Randy, your my kind of Cheap Audio Man. Its easy too tell that you, like me, probably discovered what real sound quality is at live music events and have been trying to recreate that experience in your living room ever since. I love that you dont listen to obscure audiophile music in order to admire your gear...
Duderino... that's my literal test for a speaker. Hey. I went and listened to a band and it sounded like this. And then I bought their live album and it sounded similar. Done. Good speaker
I was bored and looking for something nice to watch on RUclips. I'm so glad I've stumbled on this channel. Saw "cheapaudioman" and though "well, this must be interesting!". I'm glad I watched the whole thing. Keep up the good work, sir. You're authentic. I like that.

Got the Dali Spektor 1's in part thanks to your review, perfect fit for my desk setup, really enjoying them. Been waiting on the 2's review after what you said about wanting to run out and buy a pair in the previous video. :)
Wow! Dali's are good stuff. You're really cranking them out! I still think you gotta try a Monitor Audio. The Bronze 100 is getting raves everywhere at $600, and the Silver 50 blows away the Polk R100 at the same price. But, no one has covered the Bronze 50, so there's an opening there for you.
I love your videos but the way you move the speakers around is so smooth and natural that I think you should almost rework your choreographing and make it a little more uncomfortable when you present them sort of like you’re going to knock any one of them over at any minute. Maybe a cheaper plastic or cardboard box to support them would help. Great work!
I have the QAcoustic 3020i (and 3030i - I'm a bit obsessive) speakers in my bedroom, and by positioning them atop my wardrobes (closets) with the doors open, I've created some DIY bass bins! Who needs to spend a fortune on those massive Klipsch things, eh?
But , when the company sent a speaker to be reviewed , like this video , I can see the end of the review , there is no conclusion except , both speakers are good . The review is no longer reflect the true picture of their qualities. The reviews are for consumers , not for the companies . We would like to know which speaker you prefer and reasons . The bass , which one you prefer and why , the mid and the treble etc .
Q has got some crazy cool design going on! Nice deep box on that. Good for near field computer speaker use? Is there a twelve step program for bookshelf speaker lovers?
Randy...another amazing video full of solid gold content !!!! 😂 Have you completed the CSS 1 TDx with upgraded crossover? I am starting to Eye ball the CSS 2TDX w upgraded crossovers. I am curious what beats them under $2500
You can tell the 3020i has some decent bracing just based on that wop at that end. Chane A1.5 I've recently listened to is super inert sounding when I knock on it.
Been waiting for reviews on theese :) Dali is a danish company. I think Jamo also originally is danish. Only the Mission LX-2 are missing for me to come to some conclusion on which ones to buy.
Surprised the price increase in the US is that much these are £200/£220 in the UK. Guess it's the import and taxes I didn't think it would be that much though.
Thank you for showing the back. I was just wondering in your opinion, since you have tested so many speakers, how do five and a half inch woofers compare with 6.5?
Great vid as usual. i own a Cambridge audio AXA35 amp (2x35watt), and still wonder witch speakers to buy. I believe the Dali speakers need a more powerfull amp ?
The Q Acoustics always look so damn good. - Also, Randy, sorry to keep bringing them up but any chance you've looked into the Chane A1.5 or A2.4's? They get rave reviews everywhere on AVSforums but haven't seen much actual hands on reviews on YT. Curious how you would rank them.

Nice review, Randy. You're looking tired, get some rest. When you get a chance, try to review some NHT speakers; nice acoustic suspension speakers, within a cheap audio budget.
Привет, я уже три года пользуюсь DALI Spektor 2, и считаю их очень хорошо сбаласированными, неутомотельными, довольно прозрачными, динамичными и очень универсальным по музыкальным жанрам. К тому же эти спикеры очень лояльных к усилителем разных производителей. Ну и мне ещё очень нравиться их классический дизайн и цвет дерева черный ясень. Я очень рекомендую вам их послушать! Удачи.
Do you know what capacitors and other parts GR Research uses for their DYI XL Encore speakers?? Like if someone could give me a list of the parts with the exact model
I get your approach and it does differentiate you from other reviewers. However; you really should know that Dali is a Danish company and Q Acoustics is British. Sorry to be pedantic but it’s makes me feel you can’t be bothered to do your prep 🧐
My suggestion is to be a little less " pedantic " , don't get triggered by comparatively insignificant details , and just relax and enjoy the review . This is more of a laid back " how does it sound " review channel as opposed to a " check off the technical details " channel .
Waiting for you to tell me about an inexpensive bookshelf that can handle like 900 watts RMS and just rocks so hard and sounds so good they give you a bowel movement. Ok?
Hey Randy, can you check out the canton sub 12.4 i could get this one for 602$(495euro). I gave up to buy the svs sb or pb 1000...... they would cost me 850$ (699euro) thats far too much for me right now :(.
I've had a couple Dali Spektor 2 for over a year. I realized that I don't like Spektor 2, they are not detailed enough, and I don't like any Dali`s - they don't have enough natural sound.
I felt that way about Dali a bit but more so with the Dyn Emit 10...perhaps Danish sound is like that? Still, I heard Spektor 1 and Oberon 1 and they weren't bad, enjoyed more than Emit 10 for overall SQ but size definitely limits output and dynamics. The prices have really jumped though. For small speakers I use both Cambridge Min XL, cheap but very listenable, although there are better for music it works well nearfield as well as Triangle Zetas, absolutely fantastic little speaker now discontinued which has alot of detail, separation and good stage depth. I preferred the Zetas to Dali Menuet SEs for overall detail and stage size, depth, width. The Menuets however had great resolution but missed alot of detail they should have had IMO, good attack and just a really nice 3D stage if placed properly. Had it had the requisite details I'd have kept it even though it was a pig for power. Just goes to show spending more doesn't necessarily get you better or more of what you need. The restock fee cost more than what I paid for the Zetas...btw.
This guy had a couple Dali...then realized he doesn't like Dali? Sounds like the competition speaking to me! Alternatively, if the comment is factual...it's so illogical that Dali is even better now, after reading that nonsense!
