well, technically speaking its not just the body but also personality, a persona is your true self, arsense is jokers true persona, even though he is a wildcard, the reason for this is because joker is willing to do wrong in order to do good, joker is the type that, if a person saod he had to choose between saving 1 or 100 hed shoot the one who asked, but if it was actually a forced choice he'd kill the one person for the other 100, assuming he cant sacrifice himself, however, what sets him apart from others and links him to arsene dorectly is self sacrifice, hed rather have himself hurt than hurt others if possible, that is the essence of arsene, to always choose justice even if it is by dirty means, you can be a wildcard, yes, but 1 persona will resonate with you more than the rest, and that persona has to have a relationship with you, be it body, personality, or both, arsene is also a special persona, he is a real person that died and became a demon, even if he dies hell will just welcome him instead of punish him, he is chained to hell but not restrained by it, reason he could form the contract with joker as his persona for the small duration that happened, joker simply accepted hed also be binded by the chains of hell, chances are joker will go through the same thing arsene did and become a persona if he dies later, ironically enough i think the reason why they are so compatible is because if arsene hadn't become a persona, he'd have reincarnated later as joker, or perhaps joker just being somehow related to him even if unlikely, the dlc even supports arsene being his true persona by giving him an awakening
