ian: mentioning the whole game 😂
Hikaru faces the final boss in round 14, it’s wild that he is completely in charge of his destiny! You can’t write it any better
Summary of the game: "I made some moves, he made some moves, but ok..."
bro is too hard on himself
he really is, nepo trash talks himself like 5x more than he trash talks all of his opponents combined
Listen to that without the moves displayed on the screen is for me like listening to a foreign language without subtitles
Well credit to Nepo. He was the only unbeaten player at the candidates. And his game versus Caruana was epic. Its normally hard to remember chess games for viewers but this one will stay with very many of us.
The tournament is unforgiving. Went from clear first to fourth most likely out of 4 to win it without even losing.
He’s not 4th but joint second
@@AyaanKhan-tb2ot There are not joint places in the end, he finished 3rd
@KemosabeTBC on a tiebreak rule which doesn't make sense (most wins - that also means most losses which means your games were worse, fewest losses would make much more sense in a chess tournament)
@@joelmacinnes2391 Neither options would be perfect but imo fewest losses doesn't make sense, conversely that also means fewest wins. If you look at other sports the tiebreaks always favours more wins
A surprise which you expect is hardly a surprise. ;-)
Now he is in a must win situation with black, a very tough position. Unfortunately for him his chances are very slim to win the candidates tournament for a third time.
At least Fabi is also in a must win situation and so will have to take some risks. If Fabi was out of it and had no incentive to press hard, it would be even worse for Nepo.
They both must be now regretting it after Gukesh wins
but that was the best chance for them individually
No Problem Hikaru will win against Gukesh
Tomorrow they may regret it, but you can only play on today's merit. And today risking can be seen as stupid. I think Nepo, HIkaru and Caruana are okay with tiebreak. Only Gukesh will be disappointed if it ends up with tiebreak.
Hikaru still is in control of his own destiny
It's all fine for Hikaru as he knows a win against Gukesh grants him at least tiebreaks if not outright win. But Ian has to win and even then can go to tiebreaks at best (with Hikaru win or draw) or he can come short if Gukesh wins.
Didn't Mikhail Tal say that playing for a draw with white is a discredit to chess?
Tal didn't play with engines
His opinion
probably meaning to play for a draw from the start. here they just had a line where they were not sure they could continue without having a disadvantage
Gukesh Dommaraju 😎
Feels like Ian just gave up or something, should have gone for the win smh. Gukesh is going to win and he damn well deserves for fighting for it.
G is losing to H.
@@broken1394H should go back to play title Tuesday
youngest world champion is coming
keep dreaming lindu
@@skyeez2461cwe'll see what happens but till now in candidates I think gukesh is the only one who is committing the least number of mistakes during games.
@@skyeez2461cLol how shitty of a person you must be to bring religion in chess just because it's an Indian player leading the candidates. Cry harder.
@@skyeez2461c showed your shitty parents and your shitty upbringing from that comment. Good Jobs
still, he looks 30+ 😂
Gukesh 🤞
He talks like a robot.
Gukesh will win the event🎉🎉
You were right 😮
Naka wont beat guki, you heard it right
Only fabi has to hold ian and we have the youngest candidates winner
Gukesh for sure will challenge ding
Naka wins this.
hi
I like Nepo because he "cares" more than Naka.
Yes and contrary to popular beliefs, caring is cool
Naka cares A LOT but copes by saying he doesn’t so people think he’s badass.
Nakamura lies bro se how upset he was loosing to vidit he just lies so that when he loses people say he wasn't trying
@@gusleffers9265 it's not about being a badass, it's just a good attitude to have in life in general.. being in fear of losing only begets play bad chess anyway.. so better to be calm and not attach yourself to a result.. if you win then you played well, and if not life goes on
@@prakhyatsingh263 he never said he doesn't care, he just said not be like his younger self and be attached to results.. every human being natural reaction to losing in the moment is to be disappointed, otherwise he is not human

I liked the video, not your comment. Trying to get likes this way is cringe
chokamura could never
I want fabi to win
Gukesh is objectively most likely to win. I sure hope he does.
Rooting for gukesh man
