    Toronto, July 1, 2024
    A 17-artist extravaganza with a Latin flair, celebrating women singers and dancers from around the world. Fabcollab's Women in Song features a powerful international line-up of women vocalists, dancers and musicians representing cultural tradition. Collaborating live on stage, they bring together disparate artistic practices in celebration of the incredible accomplishments of women in the arts. Global music ensemble Ventanas accompanied the singers throughout the evening.

    VENTANAS - 6-piece global music band
    Ventanas has released three albums (2013, 2015, 2019) and been nominated for four Canadian Folk Music Awards, including Best Traditional Singer (Tamar Ilana) and Best Ensemble. They are currently working on their 4th album, to be released in October, 2024 which includes three new works that they debuted with the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra in April 2022.

    FabCollab is a Toronto-based arts presenter founded in 2020 by five Toronto performers and arts advocates passionate about presenting and amplifying global music and dance, and facilitating new collaborations between diverse artists. Today, FabCollab has presented or collaborated with over 200 artists and arts professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines, and continues to spotlight minority voices with a focus on BIPOC women and gender-diverse artists.
