Just did this on my 1996 Nissan truck. I took mine out through the passenger side wheelwell. The original Alternator lasted 26 years and 175K miles. I hope the lifetime guaranteed TYC alternator will last that long.
It's easier to take the alternator through the wheel side just have to unbolt 2 10milli bolts and some metal lines move down a bit giving you enough space to take the alternator out 👀
For anyone trying g to change this alternator ots easier to take it firm the wheel well if you don't have enough space from the car setting normally jack it up Un the front passenger side in my case and it's much easier and more space
@@nrshotgun I’m not sure which wire you are referring to. Usually there is a wire from the battery that goes on the main terminal of the alternator. If it has a diode it would be to regulate voltage. Maybe the alternator or solenoid?

Thank you! I would have taken those top hoses off to, but, that's just my two cents worth! 😁
Thank you very much the video was very helpful
Probably gonna take me hours to do this.
My brother changed my last one In 30 minutes 😮
It is a pretty easy job compared to cars or smaller SUV’s.

Where do the black wire from the diode goes?
