Thank you for the concise and informative review. Is both the guitar and your mic directly connected to the amp? I'm trying to get a feel for the sound of the actual sound coming out of the amp. I'm assuming that the sound I'm hearing (both your singing and playing) is from the mic pointed at the amps speaker?
Hi Tommaso from Italy here, I need to buy a battery powered acoustic amp for occasional busking and parties, would you recommend this or the Fishman Loudbox? The Orange is cheaper and lighter but I'm afraid it might not get loud enough. Thanks
Hi Ben. Thanks so much for this review. Besides your valuable opinion I also found it pretty well produced. That led me to one question about your setup. Which mics did you use for singing and recording? Was that an SM 58 and an SM 57 at the amp? Thanks in advance, Johannes
Not my cup of squash sadly, but then again it’s probably not aimed at me. Oh, and it’s not brown so it can’t be all that good, right? Only kidding of course. I’m always amazed at the K&K though in most demos that I’ve heard. It even sounds pretty decent here. Most people on the AGF recommend the Fire-Eye Red-Eye preamp, but I bet you’ve got your live sound dialled through something great? Best acoustic reviews out there. Thanks, Ben.
I thought it was nice to see a 'non-brown-box' acoustic amp for once! Thanks Peter - the K&K does sound good and, actually, I thought the Orange did a good job with EQ'ing it - mainly I think because of the notch filter that dealt with the large peak at 100-200hz that I think the K&K suffers from. Heard lots of good things about the Fire-Eye but never tried one myself - currently live I either use an Ear Trumpet Edwina if I can get away with not plugging in, or a K&K combined with an internal DPA 4061 mic through a Grace Design Felix if I need to plug in. Ben
Hey, great video. I'm thinking of either this or the boss street cube for busking ( only solo acoustic)..... anybody know what is the best option? Cheers
I have ordered this amp on Amazon after your detailed review. 👍
I use a Marshall AS50R and have to say the chorus on that is fantastic, I also have a micro terror which I think is brilliant👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Hey - it's a DPA D:facto II on the voice and a DPA 4015A on the amp, Ben
@@AcousticReview Thanks! I bought it and am pretty happy with the amp.

make some Schertler amps review please !
is it loud enough to play at a bar patio?
Hmmmmm, that chorus above minimum was pretty horrid. I agree it is best fairly clean
does anyone knows how to plug headphones into the amp?
Thanks
The chorus sounded terrible. Dont like that reverb and chorus are shared, and no tweeter. Seems like there's much better choices in this price range.
