I met you Edyta, at Austin Quilt Con 2020. You said I pronounced your name correctly. It was the last quilt show I attended. Then covid lock down happened. I bought the Summer Village pattern and had my picture taken with you. Now I am going to make it with this wonderful sew along. I am using Liberty Fabrics from my stash. Thank You and Michael! Oh, I am waiting for the Alaska blue and white pre cut kit. So happy that will be pre cut, and there is video help. Love to all.

I love it. Your so giving. I’m going to start the Lady-tulip, I thought if I bought the pattern and two fat eighths I’d have enough but I need more to finish out what I need. I really like this one too, especially the little blocks to make for my littles ,my grand children. Thank you. I’ve been watching so much of your You Tube and you never change. Have a good day.

I just got the fabric and pattern, finally making a quilt for myself. Now to have you showing me all the little things to make it better and easier, life just got better! Now I feel brave enough to start mine this week. So I really can quilt along with you! Thank you Edyta, a bright light during dark winter months!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was not ready to commit to a big quilt for a sew along, but thought I would watch the video anyway. But now that you gave us the recipe for the mini version.... I 'm going to get sewing on the mini village as soon as I can! So sweet! :-)

Ah! This video is perfect! I never knew about LBQ until I stumbled upon your "tannenbaum" pattern at a shop that specializes in African prints and animal patterns...(not my style) they had a full finished top for display and I fell in so much love. Your pattern was an oasis for me in this shop. I bought the full kit but I knew I was going to have to tuck everything away bc im still a "beginner" quilter and this looked way above my skill level, just like your houses...but after watching this video I know that with you coaching me along im ready to dive into it as my next project. You're such a great teacher, thank you so much for all the little tips thruout and your super cute and fun personality! I'm so excited to follow you in my own quilting journey!

I also put each page of the pattern inside page protectors within a loose-leaf binder. Additionally, I photocopied the pattern. On the copies, I am highlighting key concepts and writing notes as Edyta instructs us. Plus, again on the copies, In the upper righthand corner of each set of House instructions, I wrote the Block the houses will be in (example, Block 1). Trying to be well organized! Big smile!

Great tips and this is a fantastic design - so eye catching!!! On top of that it can be masculine as well. I need to make one for a grown grandson that has moved into his own home and this would be perfect! I also have a grandson that is 5 yo and watches Life Below Zero with me saying he will move to Alaska and live when he is grown. This mini quilt would be a great treat for him as well as the colors just yell Alaska!

Spectacular instructions, Edyta. Very clear. Thank you!!! I am going to participate. I bought a lot of your fabric - blue, teal, pink, red, and neutral. My plan is to use all of them for a look that is a bit scrappy. Thank you also for your surprise bonus. Wonderful. sounds like fun. Warmly, Sharon

Can't wait to use the recipe to reduce the blocks. Thank you for letting us know how to do that. I have a lot of the red Anna fabric and may make my mini in red! I love this quilt and was so happy to see you do a quilt along on it. I met you many, many years ago at Quilts at the Marshall House. Looking forward to getting my kit and pattern. I meant to order it a couple of weeks ago and lost track of time. I will be a little behind, but will catch up!!

Very excited to make this quilt however, have a question. There are different amounts of fabrics but the directions for each house to cut do not specify which color fabric to use. How do you know which one to cut for each piece when it only says ‘blue fabric’ or ‘light fabric’? Isn’t it possible to run out of a particular fabric before completing the quilt? I think it would have been helpful to know which color blue fabric to cut so that the yardage ends up being correct. Please explain/clarify. Thank you.

Is this the same pattern that was a block of the month program from MSQC? I have all of it but never got it sewn up! I'm very visual, and being able to SEE you do it, is a HUGE help for me in being able to sew correctly. You give some really good tips too, that I wouldn't have thought of! So if this is the same thing, I may start on it!

I really love your quilts. I’ve made the Flea Market Treasure Quilt and I love it! I’m currently making Blue Spruce and I have plans to make the Winter Village as well. I’m really interested in the quilt behind you that has the blue appliqué and blue stars. What is the name of that quilt and where can I find it? I looked on your website and couldn’t find it.
