As a Japanese-American girl, I have to say that Sandy is a huge inspiration for me since I don't see a ton of Asian-American women in entertainment and duh, she's SUPER cool.

i dont like this band much, but i once played a show with them and saw a guy trying to have a conversation with the drummer, i forget the exact words, but he pretty much said "you're a really good drummer (for a girl)" and she shut him down real quick with "YES, BECAUSE I'M A PROFESSIONAL DRUMMER" and moved on. I loved it.
For a professional drummer, she's alright. But for a girl, she's really good.

In 2012 I took a picture in Firenze from a poster from DUM DUM GIRLS show in march 29, at AUDITORIUM FLOG LIVE. Why did I take the picture? In 1985 I saw a brazilian band named DUM DUM BOYS. Just coincidence. Today I decided to check what kind of music DUM DUM GIRLS played. Not bad.

Their songs are great overall. Listen to the early stuff, too. Her voice is top notch and getting better with each release. It's not American Idol, it's real. That's way better than most stuff out there right now.

Fantastic many thanks to The Dum Dum Girls for the mix of 3 of thre greatest types of music Phil Spector's Girl Sound, 60 Garage and 70's New Wave/Power Pop into this magic sound. A pity more bands don't operate like this. Maybe they just don't have The Dum Dum Girls talent.

I love this song so fucking much
They put on an awesome show at Lee's Palace in Toronto last month. This song started the set and they finished with Coming Down, definitely one of Dee Dee's best. For $20 it was the best concert value ever for me. And I picked up their entire back catalogue for another $45.

Yeah, If you listen to more of their catalogue, theres some mazzy start and the cure and the smiths and jmac, great blend. A true synthesis of those bands. Works very well for me. Sorry I only discovered them now. cheers.

i have never heard of these girls until my friend showed me this song. I was at first captivated by their looks. They are both stunning and sexy. And then i heard their music. No autotune, actual musical talent, good voices. They made a good first impression. Very talented group.

Sounds like the pretenders
When real 'Girl' band come out and plays and writes their own tunes its a treat, like the Bangles. Most people don't get out much nowadays, even before the virus.
She's channeling Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders here which is not bad company.
With a touch of early Bangles.

This is more straight-forward 60's girl-pop/pure-pop than New Wave (Devo, B-52's, The Cars, Gary Numan, etc). In fact, this is an homage to the early 60's- you can hear the reverb 'surf' sound of the lead guitar, for example.
