  • Made out of reinforced polymer, this MSD Atomic Air Force Intake for LS engines is lightweight, extremely strong, and also eliminates heat soak. Bolt it on and you gain up to 36 rear wheel horsepower. MSD is also first with an aftermarket intake for the Gen V LT1 engine found under the hood of the new Corvette Stingray.

MSD needs to do a better quality control job on these intake manifold molds.

Very interesting 35 HP over the competition not the stock version

Why would someone pay $1000 for an intake that want increase hp on a stock car?
If u want more hp, you have to change the cam.

***** You can always do both of those things to collectively make more power.

Benjamin Garay Over stock Intakes does not increase hp. The only reason u believe they do is because the people who sell them said they do.
Don't give me that "You have dyno your car" bull shit because it's a lie. They dyno videos on youtube are the people selling intakes.

***** Even if it does increase as much as they say, it's still not really worth it. I think a better use of a few grand is forced induction. I would understand using one of these intakes if it wasn't so expensive.

Benjamin Garay If it cost $100 I would not buy it because it want increase hp at all. How can I say that without dyno testing it? I know how to increase hp, change the cam, add nitro or like u said boost it. Those are the only way to get more air in to any engine.

***** I could imagine a horsepower increase over a manifold that is just trash, but to me it's really just a cool looking manifold. Now that I think about it, the price is actually similar to some of these performance marketed complete kits. So if I were building an engine, and didn't already have a manifold, I would consider this. But I wouldn't replace a manifold with this unless the first manifold was not working correctly, utter garbage, or really ugly, and I was building a show car. Other than that, I See no reason to replace a perfectly good manifold with this considering the price.

Too bad the product they keep bringing to all these shows isn't the same
product they're selling. The injection molding here looks clean, but
in reality it's very poorly done. The seams are big and ugly, and there
are hideous flaws on the back side. Don't bother calling customer
service about it, though; they'll just give you some bs about how that's
an unavoidable part of that manufacturing process. I know for a fact
that's a lie, because hundreds of companies (Magpul, for example) make
products using the same process that look a lot better and have no flaws
that you can see without a microscope.
On top of that, this "drop-in" product is anything but. For LS1
applications, you'll need to replace the steam ports, fuel rails,
injectors (unless you buy a $30 adapter kit for the stock injectors),
water pump (or take a grinder to the stock one), and a $30 throttle
cable bracket. That's on top of the $900+ they charge you for a poorly
    engineered, poorly manufactured product!
