Both bikes are really good. They both produce great power and handle really well. Yea the Honda handles quite a bit better than the YZ. With my experience on the YZ, the Honda overall out preformed the YZ. But I love both bikes and are very powerful and reliable bikes.
really good review and completely true about how the rider feels is a big factor ive always gone with yz only ever had 1 ktm and the rest have been yamaha

I know u comparing Honda where I’m at I’ve only seen the kx 250 n 450 and yz 250 n 450 so which u think is best between well not necessarily best cus I like all bikes just which is more reliable and worth the 8k n 9k I usually buy bikes off the street but need a new 1
That is a tough one, I don't have a lot of experience with the kx's. I can tell you the 250 and 450 yz's have a lot more adjustability with the power tuner app. Kawi's have great power along with a hydraulic clutch . but not as much adjustability. As long as you do regular maintenance both with will last a long time. Personally I would go with yamaha they're very reliability and you can tune the bike how you want it.
You can tune the Yamaha way more than any other bikes and save money on that aftermarket exhaust. The new Honda 450 motor seems weak to me compared to the Yamaha and it’s front end gets nervous at high speeds. I’ve had Honda Kawasaki and Yamaha. Yamaha personally does everything for me and the motors and valves last way longer than my Honda did. My kid had 151 hours on the valves without needing an adjustment! On his yz250f. Same with another friend of mine he had 200hrs.
@@mxr7586 Yeah I love the tuneability for Yamaha. like you said they have a great engine package that is extremely reliable. Honda has a great chassis and there motor isn't bad after switching to Efi. However I have not gotten to ride the new Honda 450s to compare. That is interesting.
Yamaha makes a better 250 overall except for really tight turns. Build quality is about equal maybe Honda a touch better. Yamaha feels much stronger. But the 450? The Honda is far superior on every criteria of performance. A 450 Honda is really just TOO much bike for most people. The majority of riders even skilled ones just don’t need or fully utilize a 60 horsepower motocross bike. It’s insanity how fast that 450 Honda is.
Yeah man the dual exhaust is starting to weigh on me. I love the yamaha engine sound though, but i like the hondas too cuz it almost sounds like a 2 stroke, to me at least. blehh idk wht to gettt 😢 06 honda crf or a 14 yz250f?

It really depends on how much experience you have had on a dirt bike. A crf250f doesn't have a ton of power like a race bike does. I would say as long as you can either touch the ground with both feet or be comfortable with only one foot touching. And 2 have good throttle discipline you will be fine. There isn't really any age group for those types of bikes but more what you are able to comfortably handle.
