Hello. Could you share your point of view about CF5 carbon frame? Is it true that this frame so thin and so fragile that there is a huge probability to damage it? Instead of CF3 carbon frame that much durable. I heard that CF5 only for high results (podiums) not for a weekend cycling and CF5 carbon frame fears almost every stone from a front wheel. You already have an experience of using CF5 carbon frame. Could you share your thoughts about reliability? P.S. I'm planning to buy Merida Big.Nine 8000 (CF5), but people around me say that it is too easy to damage it and it will be better to buy Merida Big.Nine 7000 (CF3) instead because CF3 has a better chances to survive than CF5 in years. Thank you.
My first/ only mountain bike was a Merida then I bought a Merida road bike all stock standard, both super reliable & fast! I even called the bike store back to thank the owner for the roadie recommendation... I pull 80km on road no hassle.
I feel yah..😄 XC bike nowadays becoming more like Skateboarder's Trail Bike. EPIC's modern & very slack geometry vs BIG 9's very fast, oldschool & visceral geometry. Unload to reload..PROCALIBER for BIG 9. 😄
Durian rider have seen the new Rocshox Sid fork Brian ? They have new damper on fork that locks it completely. I bet they have running that for 2 years now.
Just purchased a Big 9 SLX 2020 for my old man, brilliant bike for the price! 10-51 in the rear and 32 up front. He loves it!

So funny and honest. Thanks for all the info! It’s been like 4 years since I watch any of your vids.
Hydro disc vs mechanical?
Hydro for xc and cable disc for gravel.

I have a 120 400 and it's pretty great. I am looking to get a Big 9 at some point for XC and gravel grinds.
Where can I find the cycling wear you got there?
Set up tubless? If not can drop another 1/2lb or so. I also like you tried an epic, I hated it.. It was crap. Nice bike
what a legend
Would you ride this on the road like a road bike? or purely XC?
Ive dropped many roadies riding this rig on the road.
What do you do for living?
You're watching it.
Ride on the road and block cars
You do know Merida own Specialized?
Knew that in 2002 :)
This was funny & informative. Thanks for making it.
I tought epic HT sworks is the lightest HT ever made
Also the weakest. Losing 1-200g of carbon in a frame makes it weaker in crashes.
Durianrider Cycling Tips thats fact
@@itsdominik9493 I'll give you a fact, Merida own Specialized
Phil gaimon, on the sauce up that climb! FULL NATI BRA.
