Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. This challenge also includes handheld 3D Mario games, such as Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 64 DS. It also features both console games of Super Mario 3D World, and Bowser's Fury. Lastly, it features Super Mario Odyssey on the Nintendo Switch with a whopping 880 moons!
Nathaniel Bandy had questioned if he could 100% every 3D Mario game in 1 Week. However, he ran out of time (and also had breaks/sleep, which is a good thing). Yet this speedrunner, KingJ, did it in a 43 hour Twitch livestream with no sleep at all. Another Nintendo RUclipsr, SmallAnt, attempted and beat the Mario 602 challenge a few years ago. Yet another speedrunner, PointCrow, had beaten multiple Super Mario Odyssey challenges as well. However, none of these challenges met the sheer length of KingJ's 4+ years of practice for a 43+ hour marathon. Let's delve into this Mario 2405 journey, as KingJ slowly loses his sanity through a world record only he can crown!

The fact that he was able to beat 9 ENTIRE Mario games without any sleep or sanity (unlike many gamers) is incredible! Huge props to King J!
Lol true that 😂 It's mindboggling how many strats he must've remembered for this, including every location, movement, etc.
Technically, what Nathaniel Bandy was doing in his run was harder than what KingJ was doing in this run. If you don’t know, in Mario Odyssey there are A LOT of costumes to buy using coins, and Nathaniel Bandy actually spent hours coin grinding to try and get all of the costumes while KingJ didn’t. But this fact doesn’t undermine KingJ’s speedrun at ALL.
Interesting, thank you for pointing that out! I can see why some speedrun marathons cut corners here and there. Yet, that makes both Nathaniel and JKing's speedruns just as amazing!
odyssey 100% doesn’t add anything except an hour of coin grinding, which is why all moons is done instead
@@Wookis it takes MUCH more than an hour lol. As someone who's actually gotten all costumes in odyssey, I'd say it took around 5-10 hours of coing grinding. Although idk if I was doing the most efficient method, I just kept re-entering this one beanstalk sub area in Bowser's Kingdom to get a bunch of coins. I also didn't have NSO, so I couldn't grind Luigi's Balloon World
with coin duplication and optimal grinding during 100% it takes roughly an hour@@RenardioMFG
@@RenardioMFGNo, the 100% speedrun is one hour longer for coin grinding, getting all purples etc. But I don’t like KingJ so i wont argue with you about Bandy

As one of Kingj's viewers for a while now, I can say that when he announced this challenge, after one of his 602 speedruns, I was sure that he would be able to beat this, but it wouldn't be easy, but luckily everything worked out in the end. Yo this is a sick video! I am a huge KingJ fan. He inspired me to do 1862 but I could never do a 2405, I don’t think anyone else can (or will lol). Super proud of him!

Instead of this 43 hours thingy, theres a speedrun of hollow knight that was nearly 5 MINUTES.

the sprashfecta (crash 1/2/3 + Spyro 1/2/3) has been done by a bunch of people, it takes around 15 hours for an experienced runner
tell me how he beat all these games for less than 2 days.....
I edited out 100% because in some of these games you have to beat it again with other characters (e.g. sm3dw where you have to beat the game as all characters)
I believe large speedruns like these cut a few corners, like only playing SM3DW with one character (but still getting all stars), or getting 120 stars with just Mario in Galaxy 1. Yet, the players still need to collect every star (or shine, medal, etc.) in every game. JKing also practiced every 3D Mario on-and-off for 4 years, and most likely used some glitches to cut time as well. I hope that helps a bit!

Yeah, I can see that. I believe they don't do Luigi in Mario Galaxy since it's essentially the same game twice. However, if they want to extend the category another 120 stars, that's an easy way to do it, haha!
