Fantastic!! These storybooks just wouldn't be a thing these days. We were so easily entertained in the 80s. Life was much simpler. Thanks for sharing these with us mate 👍💙
This is actually a fairly layered and complex story for the target audience. I'm sure my Talon Fighter/Point Dread came with a version of this on record not cassette tape. I know my Secret of the Sword was a record. Skeletor is brutal in this incarnation.
Much prefer this continuity to the cartoon continuity. No alter ego for He-Man, a less bumbling, more menacing Skeletor...sure, it was still all in service of selling toys, but it had more of a Conan flavor to it.

Awesome. Listening to this felt like 1980s all over again.
Skeletor sounds like joker.
This was great on so many levels.
This was so cool 😎. Voice acting was amazeballs.
I used to go to sleep as a kid listening to this story. Thanks for letting me be able to do so again! Love to see you dramatize this story.
0:56 When the music kicks in...that was a sick beat, even for 1982/1983.

4:38 'This is another of...He-Man-tor's nightmarish tricks?'
The record skipped at that point... I left it in! LOL!

Okay the voices are not even close to the TV show but I can totally picture these characters sounding like this. :-)

"...destruction in THERE wake"?! Well, that explains a lot about modern internet spelling. 🤣
Love this
Was this on vinyl?
Thanks remember I had story teller books on tape
It was a vinyl record and comic included with the original point dread and talon fighter playset

The spirit of Greyskull looks like skeletor; Castle Greyskull looks like skeletor.... That's fishy. Castle Greyskull should be Skeletor's place.
Skeletor would agree with you…
Art by Alfredo Alcala. Script by ...???
I don’t know. No author is credited.
