While I do understand why people are upset over it, I do not plan to change it, unless Atlus officially tells me to do so. Edit end
First time fighting this boss, but even then its not really that bad of a boss.
Even though Brave Blade deals "Colossal damage" it's honestly not that big of an issue, unless it crits...and it has a high crit rate.
Laevateinn is Almighty based and it hits like a truck, so Izanagi did me no justice.
His use of Tetrakarn and Makarakarn is easily dealt with, as Ryuji/Ann can zap him with a spell with no repercussions, and reflected basic attacks don't really harm you that much.
His Maragion doesn't really do much as Ryuji resists fire and Ann flat out nullifies it.
Makoto might have been a better choice for a healer apposed to Morgana, as she has higher Endurance, access to Marakukaja, and resists Curse, but meh Morgana was fine.
I enjoyed this fight, though it was a hell of a lot easier than Ongyo-Ki, fuck that fight.

He did great at being a Calm Innocent Child

He did sway sway in bread winners so why wouldn't he do it good

man goro was one of my favorite characters but he facked it up
Goro is best persona char as he is, a traitor, a killer, a bastard 8) Thats what makes him so special as a playable party member. I glad they did not make another annoying Naoto.

Haha, matter of taste of course all this. But I really like that P5 return story to serious route of unsafe fights & dangerous friends. I cant stand P4 because of that (play it on ps2 & vita & even modded both though). But I play persona since p1 & kind goody-goody story about team of friendly, but not very smart schoolers was not something I expected. Goro is like Shinji, who is my fave from original playable p3 cast. I like when game have such party members, a real killer, a real deal. Serious guy, who knows what death is. So Goro was a gift to me & instantly became my persona fave.

Naoto, even without her detective status, is a girl who loves to solve puzzles, just because she inherits that joy from her family tree.
Akechi, inherited his lying tactics from his deadbeat dad (even though Akechi should be worse than Shido due to the fact that he has a Persona).
Adachi was dedicated to his work until an unknown slipup demoted him. His worldview changed to that of nihilism and ignorance. Even more frustrating is the fact that he only joined to attain special benefits (like a gun license, as Adachi admitted).

I played through the entire game with Girimekhala (sp?) as my persona nd I laughed so hard when Akechi hit himself with his own attacks.
A gread job on defeating him on such high difficulty! It was really enjoyable and exciting to watch, especially since most players have OP Personas that reflect pretty much all attacks. It was refreshing to see a fair battle!
KiaishiNoKure I'm not the biggest fan of having those really over powered personas that nullify everything, especiall during bosses. I heard that you can bring personas that nullify attacks into the Ultimate Boss, which kind of disappoints me, but when I decide to take them on, I'll try to do it as fairly as possible.
Yeah and the game is way more fun that way anyways.
First playthrough was fair and square in a way, did bring one or two Rank 10 Persona's but they were in hindsight horribly setup with no resists or bonuses, the allies guys did way more damage than the M.C, he just had lots of coverage but no Amp/Boosts. Also didn't quite have the gist of the importance of buffs/debuffs so it got hairy at points.
Playthrough 2 used Satanael just because ya kinda have to.
Playthrough 3 was an insanely tuned Arsene (99 in three stats, Almighty spells)
Playthrough 4 was solo Pixie on Merciless.....because if you seriously replayed this game this many times, you are kinda obligated to do something as ridiculous as that.

I had Thor fused and was so low on hp and sp when I fought Akechi. It was a pleasant surprise to see Akechi summon Loki😂
This fight happened at the worst possible time for me. I had pretty much went through the entire palace in one go, low on items, running on fumes in terms of SP, but I was still like: "Eh.. I'll take on this cleaner boss, then head for a save room, then come back.
LITTLE DID I FUCKING KNOW...
Somehow I was able to push through the entire scene with Akechi without dying.

Best way to fight akechi: put your least used party members against cleaner and then your best against Akechi. For example: i had haru, ann and morgana against cleaner, then switched to ryuji, yusuke and makoto. With this strat you'll save a soma :)

snkhuong You've gotta have the Star Confidant to switch them. Rank 1, i believe, only Joker can switch people on his turn, but at rank 10, any party member can use their turn to swap places with a reserve member

Adachi and Akechi really have a lot in common, their jobs, the way they act, and them being villains who start talking shit during their boss battles :P. As for the VAs, Yu was voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, Akria was voiced by Xander Mobus. The two sound similar.

Yaldabaoth (The game gives you a Soma immediately preceding this fight so you should be fine).

Bruh. Never had a problem with SP in any difficulty for some reason.
Still think the title of the video should be changed. Would suck if someone saw this in their recommended. I think if spoilers are discussed in threads and comment sections, it's fine, but it's really dumb to just put it in the title when an unsuspecting novice to the game can happen upon it against his or her will. It's inconsiderate not to change it, especially since other videos with the same boss battle are titled as "Traitor" boss fight.
Is akechi a good guy in Q2?
