I love how you upcycled, this men's shirt. I have seen many different ways to upcycled men's shirts, but your design is the MOST BEAUTIFUL, that I have ever seen. It was gorgeous, when you out all the additional elastic at the waist. Luv,luv, luv it.
So cute! I love the idea of using men's shirts from thrift stores. There are some absolutely nice ones out there. For you quilters out there you can also break down men's shirts for the fabric to make quilts with. ( I discovered this idea from the channel "The Catbird Quilts"). You are an excellent instructor! Now you have given me more ideas for upcycling perfecting good fabric and making something beautiful!

OMG, I'm obsessed with that top💕 Bringing in the waist was such a great call. I screamed out loud when you said you're in Chicago! 🤩 Gotta attend a class on my next trip back home. Running to go cut up my husband's shirt right now!! 🏃🏾♀️😆
Great video!! You are absolutely stunning. You make it look so easy to make this. My granddaughters would love this. So, maybe I can do one for them. Thank you!!
I HAVE to do this immediately. The difference three strands of elastic can make! It went from a bit matronly to PERFECT. I also love the jeans you wore the top with. A great style choice.😍
You make it look so easy! Loved it. I have at least a dozen men’s shirts I have thrifted but can’t seem to pull the trigger and cut! This is inspiration.
This top is absolutely beautiful! I like my tops more tailored like you, so I will be trying the multiple elastics when I make this. Thank you so much for sharing! P.S. You are an expert with sewing elastic. I learned a lot by just watching this video!
I wish I lived in your area. I would definitely be a student. 😁 But these videos are like being in class! Love this upcycle and the instruction. Your style is so on trend and classy!
You did not look "milkmaid-y" but I like it both ways and it shows your shape the second way, why not show it off. I am filing this idea for when I find my next shirt (in my kids' closet) THANKS
Always put finished item at the VERY BEGINNING of video so I can see if that's what I'm looking for AND *wherever* you're about to sew BEFORE u touch sewing machine SHOW WITH YOUR FINGER or draw on video.. Also you should have used a DARK MARKER** so we can see MORE CLEARLY where you're drawing.. then I'll thumbs up and subscribe.. I c ouldnt see nothing nor understand easily. A lot of us are very beginner sewers trying to upcycle. Wish you would make it easier for us newbies. You're pretty **buy a thrift store shirt you won't mind marking up with dark pen
@@JenRestyleandFashion Personally, I like the explanation. I've been watching some with only music, and I find that aggravating, because I don't really know what the hand gestures mean. Everyone learns differently though. BTW, I love how you transformed the shirt. I liked the first version too.
