    I like the way you understand that a driveway needs a crown. Some people drag it flat and call it good. Every driveway I build here in eastern NC has a crown. Great video sir!

    Compliments on the driveway repair and the Scruggs-style banjo soundtrack!

    If you set up a roller attachment on the front after using the land plane it will tighen up that gravel ! Also thow a few bags of cement into the land plane as its grading it will mix with the gravel and harden the surface when it sets the roller will seal it off water tight and it wont wash away during rain storms ! Just a idea being a ex grader operator building roads ! Good job cheers from down under !

      Hi Paul! Great idea. I don't think I would be confident enough to use cement on the driveway. It may be easy, but I feel more comfortable maintaining loose gravel for now. I'll keep your idea in mind, though,... thanks for sharing!

    Only thing that sucks about the ditch work is contamination of the stone dang pine needles fall on my driveway and make it almost impossible to groom a road without mucking up my road

      Agreed but my challenge is leaves. Leaves are less of an issue than pine needles, so my grooming works well, I just have to stop every so often and clear the leaves from the land plane

      Get a nice battery powered blower before grooming.

    Maintenance like cleaning, folks only notice when it isn't done.

      Agreed! I learned that from my manager at the pool I worked at as a young teenager. She said we had to keep the grounds and landscaping cut and looking good or folks would notice.

    Excellent video, excellent job. I have a gravel drive about 1/4 mile long. I have an EA land plane that does a great job, also a few box blades with rippers. Two tractors, Kubota B2601 and MU5660. I need a scraper blade to reditch the sides. I have spent enough $$$, and have been looking at those County Line scrapers from TS. Just am not convinced my B2601 won't tear one up. They all say "medium duty", which means "will break if used". Thoughts?

      My Landpride is sturdy after several years of maintaining my driveway. eA is the best if that is your requirement, but my requirements are mid-grade

    What brand of rear blade. Video is 3 years old. Would love to see driveway today and see how it held up. Thanks for video.

      Land Pride scraper blade. Each year I must groom the driveway due to rain and our cars.

      Hi Bryan! Yes, with the heavy rains it makes periodic maintenance unavoidable... but that's a good thing... more TRACTOR TIME!

    How wide is the blade?

  • @ericduck8273
    @ericduck8273 4 года назад

    If you lengthen the top link, the blade will cut better and drag less.
