for those who only have 1 shirt, you can also cut the upper part first and resize it later. rather than resize the whole part. then the bottom can be use.

One is called a serger/overlocker, that is used for finishing off nicely the raw seams to avoid fraying. If you don't have that machine, you can use zig-zag stiching on a regular sawing machine :)

The first T-shirt also can cut the top only ,you can use the rest of sleeves to extend the waist , to make a dress with only 1T-shirt .

You should've cut the bottom half first before cutting the edge of the whole shirt instead of using 2 shirts to make 1 dress. No hate, just saying.
she needed more length that's why she used two shirts but we can use one if we want a shorter dress
Try to find Extra Tall dress shirts. I am 5'4" and my hubs is 6'7". His XTall shirts come to my knees. Just a thought.
