Disney World opened in 9/1971. I was employed there from that time until 9/1973. Roy Disney was a wonderful leader who set the example. He visited the employees and was very involved. After Roy died the culture of the way Disney World changed over night. It became a large corporation with little interest for employees and visitors. It was sad.
my 1st trip to Orlando Disney in approx 1970 - my parents said they could afford the entrance fees - and; we were allowed one ride - we choose the haunted house - sad, to go all that way - and; then barely be able to afford to pay fees to enter the park and get 1 ride - we did NOT even get any food; because it was so overpriced at the time, MY PARENTS refused to spend that type of money on food - my parents decided to splurge for one ride - and; then depart , NOT worth wondering around a place you can NOT even afford to be - it was a very disappointing trip; esp. for a kid who was only 12 years old !!! i'd rather have stayed at the beach, and, swam for free - you know, i left the park feeling very depressed, and, like a very poor reject, and, instead of feeling very excited for going - i felt very very sad - and, i never in this life could ever give anyone a positive testimonial for a trip to disneyland !!!
who need to earn 65million dollars a year! its sick in the head when when you have people who can't afford to live we need a serious morality and spiritual awakening
