No because I agree lol! Spider-man is better suited as a series rather than movies that barely cover his day to day life. I even liked the love triangles in this and I usually hate when they do that
This show is a painful reminder of what could have been the best incarnation of Spider-Man. I doubt that there will ever be a good Spider-Man animated show again. It's so sad that this show has been left in the dark and will never see the light of day. From the cancellation of this show, I will never forgive Disney. No doubt that if it had been continued, it would have been one of the greatest superhero animated shows up there with BTAS. TSSM just nails everything about the characters, villains, stories, and mythology. What I truly love about the show is that Greg Weisman has stated that the show's theme is "The Education of Peter Parker". Each of the series arcs is named after courses of study: Season 1's arcs are Biology 101, Economics 101, Chemistry 101, and Psychology 101. Season 2's arcs are Engineering 101, Human Development 101, Criminology 101, and Drama 101. The show also set up villain's appearances before they actually became the villain. For the first season, it takes place over September, October, and November. Season 2 takes place over December, January, and February. According to Greg Weisman, season 3 would have taken place over March, April, and May. Greg Weisman wanted to do a DTV Spring Break movie between season 2 and 3. It would be set in Florida. Greg Weisman stated that he would have concluded the show with Peter's graduation and then they would have made the DTV's of Peter's college years.
I wish this show would've continues with three seasons and three-four direct-to-videos films with focus on Peter's college life. But nope, Disney had cancel the show, due to legal issues for no reasons, and than made Ultimate Spider-Man and later Marvel's Spider-Man, not to be confused with the 2018 video game of the same name.
Uncertainty Principle is probably my favorite animated Halloween episode. It features the finale of the Tombstone vs Goblin arc as the central focus, however it also has time for: -a hilarious Black Cat cameo that if you blink you will miss it -humanizing Jameson in a very believable way -and setting up the Venom symbiote as the ending stinger
Eddie and Peter’s friendship in the show was based off their relationship in the ultimate comics. Their dads were scientist partners and their moms were best friends, but after all four were killed Eddie and peter remained friends
@@ROCK_UNIVERSE97I agree, Avatar it's probably my favorite cartoon ever (both The Last Aribender and The Legend of Korra), and Spectacular it's in my top 10 (even if i prefer Avengers EMH)
I’m a big Spider-Man fan but I didn’t watch this show as a kid. I watched both seasons a couple of years ago and immediately bought them on Blu-ray. One of the greatest interpretations of Spider-Man ever.
I love Spider Man because it always has the quality and source material that who Spider Man is, as a character and a superhero. "With great source material comes great character of Spider Man!!" 🤯😱👍😎😀💖
Well, the Eddie Brock relationship in Spectacular was based on their relationship in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. Granted, in those comics, Peter hadn't seen Eddie in a number of years, so they weren't as close as they seemed to be in this show.
My childhood . To this day i love this show. My 5 favorite episodes (with bo particularl order : Final curtain Group therapy Identity crisis Catalysts Gangland
My favourite episode may be the second to last episode of Season 1, it's so dark and awesome, also I love the arc of Harry's addiction to the green is so dark, like drug addictions
Spectacular Spider-Man is my most favorite superhero cartoon. I watched this show growing up on Saturday morning cartoons. And after all these years I recently got the series on DVD. I am sad of course that the series was left on a cliffhanger and was canceled. But this series was amazing nonetheless. Plus that opening theme is by far the best Spider-Man cartoon theme for its catchiness.
The part with Eddie and Peter is somewhat based in the continuety. In the Ultimate universe they're childhood friends, who's parents worked on a cure for cancer but instead created the symbiote.
Honestly my 2 favorite episodes have to be catalyst and gangland. First goblin episode which gave. Lot of action and great moments(Mj also just induced and arguably the best screen version of her). Gangland really set up those last 3 episodes perfectly and had a whole bunch of action. Also really showed the consequences of Peter not only balancing his spiderman life w his reg life but also gave development on his feelings for gwen As well as show how flash really developed as a character. 2 of the best episodes in my opinion
I completely agree with the #1 pick. It made such an impression on me, surpassing the same arc in the 90s series (which is my favorite installment of Spider Man).
🎶Spiderman, Spiderman, everybody loves Spiderman!... 🎶 What I love most about this show was how well written it was. It even made Rhino, arguably Spidey's lamest villain, seem plausible. Cletus actually had a short cameo in season 2 :P Though I do wonder if Carnage could actually work in such a show. Yeah, the show did go for dark and deep themes. But Caranage is pretty much a gory serial killer. Not sure if they would ever go this far in a show like this, that's why I think, he only got a short cameo.
@@toongrowner1 Really?! I don't remember that! Guess it's time to re-watch, lol! I see your point though, however there are ways it could've been done & still be kid friendly. And as clever as the show was, I think they could've pulled it off.
oh WOW an acknowledgment of the Spectacular Spider-Man! That's one of my most favourite Spider-Man shows ever of all time but I haven't seen much talk of it so I didn't know it was so popular :D
Number 3 is my 2nd favorite episode because I reel felt like brock became more of real character and the fight sences were really good BUT my favorite is number 1 because it was very fascinating and flash became a 3rd dimensionsal character and I love the dialogue in the memories mostly where uncle ben and the symbiote are talk to each other because Peter has to choose to be a symbol or toby mugiure from spiderman 3
This truly was the best version of Spider Man and its a shame that it never got to continue for a few more seasons, I guess we can't always have nice things

"That's Spidey, He can quip it out. But he can't take it!" I also realized that's practically the same line Spider-man said to Electro in the 2nd episode. Damn this series had a good version of Venom, having him not only be superior in strength but also messing with Spidey psychologically was what made him one of the best villains.
FINALLY! Awesome Channel did a thing about Spectacular Spider-man, BEST ANIMATED representations of the wall crawler's story. Don't know, the show's so good, I can't think of a fave but I will consider the Season Finales and your #1. Also to add for me, the voice actors & actresses of the show are the best ones compared to the other ones I've seen so far voicing their respective characters. :) R.I.P. Stan Lee, Thank you for Spider-Man, who I believe is THE TRUE Hope of The Marvel Universe :')
If I'm not mistaken, Eddie and Peter's relationship was based on Ultimate Spider-Man, it's very clear how much inspiration they took, as it's not a 1:1 recreation, but that aspect of their parents dying together, the symbiote playing a part in their relationship, albeit different here, is very close to the Ultimate Spider-Man timeline.
Group Therapy is my favourite episode, as I love the Sinister Six working together, the development with the black suit, and the very well done, epic fight at the end. With regards to wanting this version of Eddie put into the mainstream comics universe, where he and Peter are friends, the symbiote enhancing negative emotions would also have to be put in there for it to make sense, as this enhanced Eddie's hatred to irrational and addictive levels to turn him into a sociopath. The symbiote affecting one's emotional state was created in the 90's show, and though it has remained popular, being adapted in Spider-Man 3, Spectacular, and Marvel's Spider-Man, it's never made its way into the comics, to my knowledge.
Such a shame this show was cut short. And #1 episode here was a really good one. This was the Spider-Man 3 moment that really did it for that the Spider-Man 3 movie couldn't.
If Marvel and Sony are beginning to play nice, maybe they can work out the rights to this show and give us the rest of the story. Remember that Greg and Victor had the plot worked out up to episode 65, and barely got a third of that. Imagine if they were allowed to develop the characters further, introduce villains like Carnage and Hobgoblin (also now that the rights are back to Marvel they could theoretically introduce Wilson Fisk and have him be a rival to Tombstone), or even just got the chance to finish the story arc from the end with Harry and Gwen.
@Channel Awesome I loved the number one episode on this video, "Intervention" is my ultimate favorite episode!! Seeing Peter facing off the symbiote in his mind was inspiring to me, and it made me remember why Peter became Spider-Man in the very first place! And I even read the comic books!! EDIT: I just realized it was episode: Intervention, I'm an idiot. Lol!
This show was what got me back into Spider-Man comics after the disgusting debacle of "One More Day". As for the list, I'd give an honorable mention to "The Invisible Hand". The Big Man is revealed, but with a cool twist that doesn't follow the expected route. And Spidey comes up against a foe with a Big advantage--the law on his side. "Officers, Spider-Man has trespassed on my property, manhandled my guards and threatened my person."
