Do you know why are there 3 COM connection and 1 M? What do these means?

COM is for minus (the black wire from the solenoid), I had the solenoid that worked the other way around (red wire to COM and black to 1,2,3...8), M. is for the engine or pump if you have water pumped with the help of a pump to start the pump when it needs water, it doesn't matter what COM (1,2,3) connect the solenoid valve all do the same

Now, I just need to figure out how to set it. Appreciate if you can help.
The instructions is not clear about Program A / B . Put it simply, I am using it with 2 solenoid valves (S1 & S2) and I am trying to figure out how to set the Interval so that Solenoid 1 (S1) is triggered on Odd day and on Solenoid 2 (S2) on Even day. Both for 60 minutes from 0800hrs.
