@@davidanthonystone5165 You are so lucky. She requested me to play harp for them one rehersal. I will never forget that time. I also got to sit right next to them a foot or so away and heard them do When the ship comes in..Invisible People and 'Of this World"Wow wonderful
Yes and back in the folk days all them trios could never look nor sound as good as PP&M..The others wore striped shirts and were beardless and looked like right out of boot camp lol but here comes Peter and Paul with the goatees and Mary with that beautiful hair. Tey were ahead of their times even then..
@@jondoes8222 Yeah, they performed those same three songs at a concert of theirs that I saw in Marin, CA in September 2004 (When The Ship Comes In was the opening number) shortly after their In These Times album and Carry It On PBS special each premiered earlier that same year.
@@FantasticGaming-pw8st Lol. When Peter and Noel Paul and Mary were all a lot younger during their early beginnings as a trio together in the 1960s, Peter and Noel each sported goatees. Today, Noel Paul wears a full beard and Peter wears a goatee. During the 1970s, '80s, and '90s, Peter and Noel Paul were each mustached.
Without as much "lilt" as Paul, I sang this (slower and in a lower register) as my audition for the part of the Sheriff in the musical "State Fair". Nailed it... got the part... finished the run. Thanx, PP&M and Rosie.... [wherever U R].
God's hand is in this gathering of people and their heavenly voices.
Mary is gone far too soon, but her music with Peter and Paul should last for decades, if not centuries. It is just so perfect.
There will never be a person like her again nor that famous voice. Life is too quick on this earth I have always said that.
what happened to her? it is so sad to hear...
I am here B'cause devil in Ohio 😅
May God bless her.
A Devil In Ohio brought me here. Man what a good song. I love it. Will be adding it to the playlist at work tomorrow 😊

MY FAVORITE GROUP IN THE WHOLE WORLD....RIP to Mary. :(

A light went out in the world when she passed.
One of the nicknames for PP&M was "A beard, a bass and a blonde." I really miss them.
Which one has the beard? Mary?

As well as "two bearded prophets and an angel".
Ah, the good old days, when musicians actually had talent.
PPM did this so beautifully
Its a better slower version than the rushed one in their 2nd album Moving . The In Concert version is great.
Dick Kniss Bassist really brought this all out . Have a listen to it with earphones or speakers.

Stand up bass amazing performance
With a beautiful performance
Beautiful and oh that dress Mary wearing is pretty. They looked so good together as always
Ron Delby the dress is hideous
I didn't notice the dress, only their marvellous voices!
@@jessicasobin I loved it hehehe It reminded me of the silky christmas candy colors for Christmas.
@@jessicasobin The dress is holidayish and I love it.
@@rondelby2482 Yeah, it looks like Mary is dressed in beautiful holiday stylish wrapping paper! :)
This song was a Christmas staple, but sadly no more.
It has a hint of Halloween by referring to soul cakes.
@@rondelby2482 Interesting.
what a beautiful song! Musically it is similar to a shanties. Greetings from Poland
Merry Christmas ! from the states

GAWD! I miss Mary Travers!

One of my fondest memories is of attending a PP&M concert in Atlanta.
I wish i could have seen them all from start to end
Neat. What year?
that made me cry
Why did you cry?
I has some sprinkles of Halloween in this song.
All saints day is nov 1 all souls day is nov 2
Beautiful and Amazing
The devil in Ohio brought me here .. what beautiful music!

Hzpeter paul
Peter Paul and Mary music speaks louder than words
Is the one in the center Peter or Paul?
When judith durham from the seekers died the boy's did a tribute song for her too
did paul and peter ever do a tribute song for mary?
Sex is a tool by the devil
That was an odd random comment
