In the excitement of seeing this at the con, I didn't fully take in how perfectly crafted it is. The timing of their expressions, particularly at "would it really kill you if we kiss" was fantastic. And I love how you used their cowboy hats around the idea of hiding their feelings. My favorite detail is probably the "California never felt like home" and Hutch putting on his aviators....and then finally taking them off. Wonderful concept and fresh!

"Would it really kill you if we kiss" was definitely a section I deliberated over A LOT, because I felt there were several clips that worked there, but ultimately I liked the charged looks between them best. Also some of my other ideas were weird, like, there's a scene where Hutch parks his car nose-to-nose with the Torino, and I thought, "That's like the cars are kissing, that could work there!" But only if other viewers' thoughts are running along the same weird paths that my thoughts run. ;-) Are you coming to the con this year? I still don't know if I can make it, but I really hope I can.
@@garrideb Haha! A car kiss! The best feeling is when you take a chance going with your weirdest thought and other people are right there with you. Yeah, that's what it was about the kiss line looks---not so much like they're on the distant verge of kissing, but just those questioning looks of tension/frustration. I'm planning on coming to the con. I hope you can make it! I'm toying with the idea of non-flight commutes, so y'all should let me know if the idea of a 13 hour drive sounds "fun".
@@margarethaney8404 Yeah, it's true that I often love weird choices in other people's vids. It's great to have that "aha!" moment. As for driving to the con, I'm not against a 13 hour drive, and I do like saving money. I'm in Wisconsin. What state are you in?
